We wanted to add more landscaping to the front and back of the house, and Becky worked with us to get us what we wanted. She always meets with us first to see what our vision is and to come up with a plan. She comes back with a personalized proposal quickly - usually within a few days. She helps us with some decisions, based on what we want and what is actually doable/practical for our setting. She doesn't try to sell us on what she thinks we should do, or whatever happens to be in abundance at the nurseries at the moment. Becky is great with communication and is always on site for questions. We've been working with Becky for almost 20 years, and we were thrilled to find out we could work with her again. Unfortunately, we used a different company recently, when we thought Becky wasn't available. We didn't get the same customer service that we get with Landmark. We're glad she's back, and we can continue to work with her! read more

Several weeks ago I had various landscaping projects completed by Landmark. Initially Becky and I walked the yard, she then prepared a detailed estimate of the job proposal. That included weeding a large island and landscape beds, tree and shrubbery trimming, shrub removal, bullet paver installation, addition of dirt along the foundation as needed. All work was completed in a timely manner to my complete satisfaction. Last year I used Landmark to repair areas of my paver patio as well as to check and repair my underground drainage from the gutters to the yard. Terry and his crew came out last summer to repair some sinking pavers and re-sand and seal my patio. It all looked great until a few weeks ago when i noticed the sand had cracked and/or was missing from the perimeter and area that was redone. I had a year warranty, but was told Terry DID ME A FAVOR when he came out this week and poured some sand over the cracks, worked it in with an auto snow brush, and did NOT sprinkle it to set up properly. Becky stated sand cracks and voids happen ( even though it WAS SEALED ) and are not warrantied--which was never stated when I hired Terry. Will not consider them for any future work-ever. read more

I can't even give one star. I called got a estimate everything went smoothly. I had a rockbed installed and it looked pretty good. I was happy with install but it started to show signs of little problems I didn't think much of it and figured a little raking to even it out would help. One of my main concerns was the entrance and water erosion. They said they would relocate the drains and did not. They adjusted cost after placing them very close to where they were before. I figured they are the pros they know. It's been rainy and that spot showed trouble pretty much right away. It started washing away. We tried to maintain it but it never stayed right. After a large rain storm. Almost all of what I paid for wash washed away in my neighbors yard and in my lawn. The job was almost 4 weeks old. I was upset. I sent a email explaining what happened. They came out and looked and said it would have to be redone. I agreed but they want me to pay 600$ I was very disappointed. I thought I hired pros I try to do business here in town. They sent emails saying they would not fix at no charge. I refused no one else's stuff washed away and the rest of my yard is still intact. Just what they did was affected. I am stuck with a ruined yard. I have heard nothing since I am not paying to redo bad work and if I did. I would be getting the same stuff that would wash away, so paying for the same thing makes no sense. I have not heard from them with any alternative or solution to this issue. Bottom line they got my money and will not stand behind their work. They claim act of god and have not fixed anything. Currently my sons and a hired handyman are trying to fix it. I hope it works out. My future yard projects will not include landmark landscaping. Had Terry and crew put down sod in front yard and rebuild two retaining walls in back. Price was great , work done on day as promised , cleaned up everything they touched. Work done on retaing walls was incredible, using flagstone I had been using. The difference when they were done was unbelievable. I can't speak highly enough about our experience with Becky at Landmark Landscaping Inc. We reached out in spring and she was able to meet with us within two weeks. After talking with her about our absolute lack of landscaping skills and showing her some things we liked, she then created a design for us which she came back to share with us around two weeks later. When we met she had the project broken down into three parts if we didn't want to do everything at once or if we didn't want to do certain areas, she gave options for different materials to be used at different price points, and was even able to reuse some things that our builder had placed. At that time (in April) she gave us a mid-July date and she was right on time. They planted everything yesterday while we weren't home and then she drove back out last night to go over all of the ins and outs and gave us a cheat sheet for exactly how to care for everything. I can't say enough great things about working with Becky. We moved into our new house in August and have needed A LOT of stuff done and she was hands down the easiest to work with and stayed true to her word! We called Landmark after the Coal City tornado for fill and new lawn. The seed was planted so we thought. Watered continuously and not one blade of grass grew. So we contacted them. They forgot to put seed in the hyrdo seeder. Came back replanted it. It grew in patches. He told us to get fertalizer. And he would drop off a bag of seed. We put on the bag of seed that he dropped off. Now we have a yard full of crab grass that took over our entire yard. And now will not return our calls. read more
