The customer service is horrible from the regional manager on down. Nobody has any type of professionalism to their approach. I've traveled all of the Midwest, and over half of the Southern states. In the 20+ years of renting cars from enterprise i have never experienced such rudeness from any other location as i have from the 2 in Springfield IL.

I was trying to diffuse the situation the whole time and it seemed like she only wanted to escalate it. I will be suggesting to anyone in need of car rental to not visit the Enterprise on Stanford in Springfield IL. They don't seem to want your business anyway.

I understand it was going into the holidays but really? 1/2 hour? Pathetic customer service experience with her and I will NEVER do business with that location. However, this location at Dirksen went way out of their way to make up for our situation and got us what we needed and we were on our way. The car we rented for starters wasn't clean, and started making a noise a few hours after we…read morestarted driving. We stopped and looked under the car and the engine skid pan was falling off. We bought duct tape to try to hold it on until we could get to our hotel and call Budget. It didn't hold for long so we stopped again and looked under the car and noticed the pan had been installed with tie wraps. Very, very unsafe. If it had come off it could have injured any vehicle around us. Called Budget and was told to drive it to OK Airport to trade it for another car. That was 50 miles away so we drove as slowly as we could on the interstate. Budget at OK Airport gave us another car, we transferred everything from one car to another and as we checked the new car over we noticed the front bumper was coming off. One person told us they would get us an upgrade. As we waited for the new car, someone else brought us a car the same size or slightly smaller than our first or second car. Once again we had to unload our car and pack everything in the last car. We were renting the car for 16 days, so we had it packed pretty full. At no time did anyone apologize, or offer to help us move or stuff from car to car. Not to sound whiny but we're in our 70's and it was late afternoon in OKLAHOMA! The rep who told us she would get us an upgrade didn't obviously. She didn't offer a discount, or any compensation for us having a 4 hour delay caused totally by Budget. When I told her I was extremely disappointed in the way everything was handled she said she would give us a $60 discount. She would not have done that if I hadn't complained. My advice -don't just walk around the car looking for damages, look under the car for falling car parts. 15 years as a Budget only person all changed with this one rental.

He handed me the key fob, described my vehicle, and where it was parked at, and just like that, I was in and out and on the road in less than 10 minutes! The next morning I left at 8:15am and drove a little over one thousand miles, arriving home in Florida at approximately 2:30am without any issues. I returned the vehicle to Alamo at Orlando International AirPort later that morning. The employees were friendly and helpful and the process was quick and easy.
