Heather Landon was a GAL assigned to our case. Heather proved herself to be unreliable, dishonest, and biased from the very start of our case. She even sent me an email accusing me of having a mental health disorder, I don't have, and that my children didn't like me because I was a manic trash talker. Which I'm not. However, I did ask the mental health professional about Miss Landons statement just so I could let her know she severely overstepped her area of expertise. She prevented the court from learning that my ex provided me a pillow which was covered in bed bug poison. Which considering her attorney prevented me from removing my ex as the primary beneficiary it would seem that there was some financial incentive being expressed by trying to poison me. THIS ALONE IS A CRIME. Yet, Heather didn't feel it needed to be shared with the court. Heather didn't inform the court of a single behavior that my ex exhibited which was negative of her. Then to top it off the GAL recommended my custody be removed from me despite giving no reason for making the recommendation. Which the Judge did after he prevented me from having my constitutional rights to due process. I've issued subpoenas to Heather inquiring about why she ommitted information from the court which would have had a significant bearing on the case. The court quashed the subpoena to protect Heather Landon even though I'd informed the court that my due process rights had been violated and that Miss Landon omitted information from the court which would have caused a change in recommendations. Additionally the Judge ordered a court ordered report from a 3rd party agency whom uncovered much more information all of which was negative of Mother but yet, somehow Miss Landon missed. Things got even worse after my ex alienated me from my childrens lives. Which was shown in the report from the 3rd party but not mentioned in any way in Heather Landons review. Miss Landon didn't meet with my children and I for a joint session or meeting at any time in her investigation. Nor did she communicate with any of the collaterals I suggested that she reach out to for information in our case. My collaterals were a former child care provider who'd watched the kids for years and a neighbor who lived across the street who also knew us for years and years. Both of which were on my side of the issue and had some strong comments to make related to whom my ex was and how she behaved as she has a reputation. Miss Landon didn't think they would have much to offer apparently which is why they both sent me an email asking me to send it to Heather after months and months of being ignored by Heather. There's no way to explain a complete refusal by someone appointed by the court to do a job as shown by Miss Landons ineffective handling of my case. I would go so far as to suggest that Miss Landon was working with Plaintiff counsel (whom withdrew after being accused of misconduct in a hearing) which suggests that there were corrupt activities occurring and that the GAL was an active participant in the corruption. Miss Landon also recommended an attorney which I retained at one point whom worked with the Plaintiff counsel to my detriment. Miss Landon also shared information with this party which was untrue of our case as a whole. When considering how much she failed to include in her report to the court and what she failed to include in her report to the court. Which suggests that the GAL was not impartial, since there wasn't a single negative comment about my ex. Just like there wasn't a single positive comment about me. Failing to meet with the children and a parent together as part of the investigation into custody is not able to be understood. How could she make recommendations without completing such a crucial part of an investigation into a custody matter? Unless she didn't miss it which is my opinion of this matter. IF you have a choice to select your GAL do not select this one if you love your children and look forward to an ongoing relationship with them. I would also suggest that you use the internet and to thoroughly search for information about any GAL offered along with the name of your attorney, opposing counsel and the GAL and the Judge and the GAL. I bet you'd be pretty surprised at what can be found related to matters of custody in the Johnson County Family Court system. read more

Wanted to update my review on this corrupt attorney. This person was biased and used her i fkuence as a GAL to bias mental health professionals tasked with assisting the minor children in our case. Miss Landon is disgusting for what shes done. Shes a mother herself but acts with maliscious intention to separate parents from their children. This is multi generational child abuse. People like this should be in jail. If shes assigned to your case. Expect there to be corrupt activity occurring. If Paul Burmaster is your Judge. Expect corrupt activity. Mark Jeffers- corrupt activity. My father in law Larry Gordon committed witness tampering. Heather Landon was aware of it. Her reaction...there wasnt one. She knew it but said nothing.
