Decent place in Moose Jaw with friendly staff & average Chinese food. However, prices are pretty good for a buffet.

Yet go back I did but not on my own accord!! I went back only when my family was in town and one member had fond memories of the place so we went for lunch there each time. And each time it was horrid. We had the chinese food buffet and the food was not good. Most of it had a greasy after taste, like the grease was old, and some of it had a tainted taste (some of the meat) and the sweet and sour sauce a "tin" taste, which made me think it could have been from a can?? Even my daughter who loves Chinese food, picked at her plate, ate mainly the white rice after but even then had to stop as she was getting really hard pieces of rice (uncooked?). Not good. I todl my family I won't go back and they agreed as the last time they came ot town we went elsewhere. Halleluja!

Went for a lunch at 12:30 for buffet. Food was not hot in fact it was cold. Talked with the owner…read morewho got very upset when we asked why the food was cold. The table next to us asked the same question. She kept insisting that the bufffet was the proper temp. She got out a themometer and put it in the water under the food and insisting it was 200 degrees. If it was the food shouldn't have been cold. She asked if we wanted our food put in a microwave oven. We declined. She was very ignorant to us so we got up and went to the Landscape restaurant and had a very good HOT meal. I would not recommend this restaurant for fear of food poisoning. Food that is not kept at a regular temp could make you sick.

Buffet was kinda Cdn chinese, lots of deep fried stuff, I prefer to order off the menu usually. Service was quick and friendly.

If you're looking for a great Chinese food in Regina, venture into the east end for an authentic…read moreexperience. The decor might not be much, but it's my solid go-to for good, home cooked Cantonese food. Just a tip, order from the Chinese menu. What is it you might ask? The menu for Asian people who know what they're ordering. Yes I know it sounds horrible, but they have a standard "Western" menu chock full of "chinese" dishes known in North America. And I say that in air quotes cause most of that stuff were invented here and actually has little to no relation to actual Chinese cuisine. It just makes life easier that way. Ginger beef, sweet and sour pork.. Yeah the good deep fried stuff covered in syrupy alien sauce as we know it. That stuff is also delicious, but if you're trying to save on the calories and eat the good stuff, then you need to order from the Chinese menu. For example, when I make ginger beef at home, it is beef and broccoli with a gingery soy sauce sauteed, not deep fried. Without the disgusting amount of cornstarch and msg in it. So on to the food review. So far I've had the yang chow fried rice, sweet and sour pork, tofu with minced meat hotpot, oyster and onion hotpot, salted fish fried rice and the bbq duck. All fantastic. All reasonably priced for the portions you're getting. You're definitely getting at least 2.5 meals per person for a family of 4. Well in our house, it's more like 1.5 meals for a family of 2, only cause I like it that much and can't stop eating it. This place is comparable to any reputable small eatery in Richmond, Vancouver and I don't give that compliment lightly. If you're not feeling too adventurous, definitely start with the yang chow fried rice. They make it with baby shrimp, scrambled eggs and diced Chinese sausage...the sausage alone is reason to order it. The most important thing is you can taste the "wok hei" in the fried rice. That's the flavour imparted by a searingly hot wok to the rice. If description of this foodie term doesn't mean much to you, then all you need to know is the chef knows his shit and can work that wok. And therefore anything you order from that wok is gonna be goddamn delicious. The other thing of worthy note is the bbq duck. It has the right amount of sauce to fat to meat ratio, it blew my mind. I highly regret getting only the half order but hey, Chinese New Year is fast coming up and I'll be having it again. Note that the hotpot stuff might be a little to foreign to most in Regina, so maybe save that for when you're feeling adventurous. Hotpots can take on a jello-like consistency and look, so it doesn't look that appetizing but when you're in the mood, it can be healthy comfort food. Try it on a takeout night!
