Let's start with the general manager telling me I called him a liar... The FACTS for the Seneca location: 3/30/26: called and spoke with someone about getting my Toro 30 inch Timemaster for an annual service. The person stated they could get it pretty quick since is was just a basic service, especially the mower was brand new this past July. 4/02/26: Brought the Toro around 2pm for the service. Asked again about the length of repair and again, it was shared that it should be a few days for the basic (oil, gas, sharpen blades, etc) service. Agreed that it should be completed by mid next week. 4/09/26. Called and talked with someone on their counter and they said they didn't see it ready, but would check on it and let me know asap. 4/11/26: after not reaching anyone about my mower, I drove to their business and was actually trying to find my mower. A person (this was who told me later that he was the General Manager) looked for it, couldn't find it and decided to check the system. He said my mower was dropped off on 4/9 - just two days ago - and it will take anywhere from 10-14 days to repair it. I stated it was dropped off on 4/2, not 4/9..which the GM argued with me on the facts. Given that, decided to just take my mower elsewhere. after the GM helped me load the mower in my truck, it was then the GM told me that he was upset with me calling him a liar. Not surprised to see the reviews. I have been buying at Landscaper's supply for 20 years, and have given them leeway to run their business how they like, though frequently coming out feeling insulted. Three experiences... 1) Asked about buying a "half scoop" of mulch because I have a small truck, and that fills it. Noticed I was rung up for 1.6 cu yd (without warning) and was told it's because they "cannot measure exactly". So, apparently they're sure they always go a little over, I guess. Eventually, I decided they can charge what they like, and the 20-something just wasn't courteous enough to explain in advance, or in a better way. Shoot, they can charge $1 for a scoop and $0.99 for a half if they like, right? 2) Was quoted $35 for 4 hrs with a tiller (I think. it was a tiller), and when I returned, I was charged $75. I pointed at the 20-something who had given me the quote and explained that she had quoted $35. The new 20-something, basically said, "well, she was wrong. Too bad." 3) Today, asked for a 1/2 scoop of compost (quoted $65/scoop). Charged $48, without explanation. I declined because apparently the policy is to charge 7/10 of a scoop for 1/2 scoop. So, the issue in #1 above has worsened. They used to charge 1.6 for 1.5 cu yd. Now they charge 2.1 for 1.5 cu yd. I usually root loudly for local businesses, but this one seems to consider it a privilege for you to shop there. read more

There is so much to recommend about this store. Products are great and the people are very friendly. I've been coming for years. Unfortunately I don't think I will be returning. I bought an expensive power tool there. A week went by and I had not opened the box. I decided to return it. I was told that this location does not accept returns for any power tools. I looked around. No signs anywhere to that effect. I explained that nobody had told me that at the time of purchase. "It's on the receipt" was the response I got. Great - so AFTER you buy a power tool, you get a receipt stating that your purchase is final. Buyer beware. read more

Tried to buy propane here for 5 grill tanks. Close to 100 gallons. Some tanks are partially filled. The store has a flat rate per tank, rather than buying by the gallon. So this screws me. I'd be throwing away money. Off to tractor supply where I can buy by the gallon. read more

Horrible policy for returns....we bought a herbicide and surfactant that we used per their instructions....it didn't touch the weeds, in fact they multiplied. The salesman explained that EPA wouldn't allow for returns and that is understandable but we asked for a credit towards a $300 herbicide and he would give not even a $1 credit towards that purchase! Then he used rain as the excuse for it not working and I promise you we had no rain after we put out the herbicide for 2 wks after. What a rip off for a company that espouses such character. We are disappointed because we purchased zero turn lawn equipment Scag Power mower there and when my husband returned to make an appointment for service and maintenance they were rude, refused to make timely and reasonable schedule for the service . When we get it done , we get it done " they rudely and unprofessionally stated. They also stated that they'll return the equipment after service 10-14 days and when my husband asked : "what I suppose to do for a lawn care at such a long time without scag " , they simply said: this is not our problem. If you are reading a positive review on here, it is being posted by the owner or manager of this company. I cannot imagine a genuine customer giving anything but a poor review. These people are lazy, dishonest, unethical and have no interest in customer service. Their attitude is that a customer is an interruption of their day and does not deserve the energy to be helped. Prices change based on who you ask, time of day, day of the week, etc. There are other landscape supply companies that want to earn your business. Seek them out and spend your money with them. Invoice showed mower had been pressure washed and blade had been sharpened. Neither one had been done. I'm sure that was included in the 3/4 hr charged at $98/hr. Will look for someone else to do my small engine repairs next time. If the services were not done, they should not be listed on the invoice and charged for the services read more

If you own Toro, Stihl, Echo or any other quality lawn equipment, this is the place to go for service or parts. If you don't, this is the place to go to upgrade your equipment. I dare any guy to walk into this place for five minutes. Every time I go here, it's like my wife walking into a shoe store. Send in the rescue squad, I'll be at least an hour. Not only do they have every toy imaginable, but they know their stuff. High quality fertilizers and lawn chemicals, mulch and stone. Excellent service, they come and pick up my mower, only charge $50 round trip. Even rent equipment, charge $35 round trip for that. I don't have a truck, so I need that extra service. Incompetent liars. My wife went to get two of our 20lb tanks filled. Apparently they couldn't be bothered the time. They told her that the exchange was just the same as a fill. Which it's not, costs more, and they give you roughly 1/3 less propane, ie: you give them 20lb tanks to refill to 20lbs, but instead they just give you crappy 15lb tanks. I called a whilie back, and was told that it would be taken care of. So I later stopped down, and the guy just says "well that's the industry standard" and I asked why they refused to fill the tanks rather than exchange them, and the manager Trevor, just walks away to go hide in his office. Rude, rip off, liars. If you like these traits, along side the fact that everything in this store is overpriced, then sure, go ahead and shop here. They also try to take your information, and store them on unsecured systems, where the information is neither salted nor hashed. If you like having your identity stolen, give them that information as well. Anything in this store can be found at any other given hardware store and/or feed and seed. I'll shop somewhere that they don't treat you like garbage. read more
