I had a very nice young lady helping me, but it went wrong when I went to try on some leggings. Another associate took it upon herself to take over. She told me how brave I was for coming into the store. She shared her experience of losing a lot of weight and showed me her belly, basically trying to make me feel comfortable about my imperfections. A comment or two I could have brushed off, but I felt that the conversation about body size just continued. I had walked in just looking for a good pair of leggings not at all feeling out of place. Just because a woman wears a Large and may not fit the fitness industry's standards of an ideal body does not mean that I am not healthy or active. The associate thought she was being helpful but made it very awkward. Please just stick to answering the questions of your patrons.

She is so rude, I went in asking for a price adjustment ( my first time ever asking) on a sale cashmere scarf I purchased at another Talbots 3 days ago. She told me that her cashmere is not on sale and she will never give a price adjustment. I had the scarf with the tags still on it and it had the sale price handwritten but she refused to correct the issue. So, I returned the scarf to her store at $135, called customer service when I got home and ended up getting the cashmere scarf basically free ($60 w/ free shopping since I am Premier Card Holder)

While shopping we were not acknowledged, not helped, and treated as an inconvenience by one sales associate. They truly made me feel marginalized and inferior. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to Talbots again. While I understand it is a higher end clothing retail store, it's certainly not worth a penny of my hard-earned money.
