I used this company about 7 years ago to build bookshelves and a work area in my study. The original countertop was painted wood and I have been wanting a more durable countertop in its spot. I had initial difficulty reaching them by phone but once we connected they were very responsive and had an amazingly quick turnaround (approximately 2 weeks). The installers were extremely careful when disassembling and moving around shelving so as not to cause damage in my home. They helped empty my abundant library so work could proceed. They meticulously touched up any marks from normal wear and tear and adjusted the doors for me. Their attention to detail was amazing. I would not hesitate to use them again for future projects in my home. Our office is truly one of my favorite spots in our home.

STAY AWAY! This…read morebusiness promised quality work but the finished product was anything but quality. In what was supposed to be an easy project with a simple banister, Bret's Carpentry made things far more difficult. Two different pieces of wood were fused together with a very apparent seam. In addition, the stain used did not match because the wood was not from the same lot. Lastly the ends were not cut off as to the correct fit for our stairway. When the installer showed us what the product would look like, dissatisfaction was stated. We were told by the business owner via voicemail that they did the best they could and that maybe we should find someone else to finish the job. To clarify- the business has our money and the banister was never installed or cut to the proper size to fit. After several phone calls attempts, the company is completely unresponsive. They still have the incomplete and unacceptable banister. We now have nothing and are out hundreds of dollars. BEWARE!

We had a leaking pipe and contacted Mr. Handyman for a fix. The appointment was weeks away but…read moresince we have another shower we were able to wait. We were put on the cancellation list and got a call much sooner than we expected. Chris showed up, in uniform and in a marked vehicle. I was texted and emailed a photo of him before he showed up - so that I would know who I was letting into my house. I was told that they also do a background check. He fixed the leaking pipe, repaired the ceiling that needed a hole cut and installed two bathroom vent fans. He did great work, was friendly and cleaned up completely before he left.
