The quality of care is amazing. I recently had an appointment for an implant. Dr lane was professional from start to finish. They got me in the same day and worked with me and my anxiety. The dentist is never a Great place but with Dr Greg lane the experience was 5 stars. I waited a couple months after my implant healed to get the crown and now I have my tooth back. We always have a great experience at this office! Dr. Lane and his staff are so sweet. They will even make you laugh while you are sitting in the chair with your mouth wide open, trying not to make a fool of yourself. My 6 year old son just had a cleaning this week. His cleaning and exam was only 20 minutes long. It was a quick visit and we were out the door. The hygienist is so friendly and nice. My son was calm and she was very gentle on his teeth and gums which makes the dentist visit very smooth. Everytime I go to this office, we leave happy and well taken care of. Dr. Lane will make sure you are his top priority and that every question you have be answered. He is very knowledgeable in his trade and detail oriented. My insurance pays for deep cleaning once year. I told them specifically I want to schedule for deep cleaning. they siad yes, on appt day front receptionist said this visit for eval, we wont do deep cleaning until we eval. This is to double bill. I cancelled it and walked out. called next place, they scheduled with ease for deep cleaning. Avoid such places, look for things that are upfront and easy for you. read more

Just left this practice after 7 years. We were on vacation and my son got sick. His mouth and throat hurt and he had some swelling around his tooth. Called the dentist to see if the swelling around the tooth could be the issue. Literally only a couple minutes long phone call. (Long story short we took him to an immediate care and it was strep) About 1.5 months later I received a hand written bill in pen for $60 with no explanation on it(no bill codes or procedures on it). It didn't even say what I was being charged for. I called Lane dental and found out it was for this phone call and phone pictures of the tooth that they requested. I spoke to the receptionist and asked since this was rare occurrence (we were on vacation, still had to take him to immediate care) and we didn't know it would incur a $60 fee, if there any way to help us with this bill. She said she would ask Dr. Lane Jr and get back to me. She got back to me later that day and she told me there was nothing he could do. So I asked for the dental codes that we were being charged for so I could reach out to insurance and see why this bill wasn't covered. After few calls I found out it was for a limited exam(emergency exam)and televist. Insurance told me that we our covered for 1 limited exam per year but no televisit. So it should have been partially covered. Insurance said we should only owe $30 for the televisit only. However insurance told us that, this limited exam was accidentally billed to my insurance on my sons last cleaning visit, by mistake. I called multiple times to work out this bill with Dr. Lane Jr. finally spoke to him on the phone after 3rd attempt. I agreed to pay $30 for the televist, per insurance stating that's all I should be liable for. He told me that his records don't reflect that and that the insurance company was lying to me. He said if you call the insurance company again they will give you a different answer. I asked him if his office could contact the insurance and see why there is conflicting information. He told me that he doesn't need to, based off his records. I said don't you care about your patients? He said I took this call didn't I! We kinda went back and forth and basically, I told him this might be a deal breaker for me and is it really worth losing 3 patients? He told me I wish you the best of luck! So we're finding a better dentist, should be real easy. read more

The staff always puts me at ease and takes such great care of me (and my husband). I had terrible pain about a week ago that ended up being an emergency root canal...I was not happy to hear that! My husband went in needing a large amount of work - got a quote and when I reviewed the quote I questioned most of it as we were part of a plan with fixed pricing. We called them for an explanation of the quote. They stated the inflated price included some sort of fee - which is not in accordance with our dental plan - aka the contract between the dental practice and the provider. After we called our dental plan to get what the estimate should be - we went back in to get a new estimate and they stated the extra fees were for something else entirely, and the dentist was out explaining to my husband why the fees were what they were. The Dentist should not be involved with the billing discussion at all with the patient - that's what the billing department is for. We aren't in there to barter for a car or something - the insurance plan is very cut and dry. We went elsewhere and my husband got all the work done in accordance with our dental plan, which came out to half of what this place tried to charge us. Advice? Make sure you know your dental plan and get an estimate before you get any major dental work done here. Personally, I felt this was very unethical of the dentist as he was the one personally directing the billing person in this instance. Perhaps if you aren't making enough profit being part of the insurance plan on...maybe don't be a member of that insurance group's contract anymore. Most people don't understand insurance contracts or how they work. But that's what I do for a living -- so if this gives anyone any sort of "heads up" then my review did exactly what it was intended to do. The dentist is there to take care of your teeth - not handle the billing like a used car salesman. They also charged the first cleaning visits to our insurance under the wrong dentist which both were denied (Dr Lane Sr is not part of the plan) and we had to take the time to fix that as well. *i should clarify, the dentist was Lane Jr. EDIT for the response: Again, we had a DMO. We pay what the DMO states we pay for what we needed done. You have a contracted rate with them for what you can charge. Here's what it comes down to: "Dentists can't afford to reduce their fees by 50% or more and stay in business. Despite any noble intent, many find they could not stay in business if they actually charged the plan fees. They would literally lose money. So, dentists who sign on with DMOs learn to "work the system." They learn to add on fees that are "not covered" by the DMO plan. They "unbundle" procedures and itemize "extras" that aren't really "extras". In a normal dental office, these "extras" are included as part of the procedure or service. That's because they aren't really "extras." By the time the DMO plan-recommended dentist is done adding on the "extra, non-insured" charges, the final fee is often MORE than it would be at a private dentist." This is what happened with your estimate. It was all the extra add on fees that caused the issue in the first place. read more

I've never had such a great experience at a dentist. I feel like you always walk into the dentist office and the hygienist does your cleaning right away and then the doctor flies in, swipes a mirror around your mouth for 20 seconds, says "yep looks good!" and runs out. This was not like that. The hygienist (I wish I could remember her name!!!) was an ANGEL and took the time at the beginning of the appointment to sit down and talk through my concerns with me and completely put me at ease. She was friendly and explained everything she was doing as she was doing it. I really cannot sing her praises enough. She helped me so much. I had the son as my dentist and he was just as great. Sat down and talked with me at the end of the appointment and just made suggestions and explained different things to me. Honestly I can't wait to go back every 6 months. Thank you!! read more

I'm a first time patient. Made my appointment about a week or so in advance. I wrote the date on my calander and even got a confirmation text message reaffirming my appointment date and time. I get off work early, get a babysitter and drive 40 min to my appointment only to find that the staff made the decision to cancel my appointment without telling me. They then stated they tried calling me to suggest an earlier appointment. At no point in my voice mail did she state that my 2:15pm appointment was not a good time or that I would need to reschedule. Just asked if I would like to come in earlier because there have been some openings. Yet she made the decision that because I simply didn't get back to her to go ahead and cancel without my knowledge. Just hoping I didn't show up..or..? The office is supposed to be open until 4pm on Fridays and I made the appointment to a date and time THEY suggested and I worked my schedule around to accommodate that. I find it not only rude but unprofessional to handle any appointments this way. Let alone a new patient. I was then offered to get my cleaning portion done and to come back for the xray and full exam at another time, since I was already there, but the dentist was not. So I did. It wasn't until after the fact was I told I would now owe not 1 but 2 copayments for what should have been 1 appointment. Again, only due to their suggestion that making 2 appointments would be easier. I guess I assumed they would attempt to make up for THEIR mistake and simply wave the 2nd copayment since it shouldn't have even been an issue to begin with. Now I have to plan getting another babysitter, drive another 40 min there and back, and I'm being told to pay again. Absolutely ludacris. read more

The experience was so seamless, customized, and simple. Everyone explained everything very well and in full detail. She represents this office well. I can't even express how much I appreciate and love Lane Dental! I generally go to the dentist about 4 times a year due to cracking crowns on my front teeth that I got when I was 9 years old and was always paranoid of new dentists or hygienists even going near them. When I met my now husband he recommended I go to Dr. Lane as he is the only dentist he's ever been to and boy am I so glad I did! Everyone that works there is great (we had some exceptions with hygienists that we didn't care for but are no longer there) and now that Dr. Lane's son works there I feel like I will never go without great care for my teeth. Finally Dr. Lane replaced those awful front crowns a couple weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! They look great, feel great and I knew I was in good hands! I really don't understand any of these negative reviews, but to each their own I guess. All I can say is that if you truly want dentists that care about the patients, are kind, intelligent, thoughtful, funny and will work with you through anything, see either Dr. Lane! read more
