So I quit services with them in order (they told me this was the only way I'd get a copy of my personal health records with them) to receive my diagnosis for disability and I received my final medical bill from them at that time (totaling the cost of treatment). Then they later increased the lein amount when they found out how much I was receiving. It's a medical scam and should be illegal what they're doing to people.

His work was impeccable, he had a great idea from my MRI as to what exactly would need to be done before I went under the knife. Post-surgery, he prescribed a timely (four month) rehab of the injury by fielding questions in follow up visits. He was extremely friendly, wise, experienced and professional the entire way. In four months, I am now ready to get back to competition. I will highly recommend Dr. Key to friends & family in the future.

I had a knee replacement done by Dr. Key in September 2004. About six weeks after, my knee showed…read moresigns of infection. He did not treat that infection as anything more than a Surface wound. It went away however for year and a half afterwards my condition gradually became worse and worse to where I could not walk. I continued to go back to Dr. Key and ask him to look again at my knee because it hurt so badly and he dismissed it saying that it was my back that was bad not my knee. I went to the back doctor but not before I got an x-ray of my knee from my general practitioner to bring with me. after one look at my back the doctor said that it wasn't my back it was my knee and when he looked at the x-rays he said that my knee wasn't even attached. I ask him why Dr. Keyes Would not have known that and he said to me "he would've Known if he had seen your x-rays". I stopped and thought about it and realized that in a year and a half after my surgery not one x-ray was ever done by Dr. Key to look at my knee. There are more horror stories out there that I've heard since my own but putting that aside they'll have to write their own comments I just know that that lead me down the road to what I have now in my knee which is only a hinge and permanent disability on top of that. so if you think about going to this doctor don't, stop and run the other way fast while you still have a leg to stand on!

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from KC Vascular and General Surgery. My…read moreprimary care physician had noticed a substantial bulge in my groin area during a checkup and confirmed it was a hernia. He recommended I contact Kansas Vascular and General Surgery to schedule an operation to address the hernia. On my first visit to KC Vascular the Dr. I was referred to felt the same bulge and said oh yeah that is a hernia let's schedule you for surgery and turned me over to his admin team to schedule the surgery which I did. Several weeks later I received an invoice for that visit in the amount of $70.00. I immediately contacted the billing office to ask why I was being charged $70.00 to simply tell me I had a hernia when my Dr. had already told me I had a hernia and just needed to schedule surgery. The agreed that seemed odd they would charge me for that and indicated she put a note in to the local office to call me to review the charges and contact me if valid. The next call I received was from MediCredit. They not only did not respond to my inquiry on the bill they just sent me right to collections which now impacts your credit. If your Dr tells you that you have a hernia, do not schedule an appointment for the surgeon to simply confirm it as they will charge you for that. As if healthcare and insurance for healthcare and the surgury itself aren't enough of an expense already, now I am being harassed by collections to pay another $70.00 to simply confirm what my Dr sent me in there for. As opposed to discussing the charges with me and validating them, KC Vascular just sent me right to collections. I do not think that is an appropriate way to treat a patient and do not recommend seing them as a result of my experience ttying to discuss a charge, only to be sent immediately to collections impacting my credit. I think this is a terrible way to treat a customer/patient.

I am writing this review for the person who just sustained an injury, and have no idea which way to…read morego, or what to do. There is probably nothing worst than to be extremely healthy & mobile at 7:29am, to then be the complete opposite with one wrong move at 7:30am. Having that thing that is the most therapeutic, taken away, and kept away for a period of time that you have no idea for how long...might be up there with being forced fed the vegetables you hate more than anything, as a kid. So I sustained a hamstring injury while working out. The minute it happened I got that rush of "oh no" that increased my body temperature, while removing color from my face. Right at that moment you have that large question mark on your brain that has you as clueless as following Google/Apple maps when it keeps rerouting you to the exact same spot, to then reroute you again. So what do we do, we visit Dr Google. We get a timeline of 4-6 weeks, all the way to possible surgery depending on the damage, sighhhhh. So I decide this time I am not going to self diagnose, I am going to find a professional who has seen this same injury thousands of times. I search in the area and V6 shows up. V6 made me think of a car, which is movement...and damnit, I want to be able to move again, so V6 it is!!! I look at the website and like what I see. So I call, no answer...and I did not leave a voicemail because I am moving on to the next company because I need to be seen right now. No more than 10 minutes past, my phone rings and it is V6. I speak to the doctor and let him know we have a four alarm fire and I need to come in ASAP!!! Dr Gearheart speaks in a very calm & relaxing tone, then proceeds to start asking questions to try and understand the scenario. After a brief discussion, he lets me know his soonest appointment and I am booked. Show up to the office maybe 7 minutes early, and through the glass I can see his office...which is a good thing for me. I do not like closed in offices because I feel like only bad news is told in those. We talked for a bit going over the scenario again but with more detail and demonstration from myself, to give him a much better idea of what happened. During the conversation I noticed he paid attention to my level of understanding of the human body and matched it. He did not "doctor talk" me(big words, quick speaking, and rushing to get to the next client), or talk to me like I didn't know the difference between a finger and a toe. Before he started the physical part of the evaluation that requires him to move and test the injured area, he sits down and asks a question I have never been asked by any medical professional. I was asked, "where are you mentally/emotionally right now, and what can I do to help you leave here today feeling better." That question let me know I was in the right place, and gave me full confidence that I will get back to my norm in a timely manner.

I had a very distressing follow-up appointment with Dr. Noland after a five-day hospitalization. I…read morecame in needing help with medication refills, leave paperwork, and follow-up imaging for an adrenal nodule found on my hospital CT. I tried to explain that my concern was the fragmentation of my care and the difficulty of coordinating issues involving several providers. During the discussion, I felt repeatedly interrupted and spoken to in a defensive and condescending manner. One disagreement involved my leave paperwork. Dr. Noland stated that another provider had already completed my FMLA paperwork and said the documentation had been written by GI. He then pulled up a document in my chart. I clarified that it was a regular hospital work note, not the Hartford FMLA paperwork I was requesting, and that it had been written by a hospitalist rather than GI. In response, he emphasized that he had been doing his job for a long time and knew the difference. When I attempted to continue clarifying the situation, he told me to stop interrupting him. I then stopped speaking and shook my head while listening because I disagreed with what was being said. He responded, "You can shake your head all you want." I felt placed in a situation where both verbally correcting inaccurate information and silently expressing disagreement were treated as disrespectful. The interaction felt hostile and intimidating rather than collaborative. He also repeatedly focused on my previous request for possible future leave, while I was attempting to explain that my current request concerned an actual five-day hospitalization. When I asked how unpredictable intermittent leave might be estimated for a condition such as migraines, he initially said the comparison was irrelevant, then explained that leave would be based on a documented pattern. When I asked about medication refills, he shook his head and said in a tone I perceived as sarcastic, "Oh, I suppose they told you to follow up with me for that too." They had, and being repeatedly redirected between providers was the exact concern I was attempting to explain. He later repeatedly told me that the situation was not my fault and said he would complete the paperwork and submit the refills. I was also concerned by how the appointment ended. At the beginning of the visit, Dr. Noland discussed the adrenal nodule and indicated that an MRI might be the better imaging option. After the conversation became increasingly tense, he left the room without personally completing that discussion. His nurse later returned and told me that a CT had been ordered instead. When I asked about the earlier MRI discussion, she had to leave and clarify the plan with him. She returned and said that he wanted to begin with a CT and go from there. He did not return to explain the change directly. Although my paperwork was ultimately completed, my refills were submitted, and imaging was ordered, I left feeling unheard and intimidated. I immediately requested to transfer to another primary care provider. This was the most upsetting healthcare encounter I have experienced.

I was impressed by him and went I needed a Kansas primary care doctor was happy to see he is doing family practice. Only problem I've had is he's also a doctor for the Royals and getting an appointment in season can be tough. He's carrying and understands how much I hate needles so only wants blood when it's absolutely necessary. For me with my medical problems, it works out his area is sports medicine. Got me into the right specialist when I needed one.
