Every Tuesday and Friday morning there is a local farmers market in the village's town center…read more(Marktplatz). It isn't large, but neither is the village with a population of 44,000. There are 6 booths of fresh vegetables, fruits, and nuts. 2 booths of cheese, meats, antipastas. Other vendors and shops are set up selling tapestries, watches, clothes, toys, and what-nots. The prices are cheap, cheaper than the Commissary or local German grocery stores because it cuts out the cost of transporting the foods. Plus you are helping out the locals and promoting a healthier lifestyle.
