my first time coming here was about 3 years ago, at first I didn't like the drink I ordered and tried again the next day but I was sadly disappointed again and haven't stopped by since but while out with some people a couple days ago we decided to give this place another shot and was blown away. a lot of things were different but good changes. the decor has always stood out and they've added cute barriers around some of the tables for a more secluded experience. I am a huge music person, so coming into a dreamy cafe with lofi music while waiting for our order was also another win. I overall enjoyed the vibe in here, it might not be for everybody but it definitely is for me! the cups were a huge hit. if I remember correctly they used to have shorter cups with pink wings, they were okay but these new cups had our whole group talking about them even after we've left. it genuinely had us debating on keeping them! the lids had cute bear ears and the cups were taller and slimmer which gave it such a new feel, we've never seen cups like this so we were very excited. such a small detail made a huge impact on our experience. the service was nice and fast! the nice man who took our order was quick and just overall a cool guy. he was alone which I don't really like but thankfully it wasn't too busy for him and there wasn't a queue. the wait time for 3 drinks was only about 5-6 minutes maybe even less without a queue. everyone especially ME absolutely LOVED our drinks. I saw a review saying the brown sugar boba drink was bland and personally I just think it was probably their first time ever trying it. bland is the milk tea cans you get at a gas station, this drink is TOO good to be sold there & it's hard to mess up a brown sugar drink, especially if it's your go-to order at any boba place. For the other drinks in the photo it was still an epic win! it was their first time coming here and they've said it might be the best drink place on the island and we've lived here for a couple years and explored many places so this says a lot. Overall, this place went from a 4/10 to a 10/10 and we love it and will for sure be back! read more

Found this place off of YouTube. I was highly excited to try their boba. When you walk in, the decoration inside is super cute. The fake cherry blossom tree and the angel wings are definitely social lures. We came here on a weekday evening. It was very busy! There was only one cashier and he was the one who puts the order together as well. We took pictures and I did a video as we waited. It was a very long wait. I think we were 3rd in line after a couple, and the 2nd was a couple with 3 children. After waiting for over 10 mins, we decided to sit down. We noticed there were 2 other groups already seated and waiting before our line started. Mid wait, another 2 groups came in. The cashier attended to them and continued to fill orders. He did great for the amount of people he had to serve. We ordered the brown sugar tea with boba. It was very bland! Such a cute lil boba shop! Located mauka side of the same complex at KTA Kailua Kona. Service was so friendly! Seemed like only two workers but they were both so helpful and quick to make our drinks. We tried the taro rice yogurt (comes in one large size only) and the brown sugar milk tea (medium) with boba. Both were good! I enjoyed the flavor of the brown sugar milk tea and the taro one was yummy as well. Brown sugar milk tea had a tea taste, and wasn't just sweet milk, like many cafes. The boba was on the chewier side, but the flavor was good. I didn't change the sweetness level, but I did get less ice which was perfect. If I were to order again, I'd get it 50% sweet. Good to know there's some decent boba places in Kona. Definitely worth stopping by if you're craving a sweet bevy or a pick me up! read more

Had the blueberry rice drink here, it was very nice and unexpected! There are little pieces of blended rice in the drink that make for a very textural experience. 10/10 Pineapple passion fruit with lychee and boba. Has real fruit in it. Lychee and boba texture are perfection! Not too hard, but soft as well. 10/10 matcha cheese foam with boba. It usually comes with beans but I switched it out. The flavors together are so yummy! I got mine at 50% sweetness. The service was great - very helpful and patient with our questions. The vibe is chill, AC, clean, love the pink cherry blossom tree decor and angel wings on the wall :):). Side note- there's a faint smell that we think might be coming from the nail salon chemicals next door. Maybe they share vents? Not a big deal, just something we noticed. Small, cute boba shop on the Kona side of the island. The decor is charming and so pretty with cherry blossom flowers everywhere! The staff is friendly, helpful, and quick as well. They have so many drink options ranging from fruit teas to milk teas to yogurt drinks with purple rice. My partner and I tried out their yogurt drinks with purple rice since we've never seen them at any other boba shops on the island. On our first visit, I got the mango purple rice yogurt drink and my partner chose the azuki purple rice yogurt drink. For our second visit, we tried out the strawberry purple rice yogurt drink and the blueberry purple rice yogurt drink. The purple rice was perfectly chewy and slightly sweet on both visits. A fun change instead of the usual boba pearls. The yogurt drinks were creamy, sweet, and hand a nice tang from the yogurt. Mango and strawberry were our favorites. Lani Tea House is by far the best boba shop on the Kona side! The rice yogurt drinks are amazing. We look forward to trying their fruit teas and milk teas in the future. read more

My partner and I had some extra time to spend together so we went to get drinks! He got the Oreo Cheese Milk Tea and said it tasted mostly of weak milk tea and not so much Oreo. I don't think he would get it again. I got the Peach Rainbow Tea and it was so good! It was a little sweet for me but other than that it was enjoyable. For some reason it reminds me of a non-carbonated ginger ale. I love to keep the cup since it's pretty sturdy.. it's like a souvenir haha. They were playing Christmas music but it wasn't overwhelming at all. I really appreciated that. :) The cashier was nice and our drinks came out quickly. It's a cute spot. It was unclear whether their milk tea was made with dairy ( I asked lol and the worker wasn't sure). So I got the Four Seasons Tea with boba, half ice regular sweet. Boba texture was perfect for me, soft and chewy. Sweetness was just a actually perfect for me. Tea flavor was present. I also got the Rainbow Strawberry Tea with half ice. Definitely recommend going for 75%- 50% sweet. Classic Milk Tea is the best!! Friendly and very helpful workers. We recently moved from Oahu and have tried many bubble tea/smoothies. It was our first time visiting and a bit hesitant with our picky toddler and husband. Our toddler loved the very berry drink that was recommended by one of the baristas, thank you!!
