The weather of course was wonderful and we spent our time between lazy days in the villa and seeing the rest of the Island. My hubby really enjoyed the villa's pool so private! The owners are lovely people and are very helpful. Ican't recommend Casa Calma enough.

You can see Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura. Playa Papagayo was just a short drive away and that's where we went every day, amenities of Playa Blanca and Marina Rubicon (supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, banks, etc) is 5 min drive away. Silvana and Stefano were very hospitable and when we come back to Lanzarote we will definitely return to Casa Rural Los Ajaches!

The beer was expensive and came in the very small European style beer glasses but it was wonderfully cold and after a long day with delayed flights and a lot of aggravation it was bliss. Looking around I noticed most people wearing coloured wristbands so I suspect it's an all-inclusive hotel and therefore the price of beer won't enter the equation for hotel guests. The hotel is on the outskirts of Playa Blanca and a bit too far away for comfort if you were walking into town every day but I should imagine a hotel of this size will have some sort of transport organised for guests. I wouldn't come here for a holiday though as its location isn't that good in comparison with many other hotels in Playa Blanca.
