Laparkan in Union, New Jersey operates on a who you know customer service. What do I mean by this? I packed a commercial bin at the facility and when I was finished I was told" your box will be wrapped tomorrow." I asked why. The staff who assisted a customer by lifting the customer's goods from their car to the in the inside of the building, he also assisted in applying tape to the detergent and bottles of liquid to prevent spillage. The same staff asked if I was finished because they are closing. Even though a customer arrived after I was finished packing. Meanwhile, I paid and I was finished with the process. He noted he can't wrap the box today because it is after 5:30 p.m. and he has a lot of work to do. The man was irritated because I questioned him. I don't know what cowboy show they are running but if I am paying I expect service. Baffled, I left the building. received a call from the agent who I paid the transaction stating I left garbage at the facility and I will be fined. Untrue, base on ordinance the business is responsible for maintaining their property. They removed the dumpster and you have to take your package/ wrapping. Savings for Laparkan. I returned and I witnessed the box of the customer who came after me box was taped. The time it took for the staff to lift the goods, apply tape and tape the box he could have wrapped my box. My box was unwrapped and I wanted to ask for a refund but I wasn't sure if the commercial bin could fit in my vehicle. I called and asked the agent who took my payment if they have a friend- customer service policy ( service is rendered to who you are and who you know, payment doesn't mean anything), and she replied she was new. Very unprofessional and dishonest! Do not Use! Laparkan in Irvington NJ has the worst customer service and the unreliability is extremely high. Send a package by air (takes one week) and it has not left the US to date. I Specifically call and inquire about the package reaching on time and i also verified with the Rep at the Irvington NJ office before sending. The receiver went to pick up the package and then was informed the package never left the USA. This is unacceptable! It was a PAID service! Called customer service and the first rep hanged up on me. Second rep was ok but could not reach the manager. I never received a phone call and the package will leave after the due it is needed. read more

Sadly being in NJ there are not too many shipping options to the Caribbean and this company knows it; I agree with the other review they don't tell the truth or one hand does not know what the other hand is doing and yet they charge the same prices for poor service! If you must use them just tell your party to track it from their end and save yourself the stress but it is a sad situation. Maybe now that they moved to union maybe that will bring space and a Lil more organization to their madness.....only time will tell. read more

Used this company many times, over the years I've called to find about details of transit times by air, ocean. Days ago I shipped with larparkan, prior to going there I called ahead for shipping times and duration and price etc. I was given specific info for destination and prices. Went to location and asked same questions and was given same info, now that I used the service and checked the status. To find out the shipment wont leave for 2 weeks and will take another 3 weeks to get to destination. They tell you one thing when you call in and once you use their service there are NO compensations for their delays and lies. They do this because they know that people will always send stuff to their loved ones and the take advantage of this. Being the service is used primarily by Caribbean's no one complains - so nothing changes. read more
