These guys said just bring it in and we will see what we can do. Awesome! They managed to fix the computer for a low price (I won't quote the price because I don't want to mislead anyone - everyone's computer has a different level of brokenness). And where something could not be fixed, they explained what was wrong and advised a new solution. Careful with pick up and drop off, as between 3-5:30pm its a clearway and you can't park out the front. The nearest cross street is not too far, but if you can't carry your hard drive for more than a minute while walking then don't attempt this. There is a carspace at the back of the shop but it is hard to determine which one it is from the back lane. So pretty much, park opposite or go earlier.

Chris and his business partner who met whilst studying computer science in Uni have operated from this Newtown store for 10 years. I was so stoked that Chris shared his story with me, that is totally inspiring. They offer in shop repairs or they have a mobile service too where they come to you. Ok, so I didn't ask that, and I still don't know where the name Cup computers came from. But I did ask about buying a mouse. $10. Hard to beat, unless your on ebay and willing to wait 4 weeks for delivery. But, this store doesn't focus on selling anything actually. Whilst they do sell computer accessories, this place focuses on computer repairs. Just as necessary as either a mouse or a cup computer. This is a handy thing to have around. The guy at the counter was friendly and very helpful, and we all know how important that is in computer repairs - as that is often the most frustrating time of our lives. The sales assistant James was very helpful, when giving advice about topping up my RAM on my hard drive he says including installation it would only cost about $60 to increase the speed by 20%. He made it sound like a really easy worthwhile process that I might just head in there over the next few weeks to get my lap top serviced. I think it could do with a bit of extra attention. And I think James has just the touch.
