Fraudulent and deceptive practices. I contacted Chris for a consultation about possibly filing for bankruptcy. I was told by email that the consultation would be free. During the consultation, I was advised that if I wanted to move forward in the future, I could place a $200 deposit, which would be refundable if I decided not to proceed. I paid the $200 under that agreement. For over four months, I have been requesting a refund. Each time I called or emailed, I was told the only way to get my money back was to schedule another meeting with Chris. After waiting two weeks for that meeting, it was canceled just 10 minutes before, with the excuse that the lawyer was unavailable. Later, I received a deceptive email stating I would not be refunded because Chris had already "met with me and discussed my options." That is not true -- we never agreed on any options, especially since my primary debt (student loans) could not even be included in bankruptcy. This office took $200 from me under the promise of a free consultation and a refundable deposit. That is dishonest, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of integrity. If a lawyer is willing to mislead clients over $200, they cannot be trusted with larger matters. I do not recommend this law office. read more

I'd would have thought that before we begin I want to know absolutely that a chapter 7 would cure the debt but that's not even true money deposits should not be given until the task is complete we lost money here and got nothing the chapter 7 did not go ; all and all the lawyers here are very knowledgeable but if I had to do this again I most likely wouldn't making any statements with getting a consumer to sign building false hope may be labeled misrepresentation of a contract false promises; after sign then tell customer that the chapter 7 would not cure the debt because too much equity in home ; for us coming here made matters worse . Initially I had a real estate problem. I called the Laputka law company. The receptionist was AMAZING and very helpful. They assigned me to Brian Keil where we then set up a zoom meeting. We hired Mr. Laputka to take on our case however the day of the mediation he sent someone else to fight our case. Brian Keil was who came and he had no clue. Who was making all kinds of mistakes and shaking a lot, like this was his first case ever. After everything was done we wrote Mr Laputka a letter stating our disappointment. He wrote us back basically apologizing and saying that we are not the only ones that have complained about the same thing. That was it!!! He didn't hesitate to charge us $350/hr and then dump us on to an inadequate employee. But even after acknowledging the inadequacy he did not refund us a dime!! read more
