I have never had trouble getting an appointment and very often you can just walk in and be seen there and then. Having had glasses for many years I have had more than my fair share of experience regarding opticians. I used to avoid Specsavers because I thought the cheap prices meant the service wouldn't be as good. However I have been pleasantly surprised and will continue to use them in the future. Specsavers offers good value for money with their glasses and they usually have offers such as 2 for the price of 1. This is very handy if you need prescription sunglasses too. I have found the staff very helpful when looking for a new frame and they can explain the options available for having lenses made thinner. The staff appear to have had good training.

It…read moreis a superb and reliable product and provided a new quality of life with understanding what people are saying (even in a noisy background) and enjoyment of music. Telephoned them recently with concerns I was no longer hearing the trafficator warning signal in my car or the electronic kitchen timer. When contacted Specsavers advised I was due for a NHS recheck. The hearing aid just needed adjustment and I can now hear those things again and speech is even clearer. Thanks to all for such a friendly and helpful service. PS Before transferring from the NHS hospital to Specsavers I had received excellent support for a private hearing aid. At no time was my NHS appointment at Specsavers used to promote the hearing aids that are provided privately. Also a customer for the spectacles!

The shop is nice and clean, bright and well laid out, I actually pop in here sometimes to browse through the new styles of frames they get in to see if there's anything that takes my fancy. You can usually book an eye test on their website, and then just pop in too, as i've done this before and they've always managed to get me seen.

They didn't have movable equipment to help you test in your wheelchair and the prescription I received was wrong too.
