But this one had so many…read moreholes in the process it was like a sieve. - It took from Jan 10 until Feb 24 to get copy of the deed and escrow checks from Western Title to the HOA management company. That was supposedly two packages by mail, and finally an email copy. - No follow up on the HOA problem by Jeni Roberts and her team. They just mailed and dropped it. I was the only one initiating action, and it took 12 emails. - Closing by remote online notary - missing critical paperwork (trust certification) which then had to be supplied after closing, and wire transfer instruction verification signature. Notary wasn't supplied with that paperwork. Completely dropped by Jeni Roberts. - 2nd titling (personal to trust) - not confirmed by Jeni Roberts - After specifically requesting wire transfers, not checks, the emailed instructions were for checks. Following a link "Get Started" and skipping PAST the part for checks finally revealed the wire transfer instructions. Not clear at all, no help from Jeni Roberts.

We live in Portland but home we bought is in Bend. I emailed my loan officer and then within 60 seconds I had a phone call from western title saying "Can you do it tomorrow?" In all honesty, I was given the option for an alternate, later date but then was told it was so near to the actual closing date on Tues. that it was not ideal. It was number one - last minute and number two - took ME to initiate it. Finally, when a "notary" came (on a Saturday) she could not answer any questions. It was not the notarists fault. They are not trained to answer these types of questions. I think they should've had a title/escrow agent on speakerphone for the duration of the signing. There were way too many blank stares between the three of us: my husband, myself and the notary. It made for an uncomfortable and uneasy close in a time that should've been exciting. There were no apologies when I expressed my concerns. Then they call to ask me where my wire (3pm closing day) is when I gave them ABA routing number, filling out a lengthy form, at time of closing. No one told me I had to do it myself! "Sorry, we forgot to include wire transfer instructions." Would not recommend.

My friend was smart enough to see these issues early on and was smart enough to work with another lender. However, I was far enough along it was too late for me to easily switch. I'm glad I've worked with other lenders buying other houses--I imagine it would be very difficult to work with Kathy as a first time home buyer. She forgot to update me how much money I would need at closing, resulting in me scrambling for thousands of dollars last minute, and resulting in costly unnecessary wire fees. She apologized this and said she would 'absolutely reimburse me' for these fees. It's now been almost 3 months and I haven't heard another word about it from her. She did admit she was busier than she had been in the past and hired an office assistant--maybe that will help her with her future clients. However, I will use another lender for my next purchase in Bend.

We several times considered firing her, but we were so stressed and exhausted that we couldn't bring ourselves to have to start over again. Sinda once bragged about being called a "bulldog." No. She was more like a nasty little ankle-biter that you just wished would shut up and go away! I hope she's gotten professional help since, but at that time, she was absolutely incapable of forming and finishing a single complete, coherent sentence. Her constant blathering was headache-inducing. She also utterly refused to ever listen to me. She announced one day that she was going to come over and weed my front flower beds. I told her in no uncertain terms that no, she was not: That I would do it myself. She then showed up the next morning and attacked our front yard. We weren't even aware of her presence until she started up a leaf blower and blew a lot of our bark mulch out into the street. She had also left a lot of weeds and pulled out some of my very expensive perennials instead. Before she brought the photographer to get interior photos, she said she was going to bring a bunch of cut flowers in vases. I told her no, that my husband has severe allergies, and she was not to bring flowers. She and the photographer then showed up the next morning, a full hour before they were scheduled to, and she immediately went to work bringing in cut flowers in vases and arranging them all over my house, ignoring my protests. The idiot later had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to keep her stupid flowers. She would call and immediately launch into one of her barrages of incomplete, incoherent sentences, blabbering incessantly, then ask what we thought. About what?!?!! And during one of her in-person nonsensical blabbering sessions, as my Sinda-induced headache grew worse, she actually turned to me and said, "Oh, I know this is hard for you to understand." Then continued babbling about whatever it was she thought she was conveying. Do I recommend Sinda Hanson? Not in a million years. Annoying doesn't even begin to cover it. To this day, just thinking about her gives me a headache all over again. AWFUL!
