We recently completed our pool project with Larry's. I cannot say enough good things about our experience from our first meeting to our final walk through. They were honest and forward about every step of the process. We did have some added costs along the way (to be expected with construction) but we warned about the possibility of these up front. They started digging when they said they would and completed the project on time (about 7 weeks). AND they did not leave my existing landscaping a complete mess which was a major plus to me. These guys are clueless about the products they sell and are very rude to deal with. They are the only dealers for Marquis in the Salt Lake City area, so I guess they don't feel that they have to earn anyone's business. I was so frustrated dealing with them, so I asked my contractor to reach out to them and see if he could do better. I assumed they would be interested in a contractor's repeat business. No such luck. Not happy with this place. I needed my pool winterized so I called around for an estimate. The first place I called told me $95 to winterize it. I then called larry's Pool & Spas, and they told me $90 and if it needed any chlorine then that would be an additional charge. Since they were $5 cheaper of course I went ahead and scheduled them to come out and winterize the pool. I had to leave town the day before they were scheduled to come out so I was not able to watch them winterize it. The day before they came out I tested the water and the chlorine level was perfect. I then added some shock, a little more chlorine than needed considering it was going to sit all winter. Once I returned from out of town I received a bill in the mail for $160. I figured it couldn't be right considering I was told $90 over the phone. I called them to ask about the bill and they said it was $115 to winterize and $45 for the added chlorine! They were very rude when I mentioned I was quoted $90 and not $115 and no chlorine was needed since I overloaded the pool with it the day before they got there. They would not live up to the $90 I was quoted and he assured me that it needed chlorine and would not come down on the pric. If I were here when they did it, it would have been a completely different story. I will not do business with them again! UPDATE: Winter is now over and summer is here. I went out to open up the pool, unscrewed all the plugs that were in place for winterizing. Once I got everything ready I turned the pump on to find out the pipes have been cracked. So not only did they overcharge me $70, they didn't do their job right which caused me to spend another $275 to have somebody come out to fix the broken pipes! Very angry with this company, I strongly suggest researching other companies for your pool needs! read more

Can I give a zero star rating here, because that's what they deserve. They built our pool 8 years ago and we've only used them for opening/closing the pool and for the weekly maintenance. Everything went fine for a few years, but they are probably the worst company to deal with. They tell us everything checks out on the pool chemicals and 12 hours later, I tested it myself and everything is off. This has happened every week this year and last. And they've never done 3/4 of the work they claim to do on the weekly maintenance. When I call and talk to the office lady, who I believe is the owner's wife, she just tells me they're checking into it, but I specifically asked for an apology and to take some accountability and she wouldn't give me one and just told me; "wow!" I'm and understanding person, not a complainer, and I'm very hard to get upset, but this tipped me over the edge. They need to learn some customer service. Oh yeah, also 3 weeks later they told me the pool wasn't being worked on because our room was locked and they couldn't get in, but the kicker here is that they took the key last year and never gave it back! Think they'll offer to re key my pool house??? Who knows who has my key now. read more

Larry's Pools recently put in a new pool liner, repaired some brick around the pool, replaced the salt chlorine generator, and put in a new light for us. They did a fantastic job.
