What could have been a nightmare became something completely different thanks to Gary, Ryan, and the entire team. From my very first phone call, I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. As a solo female traveler, I immediately felt safe, looked after, and respected. They didn't just do their job--they took responsibility for helping me find a real solution. What would have taken three weeks to fix with a factory-ordered part, they resolved with a creative, high-quality, and safe alternative, and at a very fair and honest price. They even went the extra mile to work with my warranty company, something most shops wouldn't bother with. Communication was excellent throughout--clear, prompt, and compassionate. The office itself was clean and welcoming, which matters. It shows that they care about your comfort. What impressed me even more was hearing from local residents that this business has been a trusted part of the community for over 30 years. We settled on a $300 refund so I could take the car elsewhere to finish the detail, along with updating this review to reflect how things were resolved. While I'm disappointed it took a bad review and a Facebook post to get to this point, I appreciate that they reached out to try and resolve the issue. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really wanted to support a local business, but unfortunately my experience with Complete Automotive and Tires left me disappointed. I paid $640 for a full detail and expected a truly spotless vehicle for that price. The dollar amount isn't really the issue. It's that for $640, there shouldn't be obvious spots left dirty that any detail should have covered. I've added photos of the areas that were clearly missed: under the seats, between the seats, the door plastic, the roof liner, and the trunk. Partway through, they called to tell me all the pet hair wasn't going to be completely cleaned and that it would cost another $300 on top of the original $640 to finish the job. I declined, because in my mind a $500+ detail should already warrant a completely clean car. I asked if I could just pick it up that day, and they told me the detail wasn't done yet. Fair enough, but at that point I was already frustrated with both the price and where things stood. The next day I wasn't able to pick up the car myself, so I paid remotely without looking it over first (that one's on me) and had my dad and sister grab it. When I finally saw the car, I was genuinely upset and tried to bring it back to show them the spots that were missed. The owner flat-out refused to come out and even look at it, which honestly made the whole thing worse. For $640, the quality just wasn't close to what anyone should expect and the refusal to even look at the issues sealed it for me. Truly disappointed. I'd think twice before bringing your vehicle here.

It looked as though the help ate their lunch in my car. Drinks spilt down the door panels front and back. A drink spilt and dried on my leather seat in the back. Cigarette ashes on the console around gear shift(I don't smoke). And a lot of gravel, small stones on the driver side floor. The hood had a lot of oil, grease stains. We were on Interstate 80 in Nebraska and googled transmission repairs and up popped several transmission shops, but one stood out in Grand Island Nebraska...BG & S Transmissions! We got to the shop Sunday evening and awaited opening at 7AM Monday morning. First, we met Tyler, who commands the front desk. He was very pleasant advising the owners would be in shortly. And Tyler was right! Bill and Brian arrived, checked out our truck and determined it was the rear differential. We agreed to the repair and they ordered the parts via air freight next day delivery. On Tuesday morning most of the parts arrived but the bearings were shipped ground in error and were not due until later that week. Knowing that we were at the start of our vacation, Bill and Brian worked their magic and found the other parts locally and by 5:30 Tuesday our Ram's differential was reassembled and we were on our way to our final destination in UT. This shop is the bomb! They had a parking lot full of other vehicles to work on and put them aside going above and beyond to help us get back on the road quickly. We can not thank the entire team at BG & S Transmissions enough for getting us up and running again and making our Summer 2021 vacation happen.
