You have an option to get it stuffed with shrimp, crawfish etoufee, beef, or chicken. The waitress recommended shrimp so I went with that. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. I wish the salsa was less watery and more spicy but I still ate it up. They also give you a bottle of green salsa but that one wasn't that spicy either. I think I saw some tables have another darker red salsa but they didn't give me that one. The plate comes with som rice, refried beans, and 4 tortillas with your choice of corn or flour. The shrimp were huge and full melty cheese a good flavor. I basically made tacos out of bite of the fried avocado. Very creamy with a slight outer crisp, but it breaks pretty easily. After awhile it got harder to eat because of the richness of the avocado. This was a very heavy meal and put me to sleep afterwards

I ordered the habanero short ribs, which were just decent. Some pieces were fatty, others were tough, and there was a sweeter flavor than I expected. My husband's fajitas were also just okay and seemed borderline overcooked. I also got the sense they may have been understaffed, because it took a very long time for our food to come out. The biggest misses for me were the extremely watery salsa and hard, flavorless chips. To end on a high note, the drinks were very good, and I would definitely recommend stopping in for cocktails.

This place has that home cooked feeling and that's what I love about this place. We come here every Friday to spend some time with my aunts and catch up and they have great service and good food. I will say that one thing they need to improve on is the coffee, it felt water down, and it was not as good. We did ask for a replacement, but literally came out tasting water down in the same.
