The food here is good and full of flavor, and you can tell care goes into the dishes. Unfortunately, our experience this time was overshadowed by the wait. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, and the child's meal came out last. That made for a very long and uncomfortable wait with a squirmy toddler at the table. We understand busy nights happen, but pacing the kids' meals earlier would have made a big difference. Literally never turn this way on 2920 so didn't know this restaurant existed until my good friend mentioned it as our dinner idea. It turned out pretty good. I'm trying to do better with the carbs but I did eat some chips and salsa. No complaints, even the green one was good. Not Chuy's good but let me not compare. I was struggling with what to order cause I didn't want a salad, I wanted enchiladas yummmmy but went with the beef fajitas. They didn't disappoint either; seasoned well and included onions and peppers. The one tortilla I did eat tasted good and made in-house. Service was good; checked on often but not overbearing. Language barrier with one guy but he was so nice and wanted to be so helpful. I broke out my translation app when I needed it and it was all good. I didn't mind at all. Parking is plentiful as it's in a shopping center. Went on a Tuesday and the patrons were surprisingly light. I mean taco tuesdaaaaaaaaaay should have been popping. But the atmosphere was chill. So far the new location for Las Fuentes off 2920!has not disappointed. I've tried this place about three times now twice for dinner and once for lunch. Dinner is great, fajitas, street tacos and enchiladas are delicious. Lunch I had their buffet it was lukewarm and not something I see myself coming back for. Beverages on point and they serve Coca Cola. Service: Always greeted with a smile choice of tables or booth. Ladies here are so polite here Family or friends kind of place to come for a good meal together. There is playground indoors where you can allow your kids to play. You can even watch them on video monitors. I see ourselves coming back again. read more

Just wanted to say my friend went again a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised and very happy with the service and food and he tried the buffet and said it was great. He was able to get a frozen Italian Margarita and said it was really good. Then just last night my friend went again and I met up with him for dinner. I ordered the Nachos Al Carbon and the menu clearly states with cheddar OR chile con queso. I ordered with Queso and she tells me there is a $2 charge. Ok, I ordered with queso like I wanted. Well my order arrives and the plate was missing sour cream and jalapeños which on the menu it says it comes with. I'm not happy that I paid $16.95 for Nachos al carbon that are only $10.95 online price or $14.95 on the in restaurant menu. Be careful for up charges and items missing from your plate. On top of all this the service was subpar. We had to ask for drink and chip refills from the manager because our waitress wasn't around. I'm give this place 1 star because the food did taste good but customer service was Bad!! read more

This was quite possible one of the worst experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. We showed up with a party of 6 around 7-8pm on a Saturday night. We were told it was only a 15-20 minute wait to be seated, so we waited and were seated. Unfortunately we weren't greeted by a waiter or waitress for about 30 minutes. We asked a worker to bring out 6 waters since we hadn't spoken to our server we then received 1 water. We finally asked a guy who looked like a waiter if he was our waiter after about an hour of no service. He decided to wait our table and I am absolutely confident that by his word slurring and profuse sweating he was drunk. We ordered 5 alcoholic beverages and our meals and had to wait another hour to receive our drinks, we actually got our food before our drinks and about 3 meals were cold. By this time I was full of chips and salsa and we were still waiting on 2 meals which came out about 15-20 minutes later. I confronted the manager about the poor service, disorganization and extreme wait time. To which his excuse was a "large party of over 150." I believe that is none of any others customers concern and just because you have a large party doesn't give you the excuse to not provide great service to everyone. His only offer was to give us free alcohol which was extremely unappealing at this point. He then offered to compensate for 2 meals, in reality the entire tables shouldn't been completely free. The worst part was that one of our friends is pescatarian and ordered shrimp quesadillas, upon opening it. She found a piece of steak, luckily she decided not to press charges. The restaurant floor was extremely dirty and the atmosphere was loud and unruly. read more

I went to the Las Fuentes location on FM 2920 July 3, 2025. The food was good and the service was average. However, I experienced an incident that brought this rating way down. I will not go to this location again. I've gone to sing karaoke at the magnolia location for years and thought I would give this location a try. It had been raining that evening? And the staff was cleaning up early. They rolled up the rugs by the front door creating a slippery and wet area. As I was stepping outside, I slipped and caught myself on the door frame. I told the lady at the front counter that it was wet and I almost fell. She came over and dried up the area and walked away even though she could obviously see I was in pain. Then my waitress came by, and uh, asked, if I had paid my bill as I was standing there trying to recover from pulling something in my knee. I also told her that I almost fell and she said, "Sorry" and walked away. I had to have assistance walking to my car, from my friends and yet no one from the restaurant offered any help or any sympathy. read more

Food was horrible. It was bland. We order a queso,I don't know if they know what a real queso is, but that was bland tasted like it was straight from a can. And the fajitas were not it, they tasted old and the rice was cold as well. Also the chips and dip is just something else. I don't recommend this place. Save your money not worth it. read more

Been about 10 times and gets worse each time. Food portions smaller. Price increases. Quality of food declining. Had a bad experience with a large group older kids in the playground area beating up smaller children which created an episode between parents in the restaurant including myself and other parents with smaller children and management did nothing about and did not care. There is a sign that says 36" max height rule to enter but manager pointed to the sign that says "We are not responsible for anything." Never going back. Complete waste of time and money. Salsa tastes like ketchup. Quesadillas with little to no meat in them. Bland and hardly cooked. Not safe for children. read more

Best place to relax, eat and drink while the kids play in their play area. Food is amazing and fairly priced. Service is great, as well. They have live video of the kids play area on the tvs so you can watch the kids without getting up. read more

I came during the buffet lunch, I wasn't aware of it though unfortunately. If the waiter told me about the buffet instead of just handing me a menu and expecting me to just order from it. Waiter was rude Eric and didn't really want to serve me. 3 stars because of the playground and because of the other guy who was helping the waiter was much better at customer service. I really didn't ask for much. Was too later after had ordered when I noticed others getting up and eating the Buffet. Maybe I'll try again and this time not rely on the wait staff to help me again. Good food, horrible service. Ordered online today. Went to pick up and stood at the front for more than 5min uses before anyone walked up to assist. The hostess asked how many and I smiled and said 'I'm picking up an order', she frowned at me and turned away. She asked the woman behind me the same and she stated she wanted to order food to go. The hostess said nothing just stood at her podium. The woman and I both looked at one another like 'did this just happen?' She ignored us both. Three more workers walked up, ignored us and the hostess said nothing. Finally my order arrived and the young man checking me out rang up the order and placed the receipt on the counter with a 'just sign it' and he walked away. Again in shock even the woman behind me shook her head. She spoke up to the young man before he completely walked away asking if she could order. He told her to wait a minute and walked away. Definitely an unfriendly place. Food was not great. Their white queso is nasty!!! I was there yesterday/Saturday around 430 pm. Lots of staff around. My husband and I stood there for a few minutes with staff just looking at us. No one greeted us or said a word to us. The manager was on his phone talking to someone, he grabbed menus and proceeded to sit us down not saying a word. We had a party of 7 and he tried to sit us at a booth for 2. When I motioned to him "no"... still not getting off of his phone he motto another waitress to sit us. Once again not a word and didn't bother to ask how many. Still tried to sit us down at a booth for 2. On top of the unprofessionalism of the staff the food was mediocre, definitely not the Las Fuentes experience I am used to. The most attentive and nice staffer in the restaurant was definitely the water boy. Restaurant was clean but the wooden chairs were all different sizes most of them made you feel like you were sitting in a high chair. I've tried this restaurant 4 times since they opened trying to give them a chance. Only to be disappointed every time. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! read more

The service was not the best, the food was alright, but what bothered me most was that when the check came and I gave the waiter my credit card when he brought me the receipt back for me to sign it, it reflected a different price when I asked the waiter he acted like he didn't understand I was unaware that they added the tip. Also on the receipt there was a place to add another tip. I think they should have said something when they brought the bill in the first place. Then the waiter tried to say that it was printed on my bill and proceeded to try to argue then he brought my first receipt and he had then put the stamp on it I told him it was not on there before. After my initial review there is something important to consider. The restaurant had just opened and I'm quite certain that there were some kinks to work through. I've been back twice since and each time they have drastically improved the quality of the food! In fact, the food has been excellent! Great portion size along with reasonable pricing! Everything you can expect from a Mexican/ TexMex establishment is here! Both the ambience and service are spot on! The menu is quite extensive and everything we have ordered thus far has been fantastic! One thing I would love to see added to their already excellent menu is Conchinita Pibil! I feel that Las Fuentas will be our new weekly go to! read more

We have been coming to this location since February 2024, my wife and son really loved this restaurant. Yesterday my wife had a pregnancy craving for nachos and I had the lunch buffet. I was extremely Ill upon leaving with diarrhea and throwing up. I called to speak to manager and explained situation and he refused refund and was very rude. That was the only thing I ate yesterday at around 11:45 for lunch. I asked if power went out during storm as this never happened after eating there, he was so defensive and I was just trying to be empathetic. He doesn't value customers like me I guess so I won't be back, sadly as I really enjoyed. I been going to the hempstead location since 2007 in college but never again will I spend another dime there. We love Las Fuentes and are so glad they opened another location. The service is amazing and the food is always top notch. The Las Fuentes special is what my husband always gets and I either get the California burrito or the chimichanga. My 2 year old loves the chicken quesadillas and plays non-stop on the playground. Absolutely 10 out of 10! I have eaten at a lot of places and NONE hold a candle to this place. We had Arnulfo, Hugo and Jay all take care of us. Anytime or anything we needed, they were there before we had to flag someone down. Best service I've ever had and the atmosphere & food were awesome as well! If you don't give this place a try (especially if you have younger kids as they have an indoor play area), then you are doing yourself a disservice. read more
