Terrible experience overall. We were greeted right away, but after placing our order, the service completely disappeared. No one came by to clear our table, bus dirty dishes, or help us place an additional order. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than attending to guests. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. To make matters worse, the food did not match the menu description. We ordered the pescado zarandeado, which was supposed to come with vegetables and avocado. Instead, we were served a burnt, dry piece of fish, no veggies, no avocado, no salsa, nothing. When I asked about the missing items, the waitress said they came on the side, even though the menu photo clearly showed them plated with the dish. When the sides finally arrived, it was just some lettuce, a few orange slices, tomatoes, and half a scoop of avocado. Completely underwhelming. This place is not worth it. Eh. That was the total experience. Decided to give this place a try. As we walked in we were hoping for something good because the smell in the restaurant was delicious. There were a couple of people there not busy. The server was not the friendliest but not terrible. A younger waitress finished helping us and she was much better. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and a tostada mixta. The tostada was large and fed 2 easily however, it was not great. It was too fishy and the smell was too overwhelming. I had to really season it to get it down. The cocktail also needed lots of flavor. The shrimp were obviously not cleaned and it gave me the yuck. I really wanted to like this place. I calculated everything and showed her and NOPE she was insistent i owed $230 for 2 lemonades, 2 squirts, 2 micheladas, 1 fajita plate, 1 aguachile, 1 different plates of ceviche. After about 5 minutes of me showing her she then said she messed up and my total was $130 ((on the picture she added the 1 over the 2 on the 230.) i did the calculations showed her it was basically $128 paid her $140 and she still had the nerve to give me $10 change. i made her give me the additional change she owed me. Free thick tortilla chip and salsas. Seafood is decent quality. Recommend anything ceviche (meaning no fried or boiled items). The cup of shrimps are filled with lots so dig in deep. As for taste, its decent -- if the seafood is decent, then I can't complain about any taste. SUPER DUPER LOUD! They blast the music. There's a juke box and I am unsure how to pay for NO music. There is a live band that comes in later in the night. Heard this place gets lively on weekend day and nights. Service: Don't expect any. You can flag them down or walk over to them. Staff are nice. It'll be recommended to come with a Spanish-speaking friend or just be patient pointing out items you want. They have indoor table and booth seating. It has to be illegal for this place to still be open. The inside is filthy and poorly managed. As soon as u walk in you get hit with the overly loud music. The whole time we were there we couldnt even hear each other talk. Once the music died down for a bit the waitresses put it back on and even louder each time. They seem to just let anyone in off the street. We had people coming to our table trying sell us plastic jewelry, flowers, even a guy with a guitar trying to sell music. Ive gotten better service at a hot dog stand than here. You dont get one server assigned to you like a normal restaurant. ALL of them are serving all the tables. The main one for us looks like she just escaped from someones basement. She was super timid, quiet, and not a smile out of her. She came to ask us a question and couldnt hear over the music. We yelled that we couldnt hear and she didnt make her voice louder, just kept talking the same. Who hires these people?! The food was horrible. Ordered 3 asada tacos with a side of rice. The rice came out first and then the tacos about 10 mins later...raw!! All the food was coming one by one instead of all at once. Hello people restaurant 101. The margaritas were super thick and alcohol free, which they dont even tell u about. Theyre impossible to drink thru a straw. Got the check and paid and all of a sudden its like god came down to slap a smile on these bitches cuz they were all over trying to get the tip. Glad to say we didnt leave them any. When the bill came, my uncle paid and my other uncle tipped, the waitress said thank you and left with a big thank you and didn't count the money. The owner then comes around saying the check was missing $100. For a $500 check, the waitress should know to stop and count the money, not everyone has $100 extra to drop on a check because of a waitresses incompetence. read more

The four stars are based on food taste and portions since their customer service needs a lot of room for improvement. I ordered a Cocktail de Camaron (large) which they don't hold back on their shrimp. My wife loves their Camarones a la Diabla because it has the perfect spiciness and a great serving portion. My little one had an order of nuggets and fries which was also a big portion but nothing special. Atmosphere: When you walk in you already get slapped with some loud music (depending if you enjoy Mexican music or not into loud environments this will be something of ones judgement). The waitresses lack that follow up and friendly vibe. The restrooms are located outside but I would use caution when you use it (spoiler alert, the bathrooms may be a horror scene and the stench might give you a double whammy). Love this place! It's under new ownership and the service is an A+ now. Everything about this restaurant was absolutely horrible but it's officially had a turn for the best. The food is now tasting edible & looks like the cooks take pride in their work. I spoke to the new owners regarding the previous waitresses and I'm happy to inform you they were deported. Been coming here for about 13 years now and the place has not changed one bit. The portions are huge and definitely sharable. Would recommend sharing with so that one can try multiple of their dishes because they have such great variety. If you don't feel like sharing, be ready for a to go box to enjoy leftovers later! Try the huacinango relleno, any of the ceviches, the campechana... you really can't go wrong here. If your taste in Mexican food runs towards the more pedestrian, you can find all the standard fare here: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. But the sign says mariscos for a reason, and if you're not familiar with Nayarit-style seafood you're in for a real treat. Hell, even if you are it's still a treat: as fresh as if it just came off the wharf and one $15 entree will leave you and your date stuffed and with leftovers. Decent mariscos if you're in the area. Stopped in for lunch after running around to have a few beers. Of course food wasn't far behind since I hadn't ate breakfast. I ordered ceviche that was ok.
