I could say it's heaven on earth. We were walking at La Orotava, just wondering around trying to find something to eat. We came across this place which looked a bit more fancy than we would have chosen to eat price wise but we decided to give it a go as it was full of locals. Gladly we did!! The menu had so many teasing options but we decided to get the papas bravas (potatoes with spicy sauce), a soup to share and some meat plates. We also got some wine,I told him I wanted a fruity one and he chose the wine for me. The food was coming out in perfect timing. First we got the bread and a sausage on the house. This they lighted on fire and told us we should wait for it to fade away. The sausage became warm and soft and the taste was just incredible. Next we got the soup which was supposed to be for one but we got instead a huge pot! It was enough for three people for a price of around 5 euro. Then we got the first meat plate and the potatoes and then the second meat plate. Wow! I think this is my favourite place of all restaurants I visited in Tenerife. At around 20:30 the place was full and a line was forming. People waiting to eat there. Mostly locals and few tourists who seemed to know the place. The price of everything we ate was 42 euro including a bottle of wine (12 euro) that we bought and 3 glasses of good wine. Definitely worth the visit. And I am sure you will go back if you try it once!

So prior to us even ordering the drinks, we got in a few pictures and videos of the sun setting. It was a really great and magical night! The drinks were delicious and very yummy, the food was just as great. I think I ordered a meat (pork) dish and my boyfriend got a fish dish. Overall, the presentation, flavors and views were all there. The service was also just as phenomenal. I highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful meal here while on holidays in Tenerife. It was one of the highlights of our…read moretrip! The food, service and ambience were all top class. We arrived mid afternoon and it was such a treat to sit in the beautifully and tastefully decorated dining room amid white linen cloths and stunning sea views - and be treated to such great food and service! The starters were served with style and aplomb - mushroom soup poured from on high into a bowl with slices of delicious aubergines, and a vegan option of seitan and quinoa - the dish arrived covered and was opened with flourish among a great display of steam- both starters were excellent. Our waiter was so pleasant and just the 'right amount' of attentive. The main courses of 'surf and turf' and cod with reduced wine sauce and Tenerife potatoes were delicious and left room for our home made desserts and espressos. House white and red were very pleasing indeed! I'd highly recommend Terrazas del Sauzal for a special day out for a romantic meal or for entertaining people you treasure. Well done to Jean-Paul and all the team behind this beautifully positioned and well executed restaurant.
