Located in a charming neighborhood blocks from arc de triomf . Their lunch special includes a starter and main course. I had a sea bass starter and a spaghetti main, both were fantastic. Would strongly recommend this place for the food, location and ambiance.

In Spain but want to take a trip to Italy--hop on over Las Sorrentinas. Adorable exterior and interior , great ambience. Feels very homey and authentic. The pasta is freshly made everyday and delicious. I asked the waiter what his recommendations were and he showed me the different pastas. He recommended the malfiditas with the traditional cherry tomato and basil sauce. I wish I got that but I got the egg dough and basil pesto. I wished my pesto had a bit more flavor to it and garlic. You do have to pay for the pasta and then the sauce separately. Very kind staff with recommendations. They also accommodated a group of 7 of us for a reservation the next night. It's in a cute spot of town on a side street as well. Buono appetito!

    Rigatoni with ragú

Very classy and authentic Italian restaurant. Service was good and sauce was really something else I'll tell ya! BUT sadly there is a difference between al dente and undercooked. Rigatoni was way to tough and small still. Sauce was pretty on par. Overall fun experience, especially how they show you all the types of pastas they offer before you order love that.

Ever cut into ravioli and it wilts beneath your fork's pressure? This ravioli doesn't. Las Sorrentinas' ravioli is packed; no, stuffed with ingredients. Cutting into their ravioli is like revealing the center of a dense cake. I passed this place last night after midnight yesterday. Most of this area was closed or closing, but I made note of their location. I visited this restaurant the next day around mid-afternoon and it was moderately busy. Seating is mostly shared around 3 tables and some counter seating. A WC visit gives you a fine view of their kitchen. Their menu is posted outside, but the prices are incorrect. The ravioli is actually €1 more. Fortunately, their menus inside are all updated. Barcelona locals might be more familiar with them under their original name, Con Pasta y a lo Loco. I ordered the beetroot ravioli with poached pears in sugar, goat cheese, and ricotta topped with green pesto and ricotta. Their menu advertises picking a pasta, a sauce and a topping. Since the prices build on each other, you probably don't have to get all 3. Wow! Was that ravioli delicious! First, it was smothered in green pesto lending a small grainy earthiness to balance my ravioli's slight inherent sweetness. And then ricotta balanced everything else with its refreshing intact creaminess. I strongly recommend this spot. It is slow, but they advertise this. If you're traveling by yourself and don't get alone with your thoughts, bring a book, practice your Spanish with someone at your table, or order a salad or soup to keep you busy.

Fresh pasta made in the back. Cooked to order, with your own sauce and topping combination. Filling and seriously delicious. Burrata is a must try. No frills, done right.

When you want to try something different than tapas come here. We absolutely loved the homemade pastas and lasagna. Such a cute place. Can't wait to come back!

This is a very small and cute place where you can have a delicious handmade and fresh pasta. The prices are cheap and the crew is quite nice. I always go for the sorrentina sauce, my favorite!

This restaurant was steps from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. We made a reservation…read moresince it was a Saturday night & we were seated right away. It was busy when we arrived but there were still many tables available. The decor was warm & welcoming. Unfortunately I wish I could say the same for our server. He was abrupt & seemed annoyed we were there, not very attentive either. However, our food was wonderful! We ordered two entrees, a beef sirloin dish & a pasta dish. Our food came out fast. The beef were tender sirloin medallions in a flavorful white wine sauce over risotto, very delicious. The pasta was stuffed with truffle served with a porcini mushroom sauce & truffle pearls. A luscious dish...both rich & satisfying. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Anniversary Dinner in Barcelona -- Pleasantly Surprised!…read more Celebrated our anniversary here at Luigi's while in Barcelona, and honestly, I was surprised that it wasn't as expensive as I expected for a nice sit-down spot in the city. Service was decent and the food came out at a good pace. We started with the Burrata salad (€14), which was super refreshing, especially with the balsamic vinaigrette. We also ordered the prosciutto pizza (around €14), which was simple, tasty, and hit the spot. Of course, I had to try the truffle pasta (about €13) -- creamy and comforting just the way I like it. Hubby ordered the seafood linguine (€15), and that was actually a standout -- light, flavorful, and packed with the perfect amount of shrimp. Overall, such a nice spot to enjoy Italian food in Barcelona without breaking the bank. Definitely a pleasant surprise for our anniversary dinner. Happy eats!
