Saw this place as I was going to the Hampton's.. the parking lot was packed. I was curious I asked the gentleman at the front desk and he gave high reviews. I didn't feel like driving anywhere and it was literally walking distance. I decided to give them a try. I got the taco salad w beef and it was delicious. It was full of flavor in every bite. They didn't cheat me on the meat.. it was full of meat. I got thru eating the top and still had plenty of meat at the bottom.. the only thing I didn't like was that they didn't drain the meat it made the bottom of the shell soggy. Place sucks! They used to be good before the moved into their new building! Service sucks and especially management! They don't fix anything that comes out wrong or help's anything! Better Mexican food in Ardmore and local taco trucks! Like the one at Elk River Trading! Gave place two chances and both times food wrong and it was off the kid's menu! This has to be the worse mexiCan food I have ever had! The taco meat in the burrito tasted terrible had to be low quality meat Beans were bland and the chalupa was soggy. My spouses chicken quesadilla was fine. Service was very nice. Drinks were large. I have no interest in going back. read more

I'm from California so my standard for Mexican food is pretty high. Their tacos we ok, but wouldn't recommend. They did have great drinks here though. The cowboy margarita is a must try. I felt pretty safe dining indoors here during the pandemic. Tables were distanced and staff wore masks. Awful waiter. There were 4 of us. He got 3 of the drink orders correct. When told one if the drinks that had been ordered was wrong, he stomped off. Then time for dinner orders. three out-of 4 wrong. Two of the group got 1/2 of their order. Waiter wouldn't make eye contact and did not come back. When I went to talk to the manager the restaurant manager was not available so I spoke with the bar manager. The bar manager apologized and said to come back again and this would be made right. Not many great places to eat in Fayetteville. This one is really good - especially for the price. Salsa was outstanding - best I've had for a while in a chain restaurant, with nice, crunchy and tasty chips. I had huevos con chorizo, which are scrambled eggs with Mexican-spiced sausage. I had them put cactus in them, too, which is what I get at the best gas station diners in New Mexico and Arizona. (I tried to get them to put nopales in them, but the waitress just looked puzzled.) Cactus has a texture like and a flavor a little like okra, so good Southerners need not be afeared - and it's good for you, not to mention tasty in Trojas' huevos! Get that. My wife had a chimichanga. She was very happy with her choice. I forgot to ask her for a taste, so don't have personal experience, but you can trust her. She has good taste in lots of things. Service was very good, friendly and prompt but not obtrusive. The value was excellent - two hearty meals with just water, one lunch worth of leftovers and a healthy but well-earned tip for $22.27. I came in for lunch with a group, we all had to wait more than 30 minutes for our food. I was the only person not to receive my order and had to ask for it again and by this time had to ask for it to placed in a to go container because our lunch break was over. Have you ever refused to eat food and sent it back even before it was placed on your table? I did 2nite. It was not flautus, but some bad version of chicken wrapped in flour tortillas and covered in a cream sauce. I told server to give me tab 4 margarita I had ordered and was drinking. I tipped 30 plus % and wrote, Thnx for hospitality. Then a "manager" came out to confront me about the "waste of food" they were throwing away. Waste? I used my own metal straw, I worry so much about waste! I offered to pay for food. She refused but wanted to keep pushing issue. I've never been so embarrassed or upset! read more

Not a great experience. Monday evening, I wasn't aware Mexican restaurants hosted bingo nights. Not the best atmosphere for enjoying dinner, but, ok... If that's what their deal is, I guess I should have researched. Good salsa, average chips. I ordered fajitas and a a draft beer. 10 minutes later the waiter says they don't have the beer I ordered. Now I don't have the beer list, so I ask for one. 3 minutes later he brings the list, then leaves and takes two different tables' orders before I can order a beer! Now my dinner shows up. The waiter comes back and asks me if I "ever figured out the beer thing". I tell him Budweiser. He asks if I want draft or bottle, so I order draft. He goes off, takes another table's order, then goes to the bar. He comes back with a bottle 5 minutes later and tells me they don't have bud on draft. Doesn't bring a beer glass. Meanwhile I'm halfway done eating my fajitas. The fajitas were ok. Mushy shrimp, dry pork, but good beef and chicken. Very large portion, with good sides and 4 tortillas. At the end, the water apologized and removed the charge for the beer. Next time in town I'd probably try another restaurant. read more

Decided to try this restaurant instead of Buena Vista in front of target. The staff all the way from reception to paying for our ticket seemed confused with how to perform their jobs, and while the waitress was nice she was slow to get her tasks complete. The food was overall pretty good, not great, but good. A final factor in my 1 star decision, and choice to never return is the ticket I got for our family of six. What would've cost us about $65 at Buena Vista, instead ran us $93 at Las Troja. The kids drinks were over priced at almost $3 per, and meals there average about $15 per plate on the low end. The overall experience left us with a desire to no longer go there. read more

After touring the Jack Daniel Distillery and checking into our cabin at Mulberry Lavender Farm, the owner recommended Las Trojas. We arrived, hungry, around 9 p.m. Salsa and chips, as well as our drinks, arrived quickly, followed by guac (highly recommend; the deep-fried flour tortilla "bowl" was really good). Food is decent if you're lucky enough to get a waiter/waitress who speaks enough English to get your order right. Full bar but again hope for a bartender who understands what you're ordering.
