Man, I hate doing this. I have always had great service from these guys in the past. But when I took my Canyon MTB in for a brake bleed everything changed. While having my Specialized Turbo Levo serviced, I inquired about having my Hayes Dominion Brakes bleed on my Canyon Torque. They checked to see if they had the bleed kit and said absolutely they could do that job. Awesome! A few days later I arrive to drop my bike off for brake bleed service. Speaking to the exact same guys who said yes they could do it, stated that they could not do it as they did not have the bleed kit for Hayes. After a few minutes, one guy says oh I can do it I have the bleed kit at home. Ok, great. Said it would be a few days before they could get to it, which was fine. A week later I got a call that my bike was ready for pick up. Which was perfect timing as I had a trip to Snow Summit planned that weekend. Took the bike home, packed my things, and headed to snow summit the next morning. Excited to ride opening weekend with everyone. I arrive to snow summit, take the bike off the bike rack, and NO BRAKES!!! WTF? I called and informed them of the issue and took my bike to the bike shop at snow summit. They put it on the bike stand and found that there was still a bunch of trapped air in the system. A quick bleed at the lever and I was on my way. First run the brakes were awesome, just like new. Half way down my second run, I hit a small drop, hear a pop, and NO BRAKES!!! Luckily I was able to save it and prevent what could have been a very bad crash. Walked the bike to the bottom and back to the parking lot to inspect my bike. Upon inspection, I found that they had either not reinstalled or did not torque the pad retention bolt on the rear brake causing the brake pads to come loose and eventually pop out of the caliper. The bike shop at snow summit did not have the correct brake pads to make the repair, therefore ultimately ending my day of riding before 11am. This was a huge waste of time and money for basically 1 run down. $150 in gas, $60 lift ticket, etc.... Frustrated does not begin to describe what I was experiencing at the time. Nothing I could do, so I returned to Vegas and dropped my bike off to have it fixed properly, replacing pads, bolt, new bleed, and check to ensure everything is working properly. Here we are 2.5 weeks later and finally get my bike back. After a look over I notice that the retaining bolt was not replaced but instead a cotter pin was used in place of a replacement bolt. This is the kind of shit service they provide these days? I am beyond pissed off with the service and treatment I received on this repair. I will not take it back to them to fix it properly, I will just order the part and replace it myself. It seems as though they don't care about doing things right, just the cheapest way possible. Not sure about you, but I don't want my bike repaired half assed which could result in a crash and serious injury. Up until this experience I would always recommend Las Vegas Cyclery for sales, service, and rentals. After this I am no longer comfortable sending my friends and family here. There are many choices in town and I suggest you look into those shops before bringing your bike here!

I always come here for my cycle needs, I teach indoor spin and every time I need shoes or clips the team is very helpful. Just bought some new clips for my shoes and always appreciate them putting the clips on for me. I always recommend my clients to come here. Thank you so much for always making things easy and fast Check them out!

    Nice shop here.

Stopped in on 1/9/21 Sunday to get a look at the shop and bike inventory. Visiting LV for a Raiders game, we are avid mountain bikers and always look for solid bike shop resources when traveling. Mark greeted us and spent a good 10 minutes with me chatting about Santa Cruz and Specialized products, as well as sharing excellent trail beta on McCullough and Late Nite Trailheads. Very helpful. We chose a few pairs of socks to support local, and were met by Kevin at the register up front. This shop is very well stocked...bikes, supplies, and clothing. Even an elusive Copper XX1 10-52 cassette...nice!! Kevin spread the stoke with shop shop stickers (always a nice touch, and free marketing) to complete our sale. Their service dept was clean and organized, and a fleet of racked touring vans were out front. What more could you need in a bike shop?? Oh yeah, and outdoor wind turbine to sustainably power the shop. Yep, they had that too. We will be back, thanks LVC.

Thank you Shawn and Crew for getting me back on my bike! You are all rockstars!!!

Honestly, this was one of the best purchasing experiences I've ever had…read more I found the exact bike I wanted through the Specialized site and it came up as available at Swanny's. I'm in LA but figured I'd call to see if it was any cheaper than my local shop. They informed me that because they were shipping from Nevada to LA there wasn't any sales tax (10.5%) and they would throw a little love on top. They sent an invoice and I paid it. A day later it was shipped out and the next morning my bike arrived. The turn around was shockingly fast. Something did go wrong though. A helmet I ordered was damaged in shipment AND THEY SAID "KEEP IT, WE'LL GET ANOTHER ONE SENT OUT!!" I'm floored with the easy purchase, no hassle pricing, and especially the customer service. I don't think I'll ever buy a bike from another shop. The 5 star rating they have with hundreds of reviews isn't bullshit and is well earned. Much love to the ownership and team hear. Truly a top tier shop.

I initially went to REI feeling completely lost and unsure of what I needed. After walking around for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged, I decided to leave and I'm glad I did because I found this shop instead. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away. Zabi took the time to look over my bike and made helpful recommendations on what I needed to get it road-ready again. At no point did I feel pressured into buying anything. Instead, he made sure I felt comfortable and understood my options. The customer service was outstanding, not only from him but from everyone else in the shop as well. Even if larger corporate stores are running sales, I would much rather drive here and support a business where customers are genuinely welcomed and cared for. Overall, this is an excellent shop with knowledgeable staff, great customer service, and a team that truly cares about its customers.

With our son being baptized last weekend, followed by 'real talk' with your medical specialist about the consequences of poor decisions, buffets and late nights all catching up after years of sedentary lifestyle, something needed to change. So I got a bike. The last time I used a bike regularly was in the 80's where my Tuffy took me miles away from home. And the desperate race to get home before dark and my father's whupping. I did my usual research, comparing and investigating different brands, different styles of bikes and their uses. I already had my heart set on a cyclocross or gravel bike. My buddy Gruber had a Surly that he rode 22 miles both ways to work in the dead of a Chicago winter from our apartment downtown. That sold me on the practical use of a bike that could take it under adverse conditions. I had actually looked for the right bike since. But I couldn't part ways with $3-5k on a Specialized or Trek. That was an expense I usually spared for firearms - truth talk. After my doctors appointment I made a call to the one closest to home. Giant on Blue Diamond. Spoke with Hanna and told her what I was looking for. She mentioned a couple of different models that fit the bill but what caught my attention was that one model was nearly $550 off the full price but it was the last model on the show floor. I gave it 2 weeks. And then 2 nights in a row I wake up with GI pain that kept me awake all night. I swung to the store when they opened and Pat and Hanna showed me some really cool features - 1. It was my size, 2. The tires were tubeless so there was no need to fill the tires with air - better for running over pointy things and keep on rolling, and 3. A brake system based on hydraulics. I was out of excuses. I bought it before anyone else could snap it up. Pat adjusted everything and Hanna shaved some of the seat stem after measuring - while cautioning me on the expectations and finer points of bicycling. Bottom line, I highly recommend! They're knowledgeable without being pretentious. Informative without being pushy or upselling at every opportunity. Both of them advising to spend on higher end items until I was properly broken in. Go here and ask for Pat and Hanna!

From the second I walked in, the team made me feel completely welcome -- no ego, no judgment, just genuine help. They didn't just fix my tire, they actually helped me understand the sport a little better. That meant a lot. When you're a beginner, that kind of patience and education builds confidence. Hannah especially was incredible -- her speed changing my tire was unreal. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Efficient, professional, and still super kind the entire time. What really stood out to me is that I don't even ride a Giant bike (yet), and they still treated me like I was family. That says everything about the culture of this shop. Because of how well I was treated, my next bike will absolutely be a Giant -- and I'll be coming here for life. Highly recommend.
