Great teachers and advisors, caring, and helpful. Classes are very good, and prepare students well for the future. There is a network of advice and support for jobs, and for study abroad opportunities. Everything is well organized, and they help the students to succeed and thrive. A real feeling of community. I loved my time at Lasell and have fond memories. But a 2 year degree here in Fashion Merchandising isn't really worth anything in terms of a decent salary or a career once you leave school. You need a 4 year degree & should minor in another related field. This school provided nothing in terms of mentoring or career advice. read more

I love being on campus at Lasell. There are always events happening. I have met some of my best friends here and have been learning about something that truly interests me. My education is extremely important to me and I can't imagine being anywhere else. The professors here are also amazing. They have been helpful through my journey as a student and have helped me succeed. I have always felt comfortable reaching out to my professors because of their kind and welcoming personalities. I also have been able to appreciate all of the different opportunities that the campus has to offer. I am a part of many different clubs and organizations here at Lasell and I love every moment of it. I also have had the honor of working and interning on campus. As a student, I have enjoyed my experience at Lasell. The location alone is incredible and has presented me with so many benefits. Being located so close to Boston has allowed me to experience so much socially, while also having a quiet place to come back to at the end of the day. I have not experienced the education here but I can speak to them as a neighbor and member of the community. While they talk a big game about their community efforts they are secretly and underhandedly infringing on the wellbeing of the neighborhood. They leverage the 'quaint and quiet neighborhood' as part of their charm but then turn around and do things that negatively impact this same neighborhood in order to make money. The most recent example of this is the lights at Grellier field. They want to rent it out to make money. This isn't about their students, this is about their bottom line. As a non-for-profit school, they should find other ways to boost their financial spreadsheet, not on the backs of the neighbors that have welcomed them and their students all of these years. read more

Lasell College has a plethora of opportunities for its students. Both career wise and while on campus. Because most college students are hungry almost all the time, Lasell has dining services available all day, from the dining hall to the late night grill, Boomer's. There is always a variety of food as well. Now let's talk about the dorms. These dorms are awesome. Bigger than other schools I've seen and the fact that we can live houses without having to be in Greek life is AH-mazing. The houses are unique, all different and the closets are HUGE. I loved living in the houses. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. The classes here are also fantastic, they are small and the professors really do care about your future after you have graduated from Lasell. The professors remember your face & name and what you want to do with your life besides bing watch Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. They have experience that adds another level to the teaching here. You're not a number at Lasell, you're a person with dreams and ambitions. Def take a tour of Lasell, the tour guides are fabulous and will give thorough stories and facts about the college and the student life here. If you don't like the school you'll at least LOVE the tour guides. read more

You will get a decent education here. Very hands on but for people who want to come for fall 2017 be very cautious because parking right now and for the next 1-2 years is going to be horrible! I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed with all their no parkings and parking limits but yet there is no parking available after 8:30AM. I should not have to come to school at 8AM for an 11AM class. I am late to my classes because parking is always an issue. read more

My son is a junior here and the school is a perfect fit. He is close to Boston and gets a lot of internship opportunities available. He loves all the teachers and they are very accommodating to the students needs. It is a great residential life and lots of activities and smiling people. They are going to be gaining university status soon and will be Lasell University and not Lasell College read more

Lasell College is a small private school that is full of opportunities for its students. They offer generous financial aid packages, supportive faculty, abroad opportunities, on campus housing, as well as a wide assortment of clubs & teams to get involved in. If you are looking for a college education in a small scale environment Lasell is a great choice. Class sizes are relatively small and students really get to know their professors. I am currently a junior at Lasell College. I am a Journalism and Media Writing major. This school has become a home away from home. I have had great classes and professors. I have several professors who have become mentors to me. They go out of their way to help me with academic related material but also allow me to walk into their offices to chat with them about life. Care has gone down in a massive way in past year or so. PT /OT/SPEECH are good. No urine smell like other places, folks seem happy with the food. Very, very poor communication and follow through. Patients admitted like a robot, no orientation at all to anything. I'm not sure what the social worker does but answer questions, make necessary referrals or return calls does not seem to be what she does. There is a lovely balcony that patients can sometimes go out on with supervision. The floor is very, very loud especially with staff, alarms, call bells and pages. The only place to be other than your room is a crowded loud multi purpose room where patients may be taken to watch television or eat. read more

I recent went to Lasell House, the rehab part of Lasell Village, to recover from knee replacement surgery. They took very good care of me . I was there for 10 days. The physical therapists are thorough, kind and firm. The food is good and the people who worked there obviously liked their jobs. If I need the other knee replaced I will return there. read more

I can't rave enough about my 18 day inpatient stay at Lasell House. I have been a previous patient at the region's premier rehab facility and in my opinion, Lasell is it's equal in both quality and service, albeit on a much, much smaller scale. The most important components, it's physical therapy staff and well equipped gym are outstanding. You can expect the staff to challenge you with a firm, but understanding nudge so that you experience steady progress. The support staff, nurses, aides and doctors are also top shelf...you won't find any place better. Oh, and did I mention the food? That's another surprise...you have to experience it to appreciate how extraordinary it is! I would not hesitate to return there should I ever need their services again. read more

If we could submit a review with zero stars we would have. The lack of service this rehabilitation center provides is borderline criminal. Our mother went there in early Septemeber to rehab from a fall. There were no broken bones, but she did need physical therapy to regain some strength. While there, the nurses changed medication without consulting our family. Additionally they STOPPED giving her the prescribed antidepressant. After several days without administering it they "caught" their error and decided to give her HALF her dose. Let me repeat: with no tapering off or authorization they stopped her antidepressant, caught their mistake and started giving it at half the dose!! While this is horrific, they NEVER mentioned these mistakes to us until she was discharged. They provided no help in self care. Our mother was FILTHY during her stay. She had dirt under her fingernails and greasy hair. We asked repeatedly for help with bathing and they let days turn into weeks without bathing her. Their negligence is further supported by the fact that she developed a bed sore while under their care!! Did they notice this?? No! So not only did they provide sub human care for her, they failed to see their level of incompetence. If you care at all about your family members, DO NOT allow them to go to Lasell Village. They will not receive appropriate care. They are negligent and uncornered about their patients. read more

Some of the staff is exceptional (physical rehab) and some do as little as humanly possible to assist patients and families (nurse manager, e.g.). Unfortunately, they seem to be short-staffed, with non-mobile patients having to wait 45 minutes to be brought to the bathroom. I would not suggest this facility for geriatric patients or for those with cognitive impairments who can not advocate for themselves. Although they are listed as having psychiatric services, a psychiatrist comes in once a week and if the patient arrives after the weekly visit (even if the psychiatrist is out on vacation the next week), the patient is out of luck. The social worker we dealt with does not know the meaning of person-centered care and used the care team meeting to announce its conclusion, not engage the patient in care planning. In fact, she seemed annoyed at attempts to do so. Aides vary in quality as well. There is little understanding of how to engage patients in recovery and a top down attitude pervades the establishment, sometimes resulting in downright rudeness to care recipients. The facility itself is clean and well kept. The food is very good. read more
