For a guy who doesn't often go to the beauty salon it can be quite daunting but the staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly. After brief discussion with the therapist I was instantly put at ease about the spray tan. The process was quick and painless and I didn't need to do much work other then stand there and get sprayed. The experience was pleasant and not too messy. I left the room satisfied and if I need a tan again would consider these guys.

Always try to go to a place that does scalp massage as part of your facial. In terms of treatments, I usually go for the signature facial for 60min but you can get other treatments complementing your facial, or body treatments, laser, spray tan, waxing, the works. The only drawback for Escape is the price. Not cheap, but then I've been around the traps and all of them ain't cheap these days. This place is reputable, been around for a while and the treatments are designed to be super relaxing. Highly recommend.

They are really overpriced and don't provide a good service. They don't offer EMLA cream in the treatments - you have to go out and buy it yourself from a chemist if you want it. For a clinic that charges twice what other places do, you would think they would include it in the price, but they don't because they are rubbish. Same with dressings - they might sticky tape cotton pads to your skin after your treatment (but don't count on it - at times I had to specifically ask for something to cover my skin which was bleeding). If you want proper dressings and medical tape you will need to purchase them yourself from a chemist. They also do not cleanse the area before treating it. You are expected to clean your own skin with the products in the treatment room, or request a practitioner assist you. I now go to True Skin Laser Clinic on Liverpool St. They use the exact same Q-switch laser, and the staff are a lot more qualified (they are nurses). Their treatments are better and the cost is less than 50% of what City Laser clinic will charge you (and True Skin includes numbing cream, cleansing, post-treatment balm and proper dressings.) Oh - and if you try to pay with a card (not cash) City Laser Clinic will charge you a 3% surcharge. Just the cherry on top.

Located right beside the Dymocks book store on George St. I was greeted by the receptionist and was asked to fill out a form as I had not been here before. Form took a total of 3 mins to fill out. My appointment was for 11.45am and I was told it wouldn't be too long a wait. Shannon came out after I had finished filling out said form and showed me to a room. She was very helpful and pleasant as it was my first visit. The session took a total of 10 mins and Shannon explained the whole process before and during the appointment. Very professional. I was happy with the laser hair removal sessions with my normal beautician until my last one. My normal beautician wasn't working that day so they assigned me a new one (with the owner coming to help after). They pushed so hard to sell their services, which I'm fine with and I actually bought a lash lift session, paid on the spot and went to the appointment the next day. First of all, I was told tinting came along with the package when I paid. My hair is black. I don't need a tint, but I certainly don't mind it if its free. Secondly, their shop was busy that day and they left the solution on my lashes for too long till my lower lash curled hideously!! After the treatment, I went out to say thank you and goodbye. Guess what, the owner ASKED for money PLUS the tint. It took me 3 minutes to "refresh" her memory that I've paid the day BEFORE, and I even asked if that was it (as in are we done, don't I need a receipt etc) after money was changed hands and they said yes, I can leave. I figured its only the next day and it shouldn't be any problem but they asked me for a receipt of payment. Like WTF. She hesitantly agreed I've paid but still insist on me paying for the tint that I do not need. I prepaid so that I don't have to bring money around all the time, so I didn't have any then and she sarcastically said its my "Christmas present" with some racist slurs and stares like WTF. I had a skin…read moreconsultation with one of their senior skin consultants and was convinced I needed their Sebaceous Gland Ablation (SGA) prior to getting any micro needling. Their theory behind selling me the SGA (I did not go in for this) was to remove all "rogue" sebaceous glands that cause breakouts prior to smoothing my skin. Sounded good, despite my skepticism (We have countless sebaceous glands which can become infected at any time, its impossible to extinguish them all.) I asked if there was any downtime and I emphasized I would have to do the procedure later if there was, due to, a busy week with family parties and visitors. She said there would be NO downtime and reassured me my skin would look BETTER "instantly" after the procedure and I could attend my family's party a few hours later, "looking fab". I mentioned to the consultant (again) that breaking out wasn't my main concern and my skin was highly sensitive and reactive. She reassured me my skin would look amazing and up sold me the procedure. I was convinced by her confidence and perceived knowledge of skincare. She asked me to trust her and said she will have my skin perfect in no time. So I went along with her recommendation. I did the procedure and once it was done, I was horrified. My skin was red and swollen. I looked like I had cystic acne. I was told it would calm down. They tried to apply some redness reducing cream and makeup but it didn't help. I was on the verge of tears. Hours later, my skin was getting worse. I could not attend our family party and then the nightmare started. For the next week, my skin became even worse. I had small burn marks on every pore treated (pretty much my whole face) and they started to become even more red, raised and infected. I spoke with the head office customer service, the manager of the clinic told me to come in for red light therapy. I did, nothing helped. I've tried calling again and the manager will not return my calls. Customer service was also rude and not helpful. My skin is now scarred with worse hyper pigmentation than when I went in. I will have to spend even more money to fix it. So I basically paid nearly $300.00 to have my face ruined. According to Clearskin clinics this is not a typical reaction, however, I was completely misled and would have never done the procedure if there was a risk for what I'm going through. The first 5 sessions have been not painful. However, my last 6th session was hurtful. I don't know why, but maybe that particular lady (usually I had another person treating me) got the settings wrong. I mentioned to her that it feels unusual very painful, but she believed I was wrong. On the following 2nd/ 3td day, some small areas of my skin (at my sack) turned black, fell off and creating a moist wound. It is itching but healing now, ... I guess. (And no, I never had a skin infection anything like this before, nor can I imagine any other possible causes for this.) It is possible understandable that I am not all too happy about this. To avoid infections, I have to cancel my swimming until my skin is healed again. In general the ladies there are really nice and probably good in what they do. And even so this company has relatively lowe prizes in Sydney, I decided to get my last treatments somewhere else. (I have not decided wher, so can't give any recommendations.)
