The service here was great. The shop is really clean and the workers are super friendly. When I was making my appointment they didn't have the time I wanted but they were super accommodating once I called. I'm going to start by saying I never leave reviews but I had to in this case. I went in for lash lift & brow lamination on Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning I had a horrible reaction in my eyes to the point I was waking up in my sleep every hour to wipe the tears and crust out my eyes. They were completely swollen and red that I ended up at Urgent Care. I did notice the tint was not cleaned off properly and there was residue on my lids but since you're not allowed to wet them for 24 hrs I left it alone. When I reached out to them to tell them about my reaction they basically gaslit me by saying that if my reaction was from the chemicals it would have happened within 5-10 min of my services and that the next time I come in they will do a patch test. I'm sorry but who in there right mind would go back to do a patch test after this scary incident?? A more appropriate response would be to offer a refund for my service or to empathetically ask if I was ok even. Also want to call out that I regularly receive this service at BeSpoke brows for at least the past year and have NEVER had this issue. I only came here this time because they had a promo for lash lift. One other thing to also point out, is that when I was about to leave the salon they apparently rang me up wrong according to the other person in the salon and followed me to the elevator banks after I had visited the bathroom for an extra $5.. lol. And I've also had a friend that they wrote to her that she didn't leave a big enough tip. They clearly don't do well with customer service. Stay away. read more

I LOVE Isabel (and all the staff!) at Lash Lift NYC. The studio is very clean and relaxing, and every staff member is really knowledgeable on the proper care for your lashes. I have been getting my lashes lifted here every ~2 months for the last 3 years, and they are longer and healthier than they ever have been and I am always very happy with how they look. My lashes grow straight out instead of up and it's always bothered me, and I spent years using eyelash curler. Since coming here I haven't touched a lash curler. This was my first experience getting a lash lift and tint and I think the pictures speak for themselves! It worked! I went in and they take this process seriously. Someone assessed my lashes, another started the procedure and in between they massages my feet! What more do I have to say! The treatment last a little over an hour. I actually fell asleep. When I was done they were genuinely happy that I had great results! The treatment lasts 3-4 months. They had a mascara that's semi permanent that lasts 3 weeks that I may go back for! Don't come to this place if you are Asian and with straight eye lashes! It's worthless and a waste of money! Was very excited to get my lashes lifted as I'm going to a trip and hoping that I do not need to do eye makeup. However, there's literally no difference a night later! I spent $80 on this thing and it has no difference! I have pretty long eyelashes as an Asian and had tried regular perm lash before and wanted to see the difference between lash lift (keratin) vs perm. I hate to say I didn't see an obvious or better result on keratin lash lift. The second half of my lash didn't get lifted up. It also looked uneven between both eyes...I'm quite disappointed comparing with the result and price...I should have known about this right from the beginning...because I saw a group of girls asking for a refund as they were not satisfied with the results...I just decided to give it a try since I was there already... They also offered a 10mins complimentary massage, which is very mediocre. The girl didn't use any strength... It was more like a baby tapping on your legs... At last, the staff would ask you to purchase the a tiny bottle of keratin oil for $10. I didn't purchase it because I felt like I could get it cheaper on amazon... Anyways, the place is clean and cash only. But I wouldn't recommend to any Asian friends out there. read more

Decent experience here but 4-5 days later I can see the lashes at the edges of my eyes are falling already. If you are Asian and have thin, fine, and stiff lashes, a lash curl is not for you and I'm here to tell you not to bother. Go ahead and get extensions instead. If you curl your lashes yourself and they have a hard time staying lifted, consider what I'm saying!! That aside, I had a good experience and I understand that my lashes are difficult to work with. It was worth a shot. That's why i gave it 4 stars. However during the experience a male and female switched off with the treatment. Because my eyes are shut and I cannot see, it would have been nice to be given a heads up who is touching my eyes. The male was much gentler than the female and I could tell it was someone else treating my eyelashes Edit: I appreciate that the staff suggested I do not do the lash tint as well. They could have easily done it and profited more from my service but they recommended to just do the lash lift, without tint. read more

I'll start off by saying I am an avid yelper who loves to help the community and I get lash lifts all the time (usually 1 every 2 months) and have truly never had a worse experience. I also hate reviewing places and giving bad reviews because I understand their reputation matters so I take this seriously. I came in and the woman who did my lashes (A Mendez (I don't know her first name)) was shouting at me to make my eyes stop moving. If you've had lash lifts before you know that your eyes just move on their own and I was trying so hard to relax my eyes but there's only so much I can do. When I kept saying "i'm so sorry i'm trying!" and "i swear im really trying to relax my eyes i can't help it" she kept getting frustrated and angry with me (grunting in my face) said "If you don't stop you're not getting your lashes done" and then she up and left once another woman finally came over and grabbed my hand and said "i understand i'm so sorry" because you could tell in my voice i was about to cry. i was shaking scared the entire time because she was so rude and i certainly will not be returning and hope nobody has to experience what i did. she finally finished the job but kept getting angry with me the whole time and never once apologized and truly acted as if i was such an awful person for not being able to control my eyes. so unprofessional, so rude, and not just as an employee but as a person. they also randomly only decided to take cash or venmo or zelle which is quite concerning read more

Making an appointment here is easy. As someone who often doesn't have an opportunity to call, being able to send a message to make an appointment through the Yelp app is super helpful. They are located in k-town and you do have to enter one of the commercial buildings there to get to their salon. However I quite like the service here and have referred 3 different friends to Lash Lift that all have had positive experiences. I have already been there twice and will be going back for my 3rd service in a few weeks. For those new to lash lifting, I highly recommend this treatment. Especially if you are like me: have straight lashes and are terrified for lash extensions because your natural lashes will fall out over time. Extensions also will dry out your lashes and make them brittle over time with continued use. I love the results but the long term effects are just not worth it for me. I have very straight Asian lashes. They do not hold a curl well alone, even with mascara. What I love about lash lifting is it makes my eyes look perkier and more awake without any make up on. Since started to get my lash lift I rarely wear mascara. The lift itself will last 6-8 weeks. Obviously this varies from person to person. I tend to opt for a keratin treatment that I can apply at home in addition to my lift treatment to help keep my lashes well conditioned. Lash lifts will not change the volume in your lashes. You are working with what you have. But know you can follow your normal routine after 24-hours of service. For me I use mascara to help with volume when I'm looking for a bit more drama in my look and I've found that is enough for me. read more

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a lash lift. It was so much faster than extensions and I really liked the result. That being said, I still have really short eyelashes, and although they are lifted, they didn't really make much of a difference to my eyes. It does make putting on mascara a little more effective though, and you probably won't get smudges on your lower eye lid anymore. I'd def try it once to see if it suits you. It is supposed to last 6 - 8 weeks, and I am at the end of week 1 and so far it is holding up (pun intended) I'll update once I get to the final stretch. read more

They do such a thorough job lifting each lash and as a reformed fake eyelash wearer I love that it's allowed me to grow out my natural lashes again and they are super healthy and perky! What an awesome experience. My sister and I had appointments today 4/13/2018 @ 2:00. They were so polite and welcoming. We didn't have to wait ( some places say 2 o'clock but it ends up being later) ,got us comfy ( shoes off!!) and laid down to get our lashes done. We got the lift and tint and I'm telling you the time flew! The body massage in between the eye-treatment was a plus and a surprise! I came here for a keratin lash lift for the first time a few days ago and had to wait even though I made an appointment prior. The woman who was doing my lashes also kept working between clients. It was way longer than a usual lash appointment. The main reason I'm giving one stat though is because the lash tech dropped a tool on my nose while doing my lashes. It REALLY hurt. She apologized and gave me a short leg massage, so I was still nice enough to leave a tip. The next day however , I saw that my nose was bruised. The lashes were not good enough for me to not be upset. In fact , they're not really that good at all. This picture is literally 6 days after and it looked like this since day 1. They have barely any curl! And it's not that I have short lashes because I don't. Every other place I've been to does a fine job. Save your time and money & go somewhere else! read more

Terrible experience, about as bad as it gets. I purchased an eyelash perm and tint, this was my very first time. The technician burned my eyelids, I have pictures of the burn spots near my lash line. I complained during the service of the burning feeling but the technician assured me it was fine. At the end of the service, my eyes were sore and red. Again, the technician assured me this was normal and it would go away in a few hours. After a couple of days, it was clear that the red spots were burns. I called and spoke with the owner, and sent him pictures of the burn areas. Although he had to concede it was burns, he was very rude about it. He tried to claim that it was something I did, and perhaps something else that caused the (very obvious) burn spots. After a lengthy discussion (where he tried to get me to return for a discounted price), he offered a PARTIAL refund. Yeah, no thanks. So frustrating, disappointing and unprofessional. I've reported this to the Better Business Bureau and am leaving this review to warn others. read more

My lash technician was very gentle and had such a calm demeanor that I actually fell asleep while I was getting my lash lift - that's how relaxed I was. Had my appointment here a few weeks ago while I was in town visiting my sister. I really enjoyed the environment and the service. As it turns out, I have very dry and stiff eye lashes that didn't respond well to the treatment. Yulia and the receptionist working asked that I come back in a week for a free touch up because they didn't achieve the lift that they wanted and were super distraught when I told them that I wouldn't be in NYC by then. I didn't mind that the treatment didn't work that well on my lashes (you live and learn and now I know to moisturize my lashes before a lash lift appointment) but they were very disappointed and felt my lift didn't meet their standard so they sent me home with a free keratin treatment. This is my favorite place to get a lash perm. Even when I was traveling and couldn't come back to NY for a perm, I would find myself always comparing new places to Lash Lift NYC. I've been coming here for 3 years and have never had a problem. The technicians and owner are so friendly, it's always so clean, and I always am so relaxed there that I usually doze off during my perm. Also- they genuinely care about the integrity of your lashes and I see that they always go out of their way to tell you how to maintain them so they continue to grow despite getting frequent perm treatments! I am updating my review from 2 stars to 5 stars. I originally posted about my results being less than I expected, especially on my right eye lashes. However, I was immediately contacted by Lash Lift and offered a complimentary follow up. I asked to be seen my a different esthetician and made an appointment with Jina. I can't speak highly enough about how sweet, knowledgeable, and professional she was! She explained to me what went wrong and gave me tips on how to treat my lashes in order to maintain optimal results (i.e. do not use eyelash curler and apply more keratin to my right side since it's naturally dryer). Now my lashes look even and both are super long :) They didn't charge me as promised, but of course I left a nice tip for Jina due to the wonderful service. I wish I was given more info about my lashes and how to care for them the first time around, but am very impressed at how kind and fast they were to remediate the situation.
