They charge clients who cancel last minute, but should a lash tech cancel, the person's SOL. I've been doing my part in scheduling regular visits for the upkeep of the lashes. If you can't fulfill these appointments, I shouldn't be expected to pay more for a fill or for a new set because more time has gone by and more lashes have been lost. Being a good business owner/lash tech means knowing how to be savvy, not picking and choosing when you do and don't want to work. Be mindful of your client's time. Without them, you wouldn't have a job.

I decided to check out the mall afterwards, which ended up being several hours. I saw this Sephora, so I dropped by to pick up my gift and browse. It's set up like your typical Sephora store. I used to visit Sephora far more often when it had its own Formula X nail polish. I loved it. It was long-lasting with a ton of colours to choose from. Sadly, the line got discontinued and it meant that I stopped shopping here. I do like lip care. I tend to get the moisturizing lip balms. They last a while, so you don't see me picking them up every couple of months. I've been into products that diminish dark spots and brighten your skin as of late. I have a few spots on my face that need help. Caudalie has a line of creams that interested me. I got a birth month kit a few years ago and I liked the products that I got to use. I also saw this jet lag overnight cream. Is it a gimmick? I travel and jet lag can be an issue when I'm travelling longer distances. Slathering on overnight cream isn't my first thought when I'm jet-lagged or want to prevent it. I just was sleep if I'm exhausted or am trying to adjust to the current time in whatever city I'm in. The woman who helped me at the payment counter was extremely nice. She asked for my phone number associated with my Beauty Insider points. She found me in the system and immediately noted that I could choose my birthday gift. She walked me through the options. I chose the Youth to the People gift. It had a cleanser, moisturizer, and dream mask. It has Sephora's clean and planet positivity seal of approval. I also got a cherry vanilla lip sleeping mask. It was something different to try out. I paid with a credit card. All went well. She placed my gift and lip mask in a small Sephora bag with handles. I thanked her and happily left with my goodies. I like the Youth to the People set. The cleanser came in a glass bottle. It leaves my skin extremely clean and cuts through my skin's natural abundance of oil. The moisture cream and dream mask hydrate my skin a lot better than most products, without irritating my skin or clogging my pores. It's a great line and I'm always happy to discover new products that work for me. The lip mask is pretty cool. It allows my lips to hydrate overnight when I'm not eating or talking. I don't use it every night because my lips aren't dry in the summer, but I can see my using it more in the winter. I had a positive experience at this store. She was so helpful and took her time helping us find the right concealer and foundation. She was so friendly and made sure we were happy with the product. They even allowed us to walk out into the sun to make sure the color matched perfectly (with my un-purchased bag of stuff too - oops!) After a long while I was ready to leave and was told I didn't need the flip flops. I get to my house and toes were destroyed by my shoes. I had asked for flips! They don't know what their doing. Was told they were calling the police if I showed up for refund. I told them to call them, because the police have nothing better to do than to go check on my toes. They said they would fix it for me but why would I go there again? Rude and dishonest. They make it sound like only their time is valuable but I wasted 1.5 hours in there of time I don't have and ended up with ugly nail polish. Don't waste your time.

The nail techs are welcoming, kind, funny and keep you entertained while you get your nails done and the whole vibe and design of the salon is edgy and everything you want in a nail salon. The first time I went, Azel did my cover gel nails and they turned out beautifully and stayed on for 5 weeks until I got a new set! The second time I went, Leah also put cover gels on me and she was able to do the cutest design ever! The second set lasted for 7.5 weeks until the first nail fell off (I wanted to see how long they would last and WOW). Everything considered, this is by far the best nail salon ive ever have gone to and is the only nail salon I will recommend!

I was reminded that July was my birth month and I needed to pick up my free gift. I probably drop by Sephora a couple of times a year. It's usually in July for my gift. I do drop by to browse here and there. My favourite section is by the checkout. There are smaller, almost travel-sized items. I like to try the smaller sizes first. If I like them, I'll get the larger versions next time. If I dislike them, you'll never see me get it again. I am a fan of lip balm. I didn't need any, but I always like to see if there are any new varieties. I do miss Formula X, Sephora's own nail polish. It decided to scrap the line roughly a decade ago. I loved it, as the polish endured and the colours were awesome. It explains why I don't drop by any Sephora store as much as I used to. I found a small bottle of watermelon toner. I love watermelon. I am always using toner. I went ahead and picked up a bottle. At the checkout, I got the nicest woman. She asked for my phone number associated with my Beauty Insider account. She found me and wished me a happy birthday. She asked me when my birthday was. I said that it was tomorrow. She seemed so elated that I came into the store a day before it. She let me know what perks I could get. I ended up getting the Summer Fridays set. The jet lag mask was intriguing. I paid for my toner with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She asked if I needed a bag. I declined, as I had a large one with me from Hot Topic. I thanked her and left the store. I continued to shop before I called it a day. When I got to the hotel, I tried the Summer Fridays lip butter balm. Wow! It glided onto my lips effortlessly. I loved the scent and how buttery it was. My lips felt so good when I woke up after applying the balm before I went to bed. The jet lag mask was cool. I treated it as a moisturizer. You use a thin layer of it on your face. Let it sit there for at least ten minutes and and wipe it off when you apply it for the first time. I didn't experience an allergy reaction, but you could. When you're fine having it on you face, you can leave it on to hydrate it before you go to bed. It's nice. The watermelon toner is excellent. I love the scent. It's effective removing impurities from my face at the end of the day. I have oily skin and I feel that it soothes my face as I use it. I'd get the larger bottle once I'm done with my current one.
