Not only is he incredibly skilled and knowledgeable about his craft, he is a genuinely nice and down-to-earth individual who makes sure that your experience from start to finish is memorable and fun. Rod is a joy to work with and he can make anyone laugh and feel at ease. For example, when my 70+ year old grandma from Vietnam came to visit, we decided that we should celebrate her and my dad's first reunion in over 20 years with photos. To preface all this, I'd like to note a couple things: 1) my family has never really sat down for family portraits, 2) my grandma knows at most 10 words in English, and 3) we thought we were just going to take a simple picture and that would be it. We were blown away at our session with Rod. He worked with all of us, encouraging us into poses that best fit our personalities, without even knowing us all that much. He even got my grandma to laugh! To this day, though she is back in Vietnam now, she still cherishes the portraits that Rod took of our family. Of course, the photographs and the prints that Evans Gallery makes are top notch, but I would argue that they are bonuses in addition to the exceptional service and experience that Rod provides. I would strongly encourage any one who is looking for one-of-a-kind photographic art and an experience to remember to give Rod a call. Come for the photos, stay for the experience!

In addition to taking the work off my shoulders by making perfect design decisions, Lucy was a god-send on event day. I have a lot of event planning experience, and it is incredibly rare that a vendor shows up and just does their job. Generally, everyone asks a million questions and needs a lot of direction. Lucy, however, arrived with a smile on her face and JUST GOT TO WORK. On event day, there is nothing better than a helper who just takes initiative. It is beyond clear to me that Lucy is a very experienced professional in her field. I used All City Pet Care West for an in-home euthanasia for my dog, Grace. The vet was kind, and I…read moreappreciate that this service exists, but overall I was very disappointed. Grace had a very distressing reaction to the sedative. She yelped, fought it, and ran, and it lasted several minutes. During this, there was no reassurance from the vet that this was normal, that Grace was okay, or that she was not in pain. I was left panicking and confused in the middle of saying goodbye. Afterward, I had to Google what was happening and why she reacted that way, which no grieving pet owner should have to do. Grace was a very muscular pit bull, and I later learned this reaction is common in muscular bully breeds because sedation can affect them unevenly due to muscle mass and metabolism. This should have been explained to me beforehand. I also called several times the week before and specifically asked that someone come with the vet to help carry Grace to the car afterward. I was assured this would be provided, but no one came. I had to lift her onto the stretcher and carry her to the car myself, which was extremely difficult emotionally. Additionally, I was told that I would receive Grace's nose print. The vet said it would be ready when I picked up her ashes. When I picked up her ashes, I was told the nose print would be mailed to me. I still have not received it. For the cost, I expected better communication, more reassurance during a chaotic moment, and follow-through on what I was told would be provided.

We were traveling in the area in our RV (We live on the west coast). We decided to stay nearby an additional day and they offered to keep our dog... AT NO CHARGE.... until the next afternoon so we could see the area. I can't even start to tell you how well the doctor and staff treated us.... Even though we very likely would never be back.
