The sale stuff is excellent - you can always tell a good shop by how their sale stuff is hung. It's not shoved at the back of the shop like you usually find. In fact, it's just a pleasant surprise that you notice on the tag that the amazing dress at the front of the shop is half price. Brilliant. The staff are friendly. I was the only person in the shop yesterday and usually I HATE that. I feel compelled to buy stuff - you can't browse and hide if no one else is in there. Especially in expensive boutiques. The dresses are great - not cut to my exact tastes though which is why I came out empty handed. Their jackets are cut very well and very 'officey' - shame I wear jeans to the office now or I'd have come out with three. I think if I keep popping back I'll find some great stuff in here. Lots of floaty silk stuff. Wedding perfect. Dresses usually about £200 are about £60 in the sale right now. Bargain. Oh, and if the staff are reading this, if you could reduce that amazing gorgeous long silk dress I spotted, I'd appreciate it. Ta very much.

Everything they sell is hand picked, so you know there aren't going to be rails of dubious looking stock like you find in so many vintage shops nowadays. Happily there's also something for every budget, as they have a discounted section upstairs. The main floor is pricier - but worth it.

I seriously wish that shop was my cupboard... Sparkle and Cad, the owners of the place are uber friendly and all you have to do is ask and they will tell you all about the designers, eras of the items...you'll really feel million dollars to wear a dress which was worn by a Hollywood starlet of a very famous movie sometime in 1956!!! Accessories range from jewellery to shoes, which are all found at the back of the store near the plush velvet curtained changing rooms. Gifts are found at the front of the store and at the till, which include a variety of interesting books, cards, wrapping paper, lights, mugs, piggy banks and other fanciful items. I'm sure you can find a present for almost everyone in your life from this store! Heard that the chain went into administration late last year, but luckily they were bought out as I love this place!

This is a rather handy shop selling unusual clothing at low prices. What stands out for me is the really cool headwear - pieces that you feel as if you would normally have to try and track them down in a vintage shop, not just find them new on a shop's shelf - definitely not your standard accessories in that regard. The shop has the atmosphere of familiarity - as if the regular clients know the owner fairly well and they all have pretty much the same taste. It seems like a really comfortable place for the people that know it and pop in frequently.
