Julie responded within minutes even though it was 8:30 on a Sunday night. After speaking with Julie, her enthusiasm for the project cemented her hire. Responses from the other three trickled in over the next week with "not available" or "no indoor shoots," so I realized I was extremely lucky to get Julie right out of the gate. The logistics of planning a huge birthday party in Florida (from Minnesota) and wrangling twenty family members for a photo shoot ahead of said party plus hiring everyone involved by long distance and hoping it goes as planned the day of were enough to make me start drinking at noon. It's not like I could meet the photographer ahead of time to discuss options, we did it all in a long phone call. And I crossed my fingers. Julie showed up right on time and had even scouted out a place in front of our beach condos where we could get Mom's wheelchair and still have a pretty background, especially for the smaller groups. Julie was so fast, so facile, she snapped and snapped each and every requested combo and even suggested a few more. She got the little ones to smile, everyone looking at the camera, and did it all in under forty minutes! Then we moved inside (HELLO AIR CONDITIONING!) and she snapped candid party pictures until time for food. Because no one wants pictures of themselves eating BBQ, amirite? She was just amazing. We took a few more posed shots and then she left us to enjoy the party. The following day she sent me a quick preview of just two of the photos. The hundreds she took will be culled, edited, curated, and available in a couple of weeks. I appreciate that she will provide links so we can print the ones we want OR order prints through her! I'll update the review when I have more photos, but for now enjoy these lovely shots of our Mom and our family and my full endorsement of Julie Renner Photography for your photo shoot needs!

Just as the other 50 five star reviews have said- Lauren is a fantastic photographer. My family and I stayed at The Pink Shell Resort at Fort Myers Beach and I came across Lauren's website and knew she would be the perfect photographer for us. She took family pix of my husband and two boys (6 and 3) and myself. Excellent communication and knew all of the tricks to get my boys to pay attention (usually a totally impossibly task). Two of the pictures we ordered of each boy just happened to be ones she shot in their natural element. Her editing skills are phenomenal. I have had pictures taken where they are too overexposed or too airbrushed etc. she does just enough so that you truly see your family and beautiful natural backdrop. time and time again she continues to amaze me. I cheated out with newborn photos and went with someone because they were less expensive, I didn't get what I hoped for and to this day it still makes me feel unbelievably disappointed. Our first session with Lauren was when our little guy was 3 months old, he barely fit into a NB outfit and he was not happy during the session. I envisioned a screaming baby and a distraught mom in every photo - to my surprise she captured so much love and joy in such a short period of time. We have now down 3 of her mini sessions and I am one of her biggest fans. She doesn't capture what you think is picture perfect for a photo (smile and look at the camera). Lauren is amazing! She was super flexible with my original photo date because of Hurricane Ian, and it worked out awesome. She was fast and efficient. We have a 6 month old baby who was teething and cranky that day and Lauren managed to get her to smile. I had a vision she worked perfectly with, and seriously cannot wait to use her again. She got the pictures done and edited within a week which is so fast given she is a full-time mom, homeschooler and photographer! Her prices are so reasonable. I don't know how Lauren does it, but she continues to get incredible photos of my family, no matter how many babies we throw at her or how crazy they are feeling. What feels like a chaotic, sweaty, messy hour..turns into 40 well-focused, beautiful shots.
