Dr. Webb and Atlas Orthogonal is the BEST! I have had terrible experiences with chiropractors over the last 10+ years. The idea that you can fix a trauma with a trauma is just fool hardy. Atlas Orthogonal and Dr. Webb "adjusted" what I thought was possible with chiropractic care. She is an insightful and caring doctor and has managed to do in just a under 2 months what no chiropractor or back specialist was able to do in years. How much do you value your spine, your body and your health? I value mine quite a bit, and I am leery of trusting just anyone to take care of me. And I trust and value Dr. Lauri Webb. Seriously, I now take a half a day off of work in Olympia (yes, I work in Olympia!) to drive up to see Dr. Webb (now) in Seattle. I have been a patient of her's since she started to practice in Washington. Prior to Dr. Webb, I would get severe spring colds that would knock me out of commission for at least 3 days. 4 years later, I have yet to have one again. When I am in severe pain, my atlas is out or even if my muscles just hurt, I see Dr. Webb and it is like a Clariton commercial. I walk in fuzzy, unfocused and tense. An adjustment here, several clicks here and literally, you can see me "sharpen", the relief is instantaneous. I am amazed at the relief every time, even after 4 years of care. She takes care of not just my spine, but she takes care of *ME*. From my joints, my muscles, even my sinuses! Today I was a mess. I mean a REAL mess, from my head, to my shoulders, to my elbows, my spine, my hips.. it was ugly. To add to it, I had a severe ear infection. After the magic of AO and the activator, I asked her about the ear. She informed me that the AO adjustment would actually help getting the ear on track for healing. Not even 30 minutes after leaving her office (for a 2 1/2 drive home mind you!), I could feel something changing in my ear. I could hear more, sounds were sharper. Dr. Webb is fantastic - she changed my view of chiropractors. I had been a long-time skeptic since my mom had some negative experiences with chiropractors a while ago. After sustaining a back injury, however, my massage therapist recommended that I see a chiropractor because something felt misaligned. I was already an acupuncture patient at Revive Wellness Center, so I (reluctantly) made an appointment with Dr. Webb. Her warm, friendly manner put me at ease immediately, and she took a lot of time to explain how AO practice is different than "traditional" chiropractic medicine. I am glad I took the leap; Dr. Webb found that I had been walking around for years with a misaligned atlas that had torqued my ribcage and was causing a number of problems elsewhere. Through a series of painless, comfortable treatments, she corrected the misalignment and my back injury. I began seeing Dr. Webb a couple of years ago for a whiplash injury that had been compounded by 2 accidents. At the time, my upper neck pain was worsening despite years of intense treatment that included standard chiropractic, PT, and massage. I was starting to get worried that, at 30 years old, my career in nursing was going to be over, and I was going to have to live the rest of my life in pain. In comes Dr. Webb - her extensive xrays identified a very painful upper neck misalignment that my other chiropractors had missed, as well as a severe ligament injury that was healing poorly. Within seconds of the very first painless, low force, adjustment, I could feel blood rushing back into the right side of my neck, that had been in such severe pain. Over the following weeks and months, the severe inflammation began to subside, my headaches went away, and I felt as if someone had given me a new neck. My ligaments have returned almost to normal, and I am now working as an ER nurse and can pull 12 hour shifts with minimal pain. I have been seeing chiropractors for the last 18 years, as a way to deal with chronic headaches, that at one point put me in the ER once every two weeks. I have been treated by 5 chiropractors, other than Dr. Webb. I was referred to Dr. Webb by a new Neurologist I was seeing that specializes in treatment of headaches. When I told him that I already had a chiropractor I liked, he said no...I am not referring you to A chiropractor, I am referring you to THIS chiropractor. I have never had a doctor refer me to a chiropractor, they have always just wanted to drug me! The first time I went to see her, I was so used to my VERY manual adjustments in the past, that her gentle technique felt almost like I was being cheated. I thought, no way is this going to fix ME. My other chiropractor twisted my neck so hard the receptionist could hear me being adjusted. I left there feeling like nothing happened, the machine used to adjust your atlas feels like someone barely touching you. After about two hours I literally felt like I was hit by a bus! I was so sore from the first adjustment that I was in total shock! That gentle adjustment kicked my butt! The next day, after lots of ice, I felt great! Just to be clear, I haven't ever felt like I was hit by a bus again...that was just my out of wack body's reaction to that first adjustment. Now Dr. Webb is able to keep me in great shape. She is amazing, kind, great with my kids (who also see her), and just a genuinely good person. I've been training for a triathlon since November and recently injured by right shoulder via swimming. I had a friend who recommended Lauri and I was desperate for some relief yesterday (Saturday) and was thrilled to find out she could see me. WOW! I was not disappointed! First, my wife saw incredible results when seeing Dr. Lauri and now I can say that I'm a believer. I have been a regular patient of chiropractors for a long while, first time because of a car accident I had over 20 years ago. For the past ten years I have been visiting "traditional" chiropractors whereas I get adjusted every month or so to maintain the alignment of my spine which was fine but at about 3 weeks after each adjustment my body felt I needed and was ready for the next adjustment. After my first visit with Dr. Lauri, I was very skeptical because she did not do the typical pretzel moves on me and I did not hear any "cracking of my bones." I left the first visit thinking "well this was a waste of time." I woke up the next morning after my adjustment with Dr. Lauri feeling much more rested but I didn't put two and two together. The following few days I was still feeling more rested when I got up from sleep and then I was finally able to get in a long bicycle ride on a Saturday. I immediately felt much more relaxed on my ride, I felt and was stronger on my climbs and most importantly I was not having any pain in my neck, shoulders and knee. You see, I had been diagnosed with a 3/4 inch shorter left leg, so for the last 20 years I have compensated for my "short" leg by riding with the bike leaned slightly to the right. This had been progressively getting worse each year and in my last two years of doing the Seattle to Portland ride, I noticed I was leaned way over because I was able to see the whole left side of the bottom bracket when I looked down past the top tube. Well, that has all changed now and guess what? I don't have a short leg, only a tilted atlas! I notice and find small improvements in my balance and health almost weekly. My spine for the most part has stayed in alignment since my first visits with Dr. Lauri, needing only slight adjustments to my atlas. I can't thank Dr Lauri enough for giving me a higher quality of living back...I had originally thought and had accepted the false data that aches and pains were part of getting old. I started care with Dr. Webb for pain I have been experiencing in my right ankle, hip and wrist for several years. After learning about AO chiropractic from a friend I made an appointment with Dr. Webb. The first appointment was great- Dr. Webb listened closely to my symptoms and took a lot of care in explaining how the misalignment in my neck was contributing to systemic problems.
