I was induced on my due day, and it really made me so much more confident when I saw Dr. Leung right before the induction, and she showed up as soon as I got into active labor which was in the middle of the night! I really wouldn't be able to deliver the baby so smoothly and has a healthy baby without her help. Dr. Beair also very kind to me during the couple weeks when Dr. Leung was out of office. Throughout my pregnancy, I also saw Dr. Beair when Dr. Leung was unavailable, and I always felt well cared for by the entire team. Dr. Leung was always reassuring whenever I had concerns and took the time to sit down with me and explain everything step by step. She never made me feel rushed and always made sure my questions were answered. I felt well taken care of throughout my pregnancy, labor & delivery, and postpartum period. I'm especially grateful to her for helping bring our healthy baby girl into this world after so much longing and anticipation. I also appreciated the excellent care I received during my C-section and recovery, my incision healed beautifully and looks great. I'll miss seeing Dr. Leung and the team so often. I'm very grateful for the care, support, and compassion I've received from everyone over the years. I would absolutely trust Dr. Leung with any future pregnancies and all of my gynecologic care, and I look forward to seeing her again when the time comes.

I…read morehave had my share of different OB-GYNs, another of which delivered my first child, but I never felt like the connection was quite right. With Dr. Beair, I felt so at ease from the very beginning. My first labor and delivery, I suffered many different, and at the time, unknown medical complications. So I was ridden with anxiety with my 2nd pregnancy. Dr. Benton Chun referred me to Dr. Beair after a successful frozen embryo transfer at IVF Hawaii, promising me that I would be in the Best hands. He was right. If you know anything about the seasoned Dr. Chun, you know he doesn't say this about just anyone. At the initial visit, it was clear she had studied my chart and already knew my history. I recall apologizing to her that I was a complicated case and she said, "Don't worry, TOGETHER we will make sure you and baby are healthy". From that visit on, she meticulously took care of me. Unlike other doctors I've worked with, she took the time to know me. I didn't feel like just a number in the office or feel like she was rushing in and out of the room. Her assessments were thorough and she found things early in my 2nd trimester so we were able to adjust/add medications, diet, and activity level. It was also around that time that I had a pregnancy scare and I had a small breakdown during a follow-up visit. I was able to see her compassionate side and feel empathy from her as she comforted me. Dr. Beair stayed true to what she said at the first visit. Together, we were able to better prepare for a healthy baby and delivery. With her expertise and knowledge, she guided me on this journey. She was able to prevent certain things from happening again and for the things that couldn't be prevented due to my health history, she had a clear plan on how to minimize the problems to make sure my baby and I were ultimately safe. I completely recommend Dr. Beair to anyone looking for an intelligent, professional, thorough and WARM HEARTED OB-GYN.

Dr. Beair is professional, knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. I never feel rushed in my appointments, she takes the time to listen to my concerns, answer all of my hundreds of questions, and put my mind at ease. During my pregnancy I had a few scares that required hospital visits. Dr. Beair was calm and reassuring, talking me off the ledge as I was overanalyzing what could go wrong each time. When it came time to delivery day, her knowledge, and calm, cool, and collected demeanor kept my anxious nerves at bay. Her warm bedside manner is just what I needed. Dr. Beair's staff is amazing too. I love going to her office not only to see her, but also her awesome and friendly staff.

This review is for Dr. Lauren Sword. My old OBGYN moved away and all the other providers in the…read moreoffice were booked solid so I decided to try Dr. Sword who had a wide open schedule. I went to see Dr. S for a routine Pap and OBGYN visit, which was quick and no frills. She was nice enough, did the exam and we were done and I was on my way. I paid my co-pay at the office which is their requirement. This is where things get fishy. My HMSA PPO co-pay is $12, they charged me over $22. Yes, there is tax etc. but it still didn't add up. Whatever I paid the co-pay. Background info: I see her mid January and my HMSA PPO insurance coverage is up the end of January. I called HMSA and made sure her visit is covered (it was they said) and the claim was submitted to HMSA. DONE, or so I thought. Fast forward to end of Feb, I get a bill from Dr. Sword for $586. I think WTF? Turns out she reversed my original office visit of 20 minutes to 30 minutes and submitted a new claim Feb 15th. I call HMSA to find out what's going on and since she cancelled my original claim outside of my insurance and resubmitted I now have to pay the full bill. I also called their billing department and talked to Nelvi Antonio, who would not listen and kept talking in circles. She admitted that my original claim with Dr. Sword did go through and when I asked her WHY 3+ weeks later they cancelled and resubmitted a new claim she wouldn't answer and kept talking down to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Terrible service and rude. Nelvi claims that they mistakingly filled me as an existing patient (which I AM) but since it's been years since I came in they must file me as a new patient again. Sure, fine, but it took you 3+ weeks to figure that out? No answer to why you didn't do your job correctly in the first place? No accountability. Shame on you Nelvi for doing an awful job. Do it right from the beginning and learn some customer service. Can't even explain or have any accountability. Very upsetting that weeks after my visit Dr. Sword is now trying to get more money out of insurance. I think that's called FRAUD. Thank you Dr. Sword for messing up my insurance claims and now I'm stuck with a $586 bill that was originally covered via my old insurance. Beware of this office, they try to charge your insurance more and more to get more $$$$$ and then their billing department has no clue and tries to scape goat out of any responsibility. Dr. Sword please fire your billing company, they are doing you a disservice and chasing away clients. I will NOT be back to your office.

She listened to all of my (numerous) issues and made sure to ask all the right follow up questions. She ordered tests that no other ob/gyn before her bothered to order even though my symptoms aren't new. She was also very up to date about the latest options for issues associated with menopause and perimenopause and didn't feed me some old school B.S. about hormone replacement being public enemy #1. The person who gave her a bad review bc of a billing issue really did her dirty! It sounds like they had an issue with the practice's biller, not with Dr. Sword's performance as an employed physician of the practice. When I met her today I was just so shocked someone would ever give her less than 5 stars! She is just the sweetest, kindest, person. Highly recommend!!

My sister who was doula had a run in with Dr Pratt when her patient wanted to adhere to her birth plan and the doctor refused. She had no problem telling my sister off outside in the hall, making sure that my sister knew who the doctor was and who was the doula.. well, what about the mama? Instead she reached out to another doctor, who encouraged me to remove my Yelp Review. I was told that my "job could be in danger." Angela Pratt was more concerned about the Yelp Review than my actual health. I hope this update protects women from having a similar experience as I question her empathy, and now her ethics.

It's so much more than just the basic medical tests. It's the "How are you feeling?" And focus on overall health and wellness without judgment that keeps me coming backs. She offers esthetic services too, which is super convenient. Instead of simply scheduling an appointment, I was asked a long list of questions and told my information would be reviewed by the doctor to decide if she wanted to accept me as a patient. Meanwhile, my insurance website clearly listed her as accepting new patients. When I followed up on June 10th, I was told she decided not to accept me. When I asked if this was normal, I was told yes--that the doctor wants to ensure patients will be "good" and follow directions of care or something to that effect. Somehow, I found myself actually trying to convince the receptionist that I would be a "good patient," which in hindsight feels pretty awful. No one should feel like they have to plead for medical care. I went on to call another doctor the same day and was treated with professionalism and respect--asked basic questions and scheduled immediately. This whole process just felt unnecessary and, frankly, a bit gross.
