I was so pleased that the washing machines had the detergent and fabric softener in them already. Yes, I did not have to buy soap! Perhaps this is a super simple pleasure, but I loved not having to worry about buying soap that I would have had to toss out because I didn't need much. I'm a fan of this laundromat and highly recommend them for any traveler in Madrid.

The Central de Pago machine at Wash & Lock will take you through the steps using a credit card but alas, it defeats you and then you have to go around the corner and get cash from the ATM. The good: It washes. It dries. They have baskets to help when rotating laundry. There is a folding table. Special note: Step 3 on the wall refers you to the cash point machine between washer 4 and 3. On the cash point machine, choose which washer/dryer the clothes are loaded in and then pay. Back on the washer/dryer, push the green off/on button to start the machine.
