I really like the relaxing ambiance and the spa treatments they offer, but there's been a few issues that I've encountered during my past two visits. On both visits, they had staffing issues. Even though I made an appointment, it always seems like they get delayed because they've overbooked and/or don't have enough nail technicians. The first time I got a pedicure with spa treatment done and I watched as people who came in with appointments waited past their appointment times to be seen. A pedicure with spa treatment is supposed to be an hour, but I was there for two to three hours. On my most recent visit, I opted for the therapeutic pedicure. The menu listed it as "60 minutes", so I was under the impression that the massage session would be sixty minutes. It lasted fifteen minutes. The nail technician I had spent at most forty-five minutes with me before moving on and never coming back. I still had the paper towel between my toes. I waited half an hour before having to wave someone down to assist me. One of my nails was not trimmed straight, so I asked if they could snip it for me. Another nail technician (sorry, I forget her name, but I think she's the owner), ended up filing and repainting the whole set. She did a great job and offered extra massage for next time. I brought up the confusion with the therapeutic pedicure session twice throughout, but the receptionist still charged me for the therapeutic pedicure. So long story short, unless you are expecting a fifteen minute massage and spending $20 extra for it, DON'T go for the therapeutic pedicure. In the future, I'll opt for the traditional pedicure or splurge on another spa treatment (rose and champagne is currently my go-to). Also, if you can, book your appointment earlier in the day before they get backed up with appointments and walk-ins. read more

However, the young man at the front desk wasn't friendly and looked at me blankly. He did not have the best attitude when I asked him a few questions. My nail technician was kind and made sure I liked my nails. Only problem was noticing few small dent marks on my nails. She recommended adding a callus removal treatment to my regular mani pedi. My go to nail salon near home was booked, so I tried something new based on the reviews. When I called, I was able to get a reg mani pedi for 2 people within 2 hrs. The moment you walk in you are in awe of the decor with all the sparkly chandeliers overheads. The place was clean and organized and a few people waiting for their service. We were able to sit in our spa chairs while we waited and offered drinks. They had a menu of color palettes to choose from. It appeared that all the staff available were serving customers, and some were waiting before us, so it seemed like they may have overbooked. 30 minutes. That's how long we waited before the staff approached us. They did apologize for the wait and went to work right away. DD started before me but finished after me. Her tech was being careful and taking her time. She needed a color change as the one she chose was a bit too light. The tech gladly made the change and took her time with the mani too. Tracy did my spa pedicure. I chose the pomegranate scrub treatment and I am so glad I did bc, "Wow. It was amazing!" I nearly fell asleep which never happens. In the middle of it, another lady came to do my manicure. I felt that she'd take her time to do it like Tracy has been, but that was not the case. It was a basic file, soak, quick rub of my arms. Polish and light dab of acetone with a brush to fix the over polished areas. Done. That was less than the time I waited. 10 minutes, if even that long. So glad that Tracy was still working on my pedicure soaking it in the hot wax hot towels and it really put my mind at ease. The color for my toes were perfect. Love loved my pedicure experience. By the time we were done, it was about 2 hrs. 25% of that time was the wait. I'd definitely come back again if my other salon is booked again but maybe for just a pedicure as the drive is about 30 min. It would be worth it. I'm really disappointed with our recent pedicure experience. My nail polish started peeling just one day after the appointment, which shouldn't happen with a professional service. Even more concerning, my daughter had bleeding during her pedicure -- something that should never occur. If the salon was understaffed that day, you really shouldn't have accepted more appointments than you could handle. It felt rushed and careless. We came in expecting a relaxing, quality experience and unfortunately left feeling the opposite. Even if I have an appt I still end up waiting 30 mins to 1 hour 30 mins. My friend likes this place so I keep going back! Hoping next time will be better. I have tipped well and thought maybe if I keep coming they will start to treat me better...The ladies here are nice, in a fake way. And it seems like they have their favorites. Because as I am not greeted how I hear them greet everyone else, very sad. I am never offered water. I get my nails done, a mani, as a treat for myself for working hard and dealing with a lot stress. I would like to enjoy the nice ambiance and music, but it's more like a tense awkward vibe. So unless you plan to get pedi and mani which I see others doing those ladies are treated very well. If you want basic service there don't expect to be treated the same as others. Their work is the exact same as other places, nails look great. So why would I pick them? Because I have a choice where to go. After this last time, now I will choose somewhere else. Sharing since I read such amazing reviews and my experience was not at all the same. I've been debating for a while on writing a review but decided to after my last visit. The nail tech, who's name I will not mention, did a good job overall but she did cut my skin and my toes was still bleeding daily for 2 weeks. I debated many of times to visit my doctors to see if I had an infection. I told her it hurt but she kept going until she saw I was bleeding. There is always something about this salon that always makes me think twice before visiting. Again, they've always done a good job on my pedis but there have been incidents that leave a bad taste. For example, I had a gift card to use and after leaving and doing the math in my head, I realized that I was overcharged for my service. The owner's husband rang me up, said he was going to charge me $XXX and I said okay without thinking twice. I realized later that he over charged me a few dollars. I wasn't sure if I was charged a fee to use a gift card. During my last visit, the owner's son walked around the salon and offered every single customer a drink; water, coffee or champagne but never once approached my friend and I. Pleasanton has a lot of nail salons, so I do not see myself coming back to Lavender which is a bummer. read more

We made a reservation for 2 standard pedicures. We when we were seated, the technician repeatedly asked us to get an upgraded service. Yes, I know this customary, but it was repeated SEVERAL TIMES. I must have said no at least 6 times and my husband 4. I feel that because I didn't want the over priced coconut bath, the technician immediately wrote me off. She sped through the entire experience. The massage portion (my favorite) lasted 3 minutes. We sat down at 11:09am and she was polishing my toes at 11:21am. Then as they were drying, I noticed the sloppy paint job. Another technician had to come over, remove all of the polish that was on my skin and redo 3 nails since it was not completely done. As I look at them now, 4 hours later, I'm still noticing spots that were not dealt with. I believe this entire experience would have been different if I had paid for an over priced service. So, if you want honey lavender cold brew cream for $60 then maybe you'll get treated better. read more

We had booked a Gel mani regular padi combo appointment online from their official website (which takes you to a booking website - see the picture) for $80. When the service was done, they were like: oh the prices have increased, and charged $100 & we added tip! It's not about the extra $20, it's about running a clean and honest business!
