Jamie McMahon is the worst lawyer I have ever met. Her fee for my transaction was supposed to be $800. However, she didn't honor our original agreement. She wound up subtracting $2,000 for her fee during the closing. She tried justifying it by saying that the transaction took longer than normal and therefore she had the right to charge me more than 100 percent over the orginial cost. Also, she gave me terrible advice throughout the deal. She thought it would be a good idea for me to agree to buy the unit "as is". Boy was I sorry I took the advice of this lawyer. Even my two year old would know that was bad advice. I know it was my fault for listening to her, but I was naively trusting my lawyer. Then, about two years after I bought the unit I got the deed in the mail from her. You're supposed to get it about two months after you close. She must have found it at the bottom of her dusty piles of paperwork and decided to mail it to me. Take my advice - DO NOT HIRE JAMIE! She advertises herself as the cheapest but she's really the most expensive and she's terrible!! read more
