Gotta love Lawn Service it is one of the best spots in downtown Greensboro! Located right in the heart of LeBauer Park, it's the perfect place to relax, meet up with friends, or just soak in the downtown energy. What makes it stand out most is the variety. Whether you're looking for something to pick you up (their iced coffee lattes are fantastic) or something to help you unwind (beer, wine, and THC drinks), there's truly something for every mood and time of day. For those underage they have an array of desserts including local ice cream and lemonade. I also love how they keep the space active with weekly events, live music, and community gatherings. It feels like much more than just a place to grab a drink. My partner loves their Thursday night bike rides, and I always enjoy the live music they bring to the park. Another bonus is the location. It's within walking distance of the Greensboro Cultural Center, the downtown library, and the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts, making it the perfect stop before a show, visiting art galleries, or enjoying other local community events. Great selection of wine and beer for such a small spot. Though most people just walk up and take their drinks elsewhere, we cozied up at the corner of the bar and enjoyed music, people watching and great service. Lawn service is definitely a bar I recommend if you want to spend any time outside in downtown Greensboro! On warm, sunny days or during Christmas/winter activities, lawn service always has the right beverage for your mood. They are the first ones to introduce me to cold brew lemonade which I have become obsessed with and I absolutely loved the spiked hot apple cider I got last week at the Festival of Lights. The bar works just like any other bar where you walk up and order and they have an array of different beverages from coffees, to slushees, to beer, to wine. Lawn Service is one of my favorite downtown coffee spots. It's centrally located near the Tanger Center and the park so if you're just walking through town and like a quick pickup me up or looking to get a drink before show time, it's the best of both worlds. Their menu is updated seasonally so you'll be able to get your favorite items as well as try new items as they come available. My favorite this season has been the Butter Pecan Latte-perfect blend of sweet and warmth, reminding me of a cozy evening. My crew was enjoying the temporary ice skating rink downtown when I needed to warm up a bit. I walked over to Lawn Service located beside LeBauer Park. I ordered a hot chocolate at the bar. The bartender was super nice. She took my order right away and I received my drink quickly. The hot chocolate was very good. Just the right amount of chocolate and texture. Yum! It came in one size and it was a bit small, but it was tasty and was good enough for my visit. If I stayed longer, I would love to have a bigger cup. If you don't sit at the bar, there are tables between the two restaurants or you can sit on a bench along Davie St or closer to the park. I will definitely visit this location again. I love these small restaurants in LeBauer park and have been thrilled to take advantage of them. We were visiting from out of town. I found lawn service on yelp. I got two five year olds up and ready to go. We walked over and they were not open. Online it said they would open at 8 am. Around 8:05 someone showed up and told me he wouldn't be opening because the espresso machine was going to be serviced. He shrugged his shoulders and closed the window. I LOVE Lawn Service at LeBauer Park. It's a really unique experience to have coffee and beer/wine at this cute park downtown. Today I ordered the iced Strawberry Latte and it was such a surprising treat! It tasted like a Neapolitan ice cream cone, yum! The barista was super nice and handled the line with ease. I'll definitely be back here to enjoy the atmosphere and perhaps get a little work done. The one thing to keep in mind is parking. You'll more than likely need to park in a parking deck (there's one behind the cultural center/park/library) and walk over. You could probably grab a street spot on Elm. Be sure and check out the Greensboro Museum next door while you're there! You won't be disappointed. Places like this continue to make me proud to be a Greensboro native! Coffee? Beer? Ice Cream? Snacks? Check, check, check, check. This little offshoot of Little Brother's Brewing has some of the best coffee in town (yeah I drink a LOT OF COFFEE). Service is fast, and being able to sit in the park, or grab something before heading over to Tanger Center is a nice treat. The Baristas/Bartenders are knowledgeable and this is their own roast of coffee. Next time you're downtown and want a little snack or drink, head on over! read more

Little Brother is one of my favorite Greensboro breweries, so I was delighted by the opening of Lawn Service as their kiosk extension at LeBauer Park. I actually had the honor of being an actor in their announcement commercial! Their transformation of the former space is very impressive. I love the open bar front design where guests can sit at stools while they enjoy their beverages and treats. The extended roof top also allows for some cover in case of weather or the sun a hot day. The kiosk offers a full service coffee bar, wine, rotating beer taps from Little Brother, and locally sourced baked goods and ice cream. My husband and I got their limited edition GSO Pride Sour Fruited Gose available around the time of Greensboro Pride. It was a mango passion fruit Gose and quite delicious. It was a thrill to get to order a beer and enjoy it at the establishment as well as all around the park. The location being so close to the Tanger Center and Downtown offices is ideal indeed. I think it's a fun concept and a great idea for the space. People can get coffee before/during work as well as a beer after. Additionally you will also get the weekend crowd enjoying the park and Downtown. I live in walking distance to Downtown so it's nice knowing that quality beers, coffee, and treats are available daily and nearby! You can also get cans to go! read more

A bright, open, lovely spot right downtown across from Steven Tanger. I was impressed with all the options they offered - both coffee and alcohol. Ordering was convenient and the bartenders were nice. I started with the Press Blackberry cider. I was given a cup that I could carry around the drinking district to accompany the bottle. A great coffee shop option for downtown. They use Counter Culture coffee, and prices are very reasonable. Ally is super friendly and does an excellent job. All the usual coffee drinks you'd expect plus locally made pastries. A night the have a great selection of locally made beer, a slushee, and wine. They also serve ice cream, so they have whatever you need regardless of the time of day. Truly a great spot in downtown to get outside, enjoy the park and have something refreshing! read more

LOVE this place and is my new favorite coffee shop in Greensboro!!! Have gone a couple of times early in the morning since I live downtown! Service is absolutely amazing - Carmen is the best! It's located right at Labauer park and across from the new Tanger events center. They have coffee (iced and hot) - different syrups including sugar free vanilla (and almond milk, oat milk, etc) - my go to has been a SF vanilla latte with oat milk, they also have teas, wine, beer, etc!! And they even bring in baked goods from a local bakery - which I've had the chocolate croissant - flakey and tasty - chocolate tasted like a dark chocolate which is my fav and the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin - YUM plus big enough for 2! They also have ice cream from the local creamery!! How could you not support local that supports local?! Plenty of seating in the park area and at their "bar/counter"...prices are good but again the experience is what it's all about! Never a bad time at lawn service. The baristas are always friendly. A very welcoming outdoor atmosphere. A great place for that break time coffee or snack. Maybe even an after work beer! TVs to catch up on news. Just writing this review makes me want to stop by tomorrow for a drink! Warning: Don't walk up the street too far or else you'll find yourself surrounded by loogie hocking junkies and strung out vagrants. If the city could help these people out instead of letting them camp out and get F'd up on the sidewalks around the park, Greensboro could really have an incredible downtown area. read more

At the suggestion of the bartender, we split a Caesar salad as well as a Black and Bleu black flatbread. The Caesar salad is a classic and was very satisfying. Can't say it is special, but it is simply delicious. The flatbread was a lot of fun. It comes with olive oil, caramelized, onion, crumbled bleu cheese, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze. We added blackened fillet tips as our protein. My only complaint is I should've ordered two. The flatbread is incredibly satisfying and the beef tips were savory, tender, and flavorful. I went old-school on the drink. I had a 20 ounce Guinness, while my wife had a mule. Both were spot on and worked really well with the food we had. Everything was very affordable as well. Taproom is loud and feels neighborly. I reviewed it nine years ago and I'm changing nothing. I highly recommend a visit if you're looking for drinks and pub food in a classic environment.

I dined alone a little after 4 PM and was seated right away before the dinner rush, although there…read morewere already about 12 to 15 people inside. By the time I left around 6, there were people standing and waiting to be seated. The patio was open with one couple enjoying the nice weather and relative quiet of outdoors. Embur recently relocated to Smyres Place in Greensboro and the new space feels much smaller than I expected. The design reminded me of what I imagine a modern restaurant in Peru might look like. Industrial with solid wood floors, warm finishes, and a large wine display. There are around 25 to 26 tables, mostly two tops and four tops. The largest table seats six, but they will push tables together for larger groups. While I was there, a group of more than 20 came in celebrating something and they were seated quickly without disrupting the rest of the room. The small patio has outdoor seating with about 8 tables and a they have bar area with about nine comfortable seats. The menu took me a minute to understand but I ended up liking the setup. You choose your entrée, which comes with set ingredients, and then choose your protein. Each protein has a different price, so you can control the cost of your meal somewhat. Most menu items can also be made gluten free according to the menu, and vegetarian options seem easy to do. For my appetizer, I ordered the flatbread. Perfection. Rosemary, olive oil, sea salt. Crispy outside, soft inside, and so flavorful I almost ate the whole thing before my meal was served. The server came with water right away and remain attentive but not intrusive the whole time. For my entree, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa with salmon. Arroz Chaufa literally means fried rice. At first the dish seemed a bit salty to me, but once I added the green sauce that comes with it (served on the side), everything balanced out. The green sauce has very mild heat, so if you are not a fan of spicy food, that is the one I would recommend. There is a list of sauces so I assume you can customize your entree. According to my server, the other sauces bring more heat. The salmon was excellent, well seasoned but not too much, and moist. The portion was ample. I was very hungry but I had leftovers to bring home. Service was exactly what I want when dining alone. Attentive without being intrusive. I watched Netflix while I ate and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed or bothered. The noise level is average for a busy small restaurant. Comfortable enough to relax, but if you want to talk to someone in your group a couple of seats away, you will need your outside voice. This place feels upscale without being fussy, so expected to pay more than average, but I thought it was good value for the quality and portions. I loved this restaurant and will absolutely go back. Must order: Rosemary flatbread appetizer. Tip: Ask about sauce heat before ordering. If you do not like spicy food, start with the green sauce.

I checked their website and it said the estimated time was 12:55 and at this point it was 10:45 so I called them to see if they could make it any sooner, the owner picked up and she made it happen.
