My experience with Matthew Horak and Alma Vargas was deeply disturbing. I experienced what I…read morebelieve was systematic abuse of a protected person through extreme litigation, deception, and financial pressure. While Horak was being paid thousands of dollars, I was pro se and could not afford an attorney. I experienced two occasions where my attempts to obtain temporary restraining-order protection were blocked, leaving me to suffer while he continued representing my soon-to-be ex-husband. Most disturbing, Horak attempted to have me sign an agreement stating that my protective order had been set aside, while the judge had actually extended the protective order. I experienced this as deliberate and orchestrated deception. I also experienced what appeared to be a sham reconciliation, followed by my electricity and internet being cut off, the mortgage not being paid, and my husband renting another residence. Horak then pursued a receiver and continued seeking an agreement from me even though I understood the underlying matter to be essentially a dead case. I had to borrow money to prevent the home from going into foreclosure. I was already dealing with physical, emotional, and financial abuse. Instead of feeling protected, I experienced additional legal and financial pressure from the opposing attorneys. The amount of deception I experienced was outrageous. Everything is documented, and I intend to report these matters to the appropriate higher authorities and professional organizations, regardless of Horak's "Super Lawyer" title. A title does not put anyone above accountability. Truth will come to light. Light will win.

I had to write the judge myself with no help from Gladden , for him to release my medical files that I sent in 2023, from being in a coma in 2016 my charges were from 2018 and they said I would not be in my right state of mind for at least five years, if not more.
