Cashier didn't look up, or say hello when we came in. My husband let her know in a polite way about the state of the restrooms, she said, "Well it's a truck stop!" OMG! I've been to many truck stops, all over the country, and most are nice. Tip of the day, don't stop here, keep rolling down the road!

There was plenty of room by the gas station pumps to get gas and was not overcrowded for being right off the interstate. The place where you actually put in your credit card is kind of high if you are vertically challenged. The only issue I actually even had was that it did not print a receipt outside. I walked in to ask for a receipt and told the clerk about it, but he seemed very dis-interested, and I had the feeling that he had no intention of going outside to try and actually fix the problem for other customers. Looked like it could be cleaned up on the outside as well as the inside, but it wasn't horrible.

He ran out to our car and threatened us with cameras like we were stealing despite an employee from inside coming out to help us. the new manager said our card was declined-- despite the approved message after both attempts and refused to give us receipts. finally we just decided to leave and get gas somewhere else only to find that we were charged $20 after we left and somehow that attempt wasnt declined....? i went back to get our money as we only got $6 in gas and the manager proceeded to say i was lying about everything, that i was stupid, and had no brain in my head. i asked several times who the owner was and he refused to tell me, i hope whoever hired him understands that this is how their customers are being treated when they aren't around.

I didn't purchase gas, however, the employees not only were friendly, they also made me feel comfortable during my 90 minute wait for a tow truck and five hour wait for Lyft to take me 25 miles to my home. One attendant in particular has gone as far as claiming his system was down and couldn't sell me gas once he saw I had a bag of returnables. After seeing several people frequent the store, go inside, come out with purchases, and pump gas, I returned and he told me the same thing. This time though as he was handing someone change at the register, and so wasn't even trying to be convincing. Today he asked me if all of my bottles were purchased there, and since I couldn't be sure, why I brought them in there to return.....as though I'm supposed to keep track of each and every beverage and where it came from when I'm spending every penny in their store and so I'm not taking money away that wasn't deposited there in the first place. Then when he said something in another language and I said "I'm sorry I didn't understand you", he said "of course cuz none of us speak English right?", as though in anyway I had insinuated such. I'm sick and tired of being discriminated against for doing my part to keep as much out of landfills as possible. Michigan's bottling deposit program is hugely successful in spite of assholes like this. I can't wait to bring him another 12 pack tomorrow. * just fyi, an excerpt from the legislation for anyone who is as misinformed as the attendant in question: A dealer who regularly sells beverages for consumption off the dealer's premises shall provide on the premises, or within 100 yards of the premises on which the dealer sells or offers for sale a beverage in a returnable container, a convenient means whereby the containers of any kind, size, and brand sold or offered for sale by the dealer may be returned by, and the deposit refunded in cash to, a person whether or not the person is the original customer of that dealer, and whether or not the container was sold by that dealer.
