It is right on 6th street where all the fun happens. It did have a lot of space at 5PM when I went their to attend a meeting using my laptop. By 6PM, it became too loud and so I came outdoor. I got the bag taco and it was $3.75! It was a yummy dish, similar to ones that I had in Costa Rica and I was able to finally see it only here. First night in Austin and we were looking for a great place to eat, get some beers and listen to music. We got 2 of the 3. Not sure when this place has music but it was Easter Sunday so we figure maybe that's why there was no music. We still had a great time. A nice seating area with chairs and an amazing couch. Looks like for those that come in for coffee And want to relax. Most eating tables inside are hightops with the exception with 1 low top table. Smaller tables outside good for 1-2 people and then the back with picnic tables. This place can seat a lot.It was a little windy so we sat inside. We were able to sample 2 of their IPA beers. We ordered their big nachos with carna asada and a rice bowl with their green chicken. The nachos was big enough for 2-3 to munch on and feel comfortably full. They were delicious with guacamole and Mexican sour cream. We were brought 3 small appetizer size plates so we could share. My daughter said the rice bowl was amazing. I had them add some avocado for a small cost. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The place looked very clean including the bathroom. If there was music and we sat outside I think it would have been awesome. Can't really tell you about parking. We were lucky to get 1 of 2 parking spaces right in front of the location so if that wasn't available not sure how difficult it would have been. The outside of the place looked real cool with the building being an awesome color and clearly marked Lazarus. We highly recommend coming and checking them out. We attended a rehearsal dinner at Lazarus and really enjoyed this venue. We had the "cool store" room reserved for our group which was nice. We bought a couple of our own drinks before the event, and I loved the paloma frose so much that I got a second one. It was slightly sweet and fruity, and almost reminded me of a frozen sangria. But not too sweet! Nate really liked both of the beers he tried. Our group had a little buffet of tacos, and everything was really delicious. The carnitas taco was my favorite with tender, juicy meat and hot salsa to go with it. The tortillas were soft and flavorful, very good. This brewery also serves coffee, which is cool. There was plenty of outdoor space and it was busy but the bartenders were really helpful and friendly. If I lived nearby, I'd visit this place often. read more

Lazarus excels in both the making of boozy libations and caffeine packed pick me ups. While I didn't indulge in any food, I am qualified to speak to the beverages. They have a pretty solid list of beers in a range of styles but my personal fav is the Amandus, a Belgian. It's crisp, yeasty and gives you just enough ABV to not mind the endless Texas heat. Speaking of heat, they came in hot with the iced latte I ordered. Delicious and perfectly roasted? Sure. Even more, I found it to be a nice way to counteract the two beers I had drank. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. A friend suggested this spot since we wanted to hit up a brewery in our visit to Austin. Once we entered, the place was bright with a lot of natural light. There was no line at the moment to place your order at the bar. Got the Blanche de Barton ($6.50) which was a nice Belgian beer. Got the bacon, egg and cheese taco ($4.50), Al pastor taco ($5) and the carnitas tacos ($4.00) which were all solid. We ate at one of the benches outside. Very spacious and fans spraying water throughout the outdoor dining (video for reference). My friends and I threw around the football as we waited for our tacos to get placed at our table. Having been to the Airport Blvd location, I decided to come here. And like the airport location, this location also has a difficult parking problem. There are a few spots out front, but it's like winning the lottery if you get one of those spaces. This is a great place to come to if you live in one of the many apartments in the area, but a drive from the burbs may not be worth it. One thing is for sure, this place gets really hot in the summertime, which is why they have installed numerous misting fans to cool as much of the outdoor seating area as possible. This place is also dog friendly and it's easy to accidentally step into a water bowl if you're not looking. There is lots of outdoor seating. They do offer a food menu and the beers are well crafted. A great local brewery in the heart of East Austin. This place is dope AF. The staff put this place on a whole new level and it is what makes the vibe. The beer has matured so much over the years with some usual staples and many rotations of new beer makes it from being boring. They've recently added frozens to the roster for those looking for more than beer. They have wine on the menu as well to fill the need and check for their wine nights. Cool glasses? These are for members and each year a few are available for purchase. Plan to get up early as they sell very fast - after all you get a free beer or coffee everyday for the rest of your life! All in all I love how the Laz 1 (OG now that they have a second location on airport) has grown. Come for the beer, stay for the staff, and soak in some music on nights with bands or on the weekend for events like Austin Flea. 5 stars for great vibes and good brew!! I came here on a random Wednesday afternoon after a game of (yes) pickleball... and it was honestly the perfect way to refresh. Great selection of beer and they have a great space! You can hang out with friends, including your furry ones, outside in the patio, read a book in one corner while drinking your choice of brew, or work away on your laptop with a nice cold one next to y'a or some coffee!! Didn't get to try their food, but I hear they have a good selection also. They have random events as well so follow them on social. This is the perfect place for meeting up with friends or a date to get a beer or glass of wine in a casual atmosphere. This was a Yelp event with Hoodoo Crawfish Catering. Such amazing crawfish with just the right amount of spice. Crawfish, shrimp, potatoes and corn. I opted out of the sausage but I hear it was delicious as well. There's only craft beer and wine here and not a full bar. I had the Irish dark beer recommended by the bartender and my friend had the rose. Both were tasty and different. What was odd is that the first drink I received was in a smaller glass and only half full like you'd have for a glass of wine. While the second glass of the same beer was in a bigger pint sized glass and filled to the top. Different bartender. So not sure what that was all about. The DJ played a nice mix of old and new music and the fan misters helped a lot to ease the sweltering humility. Parking is limited as there's only a small lot. So it's street parking for the most part on a busy night. I'll be back. Perhaps for a happy hour and watch the sunset with a friend and a beer or two. read more

The video online inspired us to take a look in person. We walked in and went to the "Order Here" service was quick, and the employees were friendly. We had a Send It beer, expresso, chicken chipotle taco and a breakfast taco. The beer was crisp, light and had full flavor. Hard combo and well done. The tacos were tasty and well made. I love Lazarus. The staff is great, they are friendly, make good recommendations, are excellent bartenders as well as baristas, and they are helpful and kind with events. The space is open and bright with great spots for working, socializing, or just drinking. The beers are also great. I love the Lightening Wolf, it's a super tasty IPA and one of my favorite brews in town. The tacos and queso are also really good. Rolled up here after our time at the Grackle since my friend mentioned the craft beers here. The line here was quite long so it gave me the impression that this place is a spot to be at especially on a Saturday night. Based on the exterior, clean floors, live music playing, and festive atmosphere among the patrons here, I can't argue that you'll have a good time here. Beers. Yes, the beer; all of which are brewed in-house with a variety of profiles. Sadly the Black Pearl rice lager which I've heard so much about was sold out. Decided on the Achilles Heel Nitro Stout which as easy to drink and not as heavy as I expected. Anything nitro for beer is desirable from my experience so never pass that up. Food-wise, their menus consist of tex-mex stuff (tacos, tortas, rice bowls, quesadillas, etc.). We went with the chipotle chicken tacos which pack quite a kick in the spice department. It's a mess eating them due to the sauce so you will get your hands dirty scarfing them down. Not what I was hoping for so next time I'll probably go with a different type of taco. Another fun spot off of 6th street, nothing but a good time while coming here. Next time I hope that Black Pearl is here! read more

However, they were quite expensive, and paying extra for meat didn't get me much meat. The portion was quite large, and would have been better split with someone else. A garage-like inside area and a huge outside seating area to enjoy some good craft beer! This was our first stop on the particular Pedicab tour we were on. This place was explained to us as a great place to get some good craft beer and to sit outside if the weather is nice. Both statements were incredibly correct. Russ behind the counter was very helpful in assisting us in choosing the beer that was going to hit our tastebuds just right. I had a St. Peter's and my wife had a Tamarack Pale Ale. Both had a flavor that we had not had before in a craft beer and were pretty smooth going down. Sitting outside was nice too. There was plenty of room to find a table, and it looked like the place filled up pretty nicely at night because there was so much space to have conversation with friends! read more

Love this brewery! The beer is great, rotating taps always serving new and seasonal beers so coming back you can always try something new. Food is great as well! This day I just needed a snack and the fried chickpeas were a perfect snack before dinner. I've had their bowls, quesadillas and chips& queso before and I've throughly enjoyed them all. Vibes are immaculate here! Awesome event space with views of their brewing room, perfect outside patio situation (plenty of shade and misters) and inside seating with AC for the hot summer months. Service can be meh. I've had a mix of really attentive and great staff and those that seem annoyed I dare order a beer. Loved this place. They have places to sit inside and outside. For outside there is some shade and fans. The place has a very open floor plan with two bars. After spending two nights in Austin and going to a handful of bars, this ended up being our favorite brewery. The beer was great, it was priced well, it was cold, and it was refreshing. After being here a while, we decided to order food. The food menu was decent for a brewery and had more options than what we are used to. We went with nachos grande with the green chicken (non spicy option). The nachos had a ton of flavor and all the fixings. It was a big enough portion to feed three or four people. We came to Lazarus Brewing for a friend's event and were excited to try some new items! Both the exterior and interior of Lazarus looked nice and were very clean! I also loved that they had a full selection of coffee shop items in addition to the brewery items. To start, we ordered the "Before the Light" beer and a Brut Rose. The glassware they use is very nice and the brut rose served was great - I'm not too much of a beer gal! For food, it was all preordered and laid our buffet style for our group to grab whatever we wanted. The staff did a great job and ensuring all items remained available and fully stocked! The items I tried were: - Chips & Guacamole / Chips & Pico - I actually mixed the guacamole with the pico and it was delish! Both the pico and guac were so fresh and the chips were fresh and crunchy! - Fried Chickpeas - Unexpectedly yummy and a bit addicting! These are a must order if you're visiting and want a salty little snack - Tacos (Al Pastor, Carnitas, Black Bean w/ Cheese) - The meat within the tacos was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. The other filling was fresh and tasty as well. The only piece I didn't love was the tortillas (which is a key piece). I ended up not eating the tortillas and just had the insides which takes away from the overall but was still good. I'm from out of town and this was my first time coming to Lazarus brewery. The beer is really great! But I must say that I am so impressed with Niko. She is really kind, warm, and welcoming. She is also really knowledgeable on all of the different beers and walked me through them and helped me to pick out a few favorites (I strongly recommend the Czech pils!). Came here for the beer, stayed for the tacos, but... should have kept on going. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that is entirely true for Lazarus Brewing. I'm a hoppy gal who loves her high ABVs, but unfortunately, Lazarus offers more lighter beers than hop. For hops, I've tried the 40 Days and 40 Nights, and also the Lightning Wolf, and though both weren't terrible, I grew weary of them pretty quickly. As for their draught beers, I can't remember which one exactly, but it reminded me of a bud light... which is questionable. As for the food, they offer light Mexican bites (tacos and chips essentially). I ordered the Street Tacos and found my tacos to be edible, but bland. read more

I'm not a huge beer drinker and my friends and I were looking for chill places on Fourth of July to catch up and Lazarus happened to be one of the few breweries open! This place is a great place to chill and grab a cold on! They have plenty of outdoor seating with fans and indoor seating as well. I am a coffee drinker and the Jolted Phoenix immediately sounded enticing to try. It was very smooth with hints of coffee. What is great about this place is that they have food in case you want to sober up after a few beers or just hungry! Their chips and queso was solid and my friends enjoyed their street tacos.
