Lazy acres is an upscale grocery that reminds me of sprouts and Whole Foods. They don't sell lots of overly processed foods and you can get some quality ingredients here; however price points can be on the high side. I come here looking for specific things like natural maple syrup and high quality flour. I tend to not get fruits and I tend to find more items here from small businesses than brand name spots, so I'll sporadically find things here to impulse buy. They also have lots of prepared self-service hot foods and a poke bar if you want a meal to go. My favorite thing here are their fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, priced at $3.75. They sell so many of them, that they're constantly putting out fresh batches. I've come in four times this year for it and it's been hot and fresh every time! I find that outstanding as I've been to stand alone bakeries with cookies that weren't as fresh as they are here. The cookie is massive and has high quality ingredients you can taste. It's as good of a chocolate cookie as you can find anywhere. Come get some, because if they keep up the high turnover, then I can keep eating them hot and fresh! read more

This store is good for certain items, but my experience has been inconsistent enough that I'm selective about what I buy here. I've had issues with the fresh cheese cut in-store, which unfortunately tasted off and had a strong ammonia-like flavor. I will be returning it tomorrow for a refund. This experience has put me off buying their fresh cheeses going forward. I'm also not particularly impressed with the pre-cooked deli selection. There are frequent things that make me hesitate to purchase, such as a recent fish dish that was heavily overdone with capers to the point it felt unbalanced. That said, I do still come in occasionally because they carry some hard-to-find items. I've found excellent coffee here, and I've enjoyed their crab cakes. Customer service has also been very mixed. I had a particularly unpleasant experience with a cashier who had a poor attitude when I was overcharged for an item that was marked differently on the shelf than what I was charged. I went back to show the original price tag, even retrieving the torn portion to demonstrate it matched. Despite this, I was treated as if I might be trying to manipulate the price over a difference of about two dollars. There was no apology, just a dismissive and rude demeanor. The correction was eventually made, but it was handled awkwardly, and I was handed multiple receipts while my original receipt for other purchases was not returned. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, not because of the pricing issue itself, but because of how it was handled. Overall, I still stop in for a few specialty items, but my confidence in consistency and customer service has definitely been affected. The ambiance of the store is nice. I went on a full cookie quest for this one. I had been reading way too many insta reviews about the legendary Bristol Farms chocolate chip cookie, and it reached the point where I could no longer be productive until I tried it. I thought there was a Bristol Farms in Long Beach... plot twist: it's actually Lazy Acres Market, which (after some Googling in the parking lot) turns out to be owned by Bristol Farms. Think Bristol Farms' slightly more relaxed and better priced farm cousin who still knows how to bake. The store itself is cool, clean, modern, a little upscale but not intimidating. I didn't really shop (laser-focused mission here), but after wandering around, I made my way to the back where the fresh cookie station lives. And... wow. The chocolate chip cookie was exactly what the internet gods promised: crispy edges, gooey center, and so fresh it barely held itself together. This thing disintegrated in the best possible way. Chocolate everywhere. Fingers? Covered. Face? Dignity? Gone. Worth it? Absolutely. I ate it in my car like an impatient adult, knowing full well I had the face of a three-year-old at a birthday party. Chocolate on my hands, chocolate on my face. Zero regrets...ok maybe some calories guilt but it faded fast. For the price, it's an easy win -- cheaper than most boutique cookie spots, but easily playing in the same league. This place is too expensive for my blood. Haha I only went here as I'm on the search for blood oranges for a special cocktail recipe for Thanksgiving. I did find them but at $3.49 per pound, five of them (which are small) set me back $5 big ones. Steep! I do appreciate the organization and perfectly lined products in the store. Very pleasing to the eye. It seems they have a little something for everyone. Vegan, seafood, butcher, fresh food, bakery, charcuterie stuff with several cheese and olive options, hot foods, grab and go foods, salad bar, dips and salsas.... I really don't know how people afford to frequently shop here. I am not one of those people. WHY I CAME HERE? After attending a Yelp event nearby, my eldest daughter and I needed to use the women's restroom before heading out for our 1.5+ hours drive home. That's right. I live afar LOL. I feel like this is the Erewan? Of Long Beach. Probably misspelled it but that's because I don't go there haha. Things are definitely a bit pricier BUT I will say their cookies are freakn HUGE and this is the only place so far that has the little peppers that they have when you go to FOGO or VACA. Everyone here is very friendly and it definitely makes you feel like it's a fun healthy environment. They have a hot food bar, a meat counter, seafood counter deli and a bakery. I highly recommend this grocery store. If you're looking for items that are normally not sold in regular grocery stores, this is the place. They also have game meats such as venison, bison, elk, ostrich, and others. I shop at Lazy Acres regularly but a few days ago I was horrified to see big black flies landing on the cooked fish in the hot food section . Something has to be done about this because both the salad and hot food bar is not covered enough . Your main sliding door is opening and closing constantly during store hours and flies are attracted to cooked food . Please rectify this immediately. read more

Nothing like summer for a fresh juice, smoothie or coffee. The Lazy Acres Coffee & juice bar is conveniently located inside the Lazy Acres Supermarket on Bellflower Ave in Long Beach. There's plenty of parking. Grab a healthy juice or a beverage of choice in the morning on your way to work, with Lunch, on your way to the Beach or simply while shopping. The service is good and friendly and the overall vibe is very chill. The market offers lots of great items. I got the "beyond the beet" fresh juice. It has orange, carrot, beet, fennel and spinach. Lazy Acres is definitely our favorite local market. Great produce, prepared food, sushi, meats and fish. I love their sausage selection (meat case) and the Hot Italian is my favorite! They carry a nice selection of marinated meats to throw on the BBQ, especially when you don't have the time or ingredients) to do it yourself. Prepared foods I don't often buy, but when I do, Lazy Acres is the place. Salads are freshly packed. Flatbread pizzas are very good. I've love their quiches. Again, perfect when you don't have time to prepare yourself or headed on a trip. Great place for a quick lunch with many different options. I finally picked up the cookies everyone raves about. I love this store. I didn't start going here recently until a couple of months ago. Friends told me the BBQ station is good. I went to try it and yes it was amazing! You can really taste that smoked flavor in the ribs, tri-tip and brisket. The beans and potato's are good also. You get two proteins and wo sides for $17 bucks. They also have a good bakery section. I stop by to get a couple of cookies here! The floor hot station area is good and items changes everyday. I tried some mac and cheese from the hot station and decent! The staff was very friendly and courteous and i appreciate that. The prices are a bit higher than the average store, but they have great quality and that's expected. I had to do an update 3/22/2025. Very disappointed to come here twice on my last visits and no BBQ on a monday and thursday evening 3pm. There was no ribs and no brisket and just tri-tip. I guess my BBQ run is over here because i won't be traveling all the way here to look at empty cases. Sad knocking rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. Hope they get their BBQ act together.. Justin helped me once again at the deli. Had to get the pesto pasta salad, and the squash basil zucchini pasta. Then I got some of the chicken fajita quesadillas (soooo good!!!). Always a pleasant talk and good suggestions. Got 2 pounds of liver (it's excellent for chronic anemia), some mushroom coffee, lavender honey that is so delicious, and a few other things. Wished they carried blood sausage, I always buy that everywhere in Argentina and here I have no clue where to go. Gina was excellent at the cash register, what a lovely personality. Definitely a unique market here in LB. Fresh and plenty of hot, cold prepared foods. Plenty of choices, rare, one of a kind items that you hardly or rarely or most of the time don't see in regular market. Big and spacious with plenty of parkings, tucked in a corner of the shopping center and outside seating area. Staff are nice and cheerful. There is cafe section and big seating section that you can seat and enjoys the foods after you purchased. Cookies here are excellent and warm too. The seafoods & meat sections are filled with high end quality and freshly cut. Fruits & vegetables are just amazing fresh and eye catching for sure..feels like farms to the store. After waiting way too long for a table at a nearby pizza spot, we decided to cut our losses and headed across the parking lot to Lazy Acres to check out the prepared foods section and honestly it was a fabulous decision. This was my first time at any Lazy Acres but it definitely won't be my last. Everything looked super fresh and appealing, I didn't know what to get because I had decision paralysis! I ended up grabbing a spicy salmon burrito and some poke from the poke bar, both of which were great! Tasty and spicy. To top it off, I grabbed a hot matcha latte from the coffee bar before heading to class because of course I did. It was just the right amount of sweet with the added syrup shot and made well. The store was clean, the vibes were quiet and relaxed, and the food was genuinely great. My only tiny complaint? The poke bar was running a little low on rice. I'll be returning to Lazy Acres next time I'm in the area and look forward to exploring more of the store! read more

If you're on the go in the morning and only have time to grab a quick breakfast--like a smoothie and a pastry--this place can be convenient. However, the staff showed very little sense of urgency, which was disappointing and made me anxious since I was on a tight schedule and risked being late for work. I eventually had to go to the front and ask a manager to expedite my order. Thankfully, she did. In my line of work, being late can lead to reprimands, and I'm not willing to risk that over a smoothie. Lazy Acres is relatively pricy compared to your typical grocery store but the following two things keep me coming back: 1. Alkaline water station: For filling up my 5 gallon jugs. Sometimes the water station is out of commission so I'll usually give the store a call just to make sure. 2. The Cookies!: Everybody loves the OG "The Cookie", including me! Don't sleep on the Peanut Butter cookie if you are a big fan of peanuts and peanut butter. Best of all, the cookies are kept on a warming tray so that they are warm and gooey. Aside from regular groceries, they also offer self-serve hot and cold food buffet where you pay by the pound as well as stations to order coffee, fish tacos, poke, and more. I've been a loyal customer at Lazy Acres since it was Bristol Farms years ago and I still stop by 2-3 times a week for specialty items, green juice, the poke bar or when I want to treat myself with a chocolate chip cookie. My Favorites: Poke Bar - I typically go for the aloha and spicy tuna poke with white rice, seaweed, ginger and crunchy onions. It's perfect for lunch when I have no leftovers or craving poke. The flavors are always spot-on and there's a wide variety of options to choose from. Green Juices/Juice Bar - My go-to is the "Doctor" juice when I'm feeling under the weather or just need an energy boost. I've also tried their other juices, veggie smoothies and ginger shots and everything is incredibly refreshing. The Cookie - Hands down the best cookie I've ever had. It's always fresh and warm with perfectly gooey chocolate and walnuts that is so much better than all other cookies out there. It's about the size of my palm and costs less than $4. The store itself is clean and well organized so it's easy to find what I need. They carry a lot of high quality brands with clean ingredients and the staff is wonderful and very helpful, especially Gina and Funnel. Lazy Acres frequently offers sales and specials making it easier to pick up specialty items at a great price. I also receive their neighborhood flyer with coupons for free products or BOGO deals which is a nice bonus. Who doesn't love free grocery items? Probably one of my favorite places to shop! My first stop when I walk in is the cute little display that has decorative holiday items to purchase. Then I have to breeze through the prepared foods which are usually in pretty good shape. Next is the meat and fish counter, which are truly excellent! They have the best selection I've just about everything you need to prepare fresh, delicious and healthy meals for you and your friends. They also have a health and beauty section which I loved to just spend time in exploring the new products sampling the lotions. The entire place is brightly lit with easy to read signs and a few in person checkout sections with self checkout as an option. I've been coming here for years periodically after work to grab some prepared meat and veggies for dinner on a busy day during the week. The smoked tri-tip and brisket is food my three and six year-olds will actually eat. I once came home with a plate of brisket and when I opened it to feed my kids, it was unfortunately mostly fat. Ever since then I always ask them to trim the fat if possible. Today around 2 PM I asked the older white lady with a beanie if she could cut me a couple of slices of brisket and trim the fat if possible. As she walked away to grab the parchment paper she started going on about how brisket is mostly fat and if I wanted a lean piece of meat, do not buy brisket. Then as she made her first slice, with a confused look on her face, She asked if I wanted her to trim the fat because it was." in the middle." of the meat. I said, yes please, to which she just made some gestures with the knife on the meat as though it was impossible to do so. She then went on to say it didn't make sense. I informed her that I do this almost every week. Then she started saying that if people do that they are supposed to charge me for the fat as well, and started saying that she would charge me for the fat as well. At this point, we were a couple of minutes into her not cutting trimming the fat, so I told her never mind and just give me the tri-tip instead. She reassured me that she wasn't trying to be difficult, but the fat was still not trimmed, so what good does that do me. I would hate to run into her when she IS trying to be difficult. I'm going to assume she was Mrs. Acres herself. Because she sure seemed lazy, and you would think that bit of fat was coming out of her bank account. read more
