I do not know why everyone raves about this place. While there is a wide variety of options, almost none of them are good. Everything had either too much mayonnaise or too much sauce or was overcooked. It was like they're too worried about the quality of the ingredients or the food to let it stand on its own. This could also be as a result of the cooking of the region. It would've been great to have something light and fresh. I did order a Caesar salad salad, and the dressing tasted like somebody edited ranch dressing. There was no anchovy flavor. The servers are nice, the prices aren't bad, and there is plenty of parking if you don't go on the weekend. The view is nice as well. In lower Islamorada sits this two story restaurant with an amazing outside deck and an inside bar. Been here twice before and had fresh seafood but today was a pit stop from a long drive and wanted a few pictures on the Lazy Days Beach with my wife. Today was very windy but unbelieveable views of the ocean. There are about fifty white chairs set out on the beach for public use. Great place to relax and take in the views of the keys. Beautiful views right on the water. Sitting outside overlooking the ocean was awesome, but a bit windy. Our server was great, very friendly and informative. The fried fisherman's platter was okay but lacked flavor on many items (just tasted like fried batter) and there wasn't many shrimp (maybe four); it was mostly small clam and calamari pieces. The fried fish was pretty good. For us, this restaurant was all about the views and outdoor Keys vibe, but the food while not bad, could've been better. Had an amazing lazy Sunday evening at Lazy Days Restaurant located in Isla Morada. Loved the beachy and relaxed vibes all very Key West style. The restaurant is located beachfront where you can enjoy beautiful ocean view and live music. I highly recommend the seafood broil platter. You get lobster, scallops, jumbo shrimp and fish all for a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and attentive. They have to go up and down the stairs as the kitchen is located on the second level. You also get oceanview from the terrace upstairs seating area. Their bread basket came with the best banana nut bread I had in a while. Bread was warm and delicious. Will definitely come back to try that banana bread one more time. read more

Lazy Days is what the Florida Keys are all about out! One of my favorite spots in the keys that has it all. Great ocean views, relaxing chill vibes with live music often, balance of a hip bar or beachside seating or indoor seating for any mood any day of the week! They offer amazing food with fresh seafood that's normally locally caught. You may also bring your own catch of the day that they will cook up for you as you wish and even offer it with their signature sauces. Amazing variety on the menu and great portions. Hands down the best bread basket provided at any place as you're not only fine dinner rolls, but an amazingly perfect banana nut bread that's warm and fresh that's moist and indulging. Our waiter was great and checked on us often and provided impeccable service. Food was fresh and amazing, however just wished my dish this time around was more flavorful as it lacked any seasoning except paprika and the signature key lime butter sauce was just not enough to help overall. Food and drinks are strangely combined and confusingly seasoned. We tried the Spicy Margarita and Lazy Smash for drinks. The Spicy Margarita says it's made with jalapeño tequila, but the flavor was like they added muddled jalapeño peppers. Not super spicy just *really* strong jalapeño flavor; it was gross. The Lazy Smash had so much Key lime juice that the whole drink was just bitter. We didn't finish either drink. For entrees, we had the Steak Teriyaki and the special Lobster Lorenzo. Teriyaki sauce had some kind of Indian spice added - curry powder? turmeric? - whatever it was it tasted like a teriyaki/marsala. It was odd. The Lobster Lorenzo is a split lobster tail that is breaded and fried, topped with a giant crab cake and sauce. The crab cake and sauce were amazing, the lobster was tough and chewy. I can't really comment on the server, since we had three different guys between the drink orders, the food order, food delivery, and the check. Scenery is nice and the restaurant itself is well decorated and inviting next to the water. But the food and drinks are definitely not worth the price. Excellent service and gorgeous views of the ocean. We opted for the Stone Crab appetizer and ordered entrees from the specials menu. We selected the grilled fish du jour, the Hogfish Tequila, and Shrimp & Scallops Arabia. Chef's kiss--the Hogfish and Shrimp & Scallops were delicious and plentiful portions. The Mahi special was a bit over and could have used a good seasoning. We enjoyed the live acoustic guitar music playing on the beach and stayed for an after-dinner cocktail to hear more. read more

Good place to come after loading the cooler up with fresh fish from the morning fishing outing. Solid views and good food, including cook your own catch. The Lazy Days option is unique with the key lime butter and toppings. Also the blackened is yummy. We caught a good amount of mangrove snapper while out and it was a good meal with nice views. Came here for happy hour on a Sunday and didn't realize I came here as a child with my family, many years ago. This restaurant is a place I see in fever dreams and I half thought I'd made it up, but boy am I glad we found it! The drinks deals are mid ($2 off $13 is not super happy heh) but the food menu was PHENOMENAL. Tuna tataki was small but delectable. Jalepeno poppers weee fresh, piping hot, used whole jalpenos and fresh cheese very obviously. Best i've ever had. The peel and eat shrimp were served with a trip of accoutrements (butter old bay and cocktail) and the quality was undeniable. Sweet succulent and pretty large shrimp! Had to order seconds. Manager seemed on our bartenders butt, however they can rest assured that the tall blonde man upstairs bar is tending to his customers! Everything was great!! Service was fast and friendly! Dinner was great! I had the stuffed red snapper w/béarnaise sauce and D had stuffed jumbo shrimp w/béarnaise sauce and they were perfect!! Pros: Location was great. Right off the A1A down the Keys. Just had to pull over. Ambiance was even better. Our table was right off the water, so we could watch the waves roll in and out. It was so peaceful. It was fun watching all the birds try and eat everyone's food. Lol. Service was top notch. A really nice guy who peddled drinks, but wasn't too pushy. Food came out in a timely manner. Food was pretty good, too. Everything we had was fried, but it wasn't oily or greasy or anything. Just right. Cons: No real cons. An enjoyable experience. Went on a vacation to the Florida Keys, and I did a lot of research on the best places to eat in the Keys. My research brought me to Lazy Days, and I'm very happy with my decision. The location was picture perfect. Tables and chairs right in the sand, overlooking the ocean. All the birds flying around, very peaceful. Service was also top notch. Dude was in and out, refilling drinks, food was at the table very promptly, no issues there whatsoever. I got a virgin frozen pina colada, and it was excellent. Even though they should think about offering more creative mocktails, or even simple N/A pre-made products, the pina hit the spot for me. Started off with the Coconut Fried Shrimp (Hand breaded shrimp with our coconut batter and served with our mango chutney). Standard stuff. Big sized shrimp, very crunchy breading, sweet-but-not-too-sweet chutney. Satisfying. Went on to the Fried Cracked Conch (Tenderized Bahamian queen conch, hand breaded, served with our homemade cocktail sauce). I hate conch fritters, I just do. So these I loved! Good sized hunks of conch fried beautifully, really let the conch flavor sing. They weren't overcooked or too tough or anything. It was really nice. I recommend. Finished off with, of course, the Homemade Key Lime Pie (Best in the Keys and made fresh daily). This was our first Key lime pie of the trip, and it was very nice. Sweet and tangy, cool whip to tamp it down. Just very good. I was a fan. Overall, the food aspect was a four star experience, but the beachside ambiance and the great server kicked it up a notch to a five star experience, for sure. read more

We were visiting the keys for a wedding and some locals suggested Lazy Days for a water side meal. We arrived and picked a table near the water. Great setting and the service was great. I agree with another poster that it had the feel of a touristy spot, not a locals spot. We both ordered specialty fish sandwiches and it was just OK. We had much better food at "dives" and food trucks during our trip and the price point here seemed very high. Once again, food was ok to good but not anything special. We came here last week while we were in Islamorada for a few days with some friends. We had heard that Lazy Days was the best place to get stone crabs during season - and they were right! The stone crabs were really good!! We also ordered oysters and wings. The wings were very saucy so if you're into that, you'll like it (I did!). However, the oysters came out a little too warm for me and my husband's taste. Our friends ate them and said they were good - they just weren't for us. The lazy days franchise is a staple down the overseas highway, and the food never disappoints. The mahi sandwich was cooked to perfection and the serving was so large that I should've shared. I got the fries, but my sister-in-law got the sweet potato fries and next time I think I'll go with that option because they were delicious. The conch fritters were light and airy with a little kick so good. it was quite stormy, but we still opted for an outdoor seating which was covered and I didn't even get one rain drop on me. i'm coming back when it's not raining to enjoy the amazing view. read more

We absolutely loved this place. It was busy, but there were plenty of places to sit still. At first, we sat at the bar. I had cold boiled shrimp which were made perfectly. So good. After we ate, we had drinks down by the water with our feet sunk in the sand. Their drink menu seventy was amazing. We sat there overlooking the water as beautiful seagulls and cranes came and went. Please do NOT go to this place. It was honestly one of the worst seafood platters I've ever had. The lobster was chewy, smelled off, and had absolutely no flavor or seasoning--it tasted like it had been sitting around far too long. For a seafood restaurant, that's completely unacceptable. On top of that, the service was painfully slow. It took over 50 minutes for our food to arrive, even though it was just my wife and me. Waiting that long would maybe be understandable if the food was great--but what we received was extremely disappointing. Between the poor quality food and terrible service, this place was a complete letdown. There are far better options around--save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more
