Welll, not try it out sadly but look around for new brands and check it out. Added bonis is the place is super refreshing on a hot summer day. The last time I went there was the huge deal with all the regisiters crashing and stuff but I've been 100 times without issue. To say this place is as good as it gets is clearly an overstatement but the staff are pretty cool, parking is rarely an issue and they have a decent selection. I mean, when it comes to beer stores what else do you need? That's what I thought - cheers!

They carry all the local brands in all increments (12 pack, 24, kegs, etc) and have a very large selection of imported brands as well. This beer store is not as big as the other locations in the city but you can still go in and look at the different beers not just a list like some other stores do as well. The beer is taxed to death here so if you can get a 24 at the duty free shop on your way in or out of the country lol, it'll be more than 1/2 price.

i'm shocked no one has reviewed this location as of yet. i…read moredon't live in London, but I've been to this location multiple times. my most recent time was really a hilarious story, i was picking up some beers for a band that was in London, for whatever reason i parked really far away from the front door. i picked up three cases of beer and brought it to the counter/cashier to pay and leave. the cashier for whatever reason felt the need to make some comments about my purchase, the usual "stocking up eh" once i engaged the cashier, they felt it was necessary to play 20 questions with me, and then the customers in line started to ask questions as well, small town vibes, AND i guess no one buys 3 cases in one shot, which i find hilarious as well. great staff and service, but i was pressed for time and just wanted to get in and out, that's all. will definately be back!

Directly put, they need to read a few books on customer service. I bought grains in Toronto to be able to visit London to do a first brew with family, and Danny's was the closest to downtown that would perhaps help us out to mill our grains. Easily done - a service that most shops in and around Toronto will gladly offer for a pretty low price. It's a service after all. When we called them to ask if they'd mill our grains, the person who answered the phone then asked us if we were going to buy anything else from the shop, as "that's how they make their money." Hm. The next day when we actually went in to see if they'd mill them, the number of excuses why they didn't want to mill them was amazing. Something about rodents and bugs and contamination of our grains mixed with their mill, and oh, the battery was dead anyway on their mill. What? Give me another reason why you don't want us to spend money in your shop - please. We left, and went to BrewHaven (literally, a haven for brewers!) who very gladly milled our Toronto grains for only $6 (18lbs). The person we dealt with at Danny's unfortunately had a politician's brashness to them - not suitable for service and for attempting to bring more business into their fledgeling Wine and Beers shop. You've lost us as customers, and to dozens more local brewers who will, no doubt, be heading over to BrewHaven.

The prices are competitive and I've never been disappointed with the finished product. There are cheeses and honey for sale at different times. It's just like any other LCBO, though it's bigger than you think. For fanshawe students, take the 4 and get off at Gammage! I remember when I was new to London, and I was looking for this one, the store manager told me it was in Bellwoods Plaza. I got on the bus and asked the driver if he knew where that was, and he looked confused. So remember, its right across from the Superstore :)

I like is well enough - I mean they have beer - but I wouldn't exactly go out of my way to visit this one. For starters, it's one of the ones where you simply order the beer and they bring it to you. I much prefer the ones where I get to roam amongst the beer. But this will do in a pinch. The line ups to return empties can be simply unbearbale at times - and at there worst the day after the neighbourhood recycling day. That being said, if it's people watching you are after you could do a LOT worse than here. It seems that almost every time I visit there is some some of scene or misadventure happening - and surprisingly I am not in the middle of it. On the plus side, I am convinved that this location has the friendliest and helpful staff I have ever encountered at a Beer Store. They really should be commended for their patience and postitive attitudes. And, as a added bonus, there is a REALLY good hot dog stand set up in the parking lot - with umbrellas and tables and everything. A real rarity and it often provides a happy ending to what is often an overall unpleasant trip. Well, plus I then ususally have beer, so I have that going for me ... which is nice. CHEERS!
