I've lived equal parts of my life on both sides of the border, so it is a unique spot as a visitor, and an extra stop as a local. I like picking up my beer at grocery store, gas station, corner store, etc, now-a-days. If you are driving across the border, stop at the duty free and pick up a case or a bottle for about half the price. One case or bottle per adult in vehicle. It is a crime in my family to show up at gatherings, without taking advantage of the duty free allotment. Of course, a beer store trip will still be a necessity.

I will say the best thing about this particular LCBO is the service. I have had several staff members help me on my visits (mostly for gifts). Last time I was in I was looking for a good wine for my wife's uncle, he is a huge wine guy so I wanted to wow him. They knew tons about the different wines and eventually with their help I settled on a really nice red from Spain. Her uncle loved it and it was all thanks to their help.
