I had three different companies in Springfield come out and provide quotes. The Jon Wayne Heating and Air quote for a new Train unit was right in line with one other companies quote for the same equipment. I am a real researcher before a big purchase kind of guy, so I pretty much knew what I needed and the brands that were going to meet those needs before I even had one guy out. All that was left was convincing me who to use. The third company tried to sell me on a unit I didn't want so was out of the running right there. I was pleased that all of the different companies were similar in prices, but Jon Wayne Heating came recommended from a friend who used to work in the business. The owner himself came out, and I didn't feel like I just had some slick salesman working me over. He listened to my questions and was able answer them immediately and took the time to go over everything in detail. They also handled any City Utilities tax breaks and Train rebates so I didn't have to worry about that. On the day of the install the guys came out on time, were thoroughly professional and had the new system up and running without any issues. Before they left I inspected everything closely myself and asked a few questions which they were happy to answer. I have a great new system installed at a more than reasonable price in my opinion but to be honest the big selling point wasn't the price, it was the professionalism of the company that won me over.

My new house in Springfield wasn't so new. In fact it is a 60 year old house, so I decided to have…read moreit inspected for mold and yep, Dog Gone Mold found it. Sad face! They found the reason for it was an issue with standing water in the crawl space. The solution was easy to figure out. They had to do mold remediation and then I had them install a vapor barrier, a French drain and a sump pump after correcting the level of the ground so it drained correctly to ensure it didn't become a reoccurring issue. They came out and did all of this in a timely fashion, and believe me I am glad that I had them do the inspection and fix the issues because frankly mold is just no joke and something you DO NOT want to play around with. I am so glad I had Dog Gone Mold come out and address the issue. I sleep so much better at night knowing I am not breathing that stuff in.

On top of that there was a problem with mold under the house. Once I had that remediated Enviro-Air came out and got to work on the ducts. The job they did was amazing. It took them several hours and they were thorough both before and after the job as they cleaned up after themselves. They took plenty of before and after pictures of the ducts to show what they accomplished and it's a night and day difference in what the ducts looked like. To think we were breathing all of that stuff in. Yikes! I suffer terrible allergies as well, so all that dust couldn't have been good for them. People usually don't think about general home maintenance on things they don't see, such as water heaters and air ducts, but don't neglect these things because you'll be sorry if you do and the piece of mind you will have knowing you are sleeping in a safe environment is priceless! I paid for a service call and the service technician came to the home and told us we had a leak in…read moreour system due to the age of the system. Never hooked anything up. Told us we needed new coils $3500 but recommended new system up to $19,000. I had another company come out and do a pressure test and found no leaks. We had a service completed (cleaned the coils and did some minor work) cost $1200. When you pay for a service it would be nice to get a service and multiple options to help the customer out. Seems like Air Services technicians are salesmen first, not customer first. Rob S.
