I contacted LDL to inquire about having a wrought iron gate installed on our property (driveway entrance). Not knowing anything about gates (material quality, cost, turnaround time, etc.), I had plenty of questions; but, the one thing I did know was that I needed it installed within 2 weeks. You see we were going on vacation in 2 weeks and I didn't want to leave the property because there was so much thief going on in the area; to include a break-in on our property, and several other attempts. Well, LDL understood my needs/concerns and made arrangements to come out the first of the following week. Larry Crawford (owner) arrived on-time, was very professional and extremely knowledgeable of gates, material quality & standards, and the various manufacturers' products and reputation. Larry was extremely patience with all my questions, and never once did he get irritated because of the time. He explained to me that he was the one that actually built the gates "by hand" so that he could ensure a total quality product was provided to his customer. After talking with Larry, both my husband and I could see (and it's not easy to pull something over on my husband) that he was truly a "professional' and was "true to heart". Larry's character and business ethics reminded us both of the "olden day"----where you use to have to work HARD for a living and nothing was handed to you; when you shook someone's hand - it meant something; when you made a promise to someone -- you kept it. Unfortunately, now days a lot of that so-called trustworthiness has slipped through the cracks with deception and lies--making it so much harder for the "good guys" to be trusted and succeed in business & in life. Larry (LDL) reminded us of those good ol' days.
Now, with all that being said: When Larry arrived at our home he listened to our needs, surveyed our property, and gave us several difference options to choose from; explaining each one fully. He told us that if we decided to go with LDL, he would work diligently to try and have the gate installed by the time we left on our trip (trust me, he was in no way like the other two companies I contacted prior, they simply showed no interest nor did they attempt to offer a quote before I left). By the time Larry was ready to leave, both my husband and I felt confident that Larry's character, knowledge, and skills was perfect for the job; therefore, we contracted with him to installing a 7' solar panel gate. Within a few days, Larry had come out, cleared the area and installed two heavy gate posts to ensure they were completely "set" in time to install the gate. About a week later Larry had built the gate and was ready to install. He arrived on a Saturday morning and quietly completed the install by that afternoon; he had installed and painted the gate as well as installed the solar panel all within that afternoon. His pride in workmanship is truly amazing. After we saw his craftsmanship and his dedication to quality, we were overwhelmed and pleased that we had entrusted LDL for this project; and most importantly, we found someone with true character. Two days before our trip, we decided to contact LDL and request (at their convenience) a key pad be installed just outside the gate for visitor access. All I can say to you is -- by the time we left on our trip, we had a beautiful (more than expected) gate completely installed, as well as the key pad. What an amazing experience. We could not be more pleased or happier with Larry's/LDL's professionalism, workmanship and dedication. We fully endorse and highly recommend LDL (Larry Crawford/owner) for all your gate needs.
