The restaurant is really cute though, with your gimmicky checkered table cloth and pretty decor. The service was decent. I have walked by this place since and it's pretty popular at lunch time. The average price for a pizza in Paris is about 7-13€ and the pizzas in Monte Cassino fall in this price range. The restaurant is located in Place d'Italie (metro lines 5, 6, and 7) so it usually has people eating there at all times during the day. I've had both the Monte Cassino and the pizza with chorizo, both of them which are absolutely delicious. This was the first place I tried egg on my pizza and thanks to them I now like an egg on my pizza. The crust is nice and crunchy and the toppings are just amazing- you can seriously never go wrong with artichoke. I've been here on three different times (including Valentine's day which is surprisingly not extremely busy and is a good place for a intimate dinner) and all three times I've had the same great quality food. Now why I rated this place 3 instead of 4 stars was because of the service. The service all depends on which waiter you get, sometimes you get a really talkative one and other times you may be stuck with the one that barely checks on you and makes you wait a good amount of time before taking your order. Its a shame that the service is so wishy-washy especially since the food is so good but if you can get past the cold service this place is worth checking out if you're craving good pizza in Paris.

After walking around for about 20 mins, we spotted Monte Cassino, its large brick oven and semi outdoor seating, and decided "why not?" If my memory serves me correctly, there was a bit of a wait for a table, and it was totally worth it! For starter, I had the beef carpaccio, which was excellent, if I wasn't so careful about being classy (seeing that I was in "France" and all) I probably woulda cleaned the whole plate in two attempts and ordered another right away. But, thankfully I didn't (I guess patience IS a virtue), because what came next was some pretty damn amazing deliciousness. The Monte Cassino pizza I think it was called, the toppings included artichoke hearts, mushrooms, hams, (olives? maybe, it's been a while) and an egg in the middle. And it was so good! Normally I cannot finish a whole pizza that size on my own within one seating, but despite the stretching sound my stomach was making, I just had to wipe the entire plate clean (at least I think I did...) Not that u could tell, but I had to take a long break just now... writing about the food and thinking about those raw beef slices and pizza rolling over my tongue going down my throat... aahhhh.... it was just way too overwhelming...

This restaurant was nice enough to accommodate us eventhough we were a big group (12 people) .... in Paris this is usually not easy. It needs to be said that this restaurant is just 2 blocks away from the Le Parc de Princes Stadium, which is the stadium for Paris Saint Germain team and it makes the location of the restaurant a very good location. In addition it is a very charming, warm and cozy restaurant. Decoration is subtle and very inviting. Food wise this restaurant was exceptionally good. Every thing we ordered was delicious, Everything! From appetizer to coffee all perfect. We had a tuna carpaccio as appetizer and it was delicately made and plated. Bresaola was particularly good and top quality. Pizzas and pastas which I hope the pictures can do justice to them... Very Good. Carbonara pasta was picture perfect. The pizza dough is sweet and the tomato sauce very light and tangy letting all the ingredients shine. I can't even describe it. Just do yourself a favor and come here and try it! Try everything if you can. It also has a very nice wine list that is not expensive and carries very good wines. This place is legit.

I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was. The lasagna could have used a little more seasoning / salt for my preference but it was good enough for me to finish and not have a problem coming back.
