This Nice, France Restaurant and beach spot was absolutely amazing…read more I simply cannot express how much we all needed a day to just chill at the beach. After we had already spent a week in Belgium and a day in Monaco we were already exhausted. So luckily when someone asked does anyone want to go to the beach??? we leaped at the chance to relax on the beach oh yasssss beach please!!!! This beach spot belongs to the hotel that is just behind and across from the street is Hotel Le Negresco a beautiful old hotel. The views are gorgeous the beach is beautiful and the best of all is we got full on restaurant on the beach, the servers brought us menus so we ordered French Champagne Moet Chandon Ice Imperial, my favorite of all French Champagnes OMG lucky meeeee lol We had access to this amazing and beautiful restaurant we could either eat at the open air restaurant where they had tables with umbrellas or we could order food from the restaurant and they will bring it to you on the beach so you can enjoy your food and the gorgeous views ah excellent! So we had a beautiful salad with chicken and frites with mayonnaise as the French do lol And of course we greatly enjoyed our delicious lunch and French Champagne while loving that spectacular view. They have big white chaise lounges and they give you towels and each with your own umbrellas, that these darling boys would adjust for us as the sun moved, I love love loved it all. We ate a beautiful lunch from La Plage the Restaurant it was delicious it was Champagne bliss! This is not free obviously you're paying for the food and bubbly considering it came to a little over $350 per couple for Lunch and a bottle of French Champagne and personal servers so we were there the entire day around 5 hours of heaven on a beach in Nice France. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, I highly highly recommend you will not be disappointed I can assure you! À votre santé means to your health in français. Cheers ALL see you on Yelp Review 315 -06/01/23

Make reservations ahead of time (it's easy to do online) because this place will fill up for dinner. They have 4 appetizers to choose from, about 5-6 entrees and about 7-8 desserts to choose from, and the prices are reasonable for dinner: 24€ for plat + entree or plat + dessert, and 29€ for the 3 courses. Entrées: - Velouté de topinambour / Jerusalem artichoke soup - This soup was super, super creamy and buttery. I don't want to know how much cream and/or they put in here - it was good, but very rich. There was a piece or two of bacon, and the soup was tasty. - Trilogie de betteraves / Beets cooked three ways - I was looking for something healthier to eat, and was happy this was on the menu. I wasn't sure what to expect with this dish, other than it was beets cooked three ways. There was one little dish of beet salad with green onions or scallions, a small beet poached or roasted, and a beet purée that went well with the bread. I would recommend this appetizer if you want something on the lighter/healthier side and different. Plats: - Risotto with asparagus and tomatoes - My husband ordered this and it was good but not outstanding. He added the 2 pieces of seared foie gras for 5€ which made the dish better; I think it would have been a bit bland without the foie. The asparagus was very fresh and the risotto was on the lighter side which was nice. - Salmon with Cajun seasoning and leeks - This was different than what you'd normally find in a French restaurant since I've never seen Cajun spiced things before. The salmon was a little on the small side, but it was still good and the caramelized leeks on the side were a really perfect compliment. This dish was tasty and really good, but just a bit on the smaller side compared to all the other main dishes that were meat-based (from what I saw other diners getting) We were full so we skipped dessert, but it looked pretty good - they had things like a chocolate lava cake, a praline crème brûlée, spéculos tiramisu, and financier with a passion fruit center. Overall, a good meal that won't break the bank and that has a good selection of things on the menu. More heavier " comfort food " than lighter fare, and slightly less traditional French. The ambiance was very casual - it almost felt like you were eating in a graffiti park with dim lighting and metal walls, but overall, we had a decent meal at a reasonable price. The waiters here all spoke English well and it seemed most of the clientele were tourists.

We enjoyed our walk to the restaurant through the more modern (less old) part of Nice vs the old town where we had spent most of our time during our stay. I sat on a plump leather chair which I thought was unusual for dining (more akin to sipping scotch). They had a menu where you pick from a set of entrees, mains, and desserts. They brought out bread with a small sampling of what I think was chic pea spread with a foamy creme fraise on top - very good. The split pea soup with sausage was delicious. The duck was good, but a bit chewy. For dessert, I had the sorbet of the day and we ordered the souffle which was not on the fixed menu. I think you have to try soufflé at least once in France.

Even though I'm not a huge fan of seafood, I ended up ordering their twist on pissaladière as my starter and the salmon as my main course, and I couldn't have been happier with my meal. The quality and flavor of the fish in both dishes was some of the best I've ever had. The chocolate dessert made for a rich and satisfying finish. I especially loved experiencing something regional with a fine dining twist. Everything was beautifully plated, and service was excellent. When it began to drizzle, staff instantly moved all outdoor tables under a dry awning. They timed the courses well and thoughtfully refilled our wine glasses without being annoyingly over-attentive. From beginning to end, this was a smooth, perfectly balanced experience in flavors, aesthetic, and atmosphere.

The village itself is incredibly charming, and the restaurant feels completely integrated into its stone lanes and hillside setting. I had never been anywhere quite like it. Admittedly, I cannot remember exactly what I ate, but the meal was rich, elaborate, and left me ridiculously full. I do remember a salt-crusted fish special priced at roughly €300, which captured the scale of the experience. This is classic luxury French dining in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. Beyond the meal, the entire visit felt special because the restaurant, hotel, and village all seemed connected. Walking through the old stone streets before dinner made arriving there feel like part of the experience. It remains one of the most memorable places I have ever eaten.

We were told that they would try to honor the early check-in upon availability and the room upgrade. We were told that they would call us when the room was ready. Waited until 3PM and had to go to the front desk again to see if the room was ready, it was and no upgrade. My husband was taking a nap due to the jet lag, and we put a do not disturb sign on our door. The front desk called us and woke him up anyways, saying that they saw the "do not disturb" sign but wanted to see if housekeeping could clean now. We found housekeeping staff to be rude as well. Now onto the worst service on property, which was valet. Not only are they unhappy to help you, but they called a taxi for us and forgot to load our luggage. We arrived to the Nice airport without our bag. The only silver lining here was breakfast, which was delicious and accompanied by a beautiful view. We can't recommend this hotel.

We have no restaurants in philly that have that. So we made reservations. Before anything started they brought us out small shot glasses of asparagus soup with tiny spoons. It was gone. Quickly but man was it good. Menu is just a chalkboard the carry from table to table. Guess that means it's just always changing. We got three starters. Duck liver, something egg and the tuna tartare. I tried all of them and they were spectacular. Even the liver which I do not generally like. The break basket just keeps getting refilled all night long. So don't worry about leaving hungry. For my main meal I got the fresh lobster linguini. Let me tell you.... I was never a huge fan of lobster but my mom grew up in Maine so I've reintroduced myself to it these past few years. Maybe I just grew up eating sh*t Lobster. When prepared right it can really knock your socks off. For desert I got the Nice Coffee. This was espresso, lemon sorbet and a cookie. A really great combination. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It can be hard when you don't speak any French! Perfect noise level. I don't think any music was playing. I 408 euros for 4 people. There was a bottle of wine and mixed drinks in there too. So I don't think that's terrible.
